Much had changed in the world of labor and delivery in the eight years between the birth of my two childlren.  I had the opportunity to utilize a doula for the birth of my son just two months ago.  My birth plan included a hospital birth with induction and epidural.  Sherry Wright-Jeter met with me several times ahead of the big day to assess my needs and wants.  She was reliable and professional.  She attentatively listened to my concerns and anxieties.  Even though I was using pain management with an epidural, I had many anxieties about labor and delivery, which she was very sensitive to.

The day of my deliver, Sherry was there when I requested her and was the one to help facilitate what I was able to do to  naturally manage my discomfort until I was ready to get my epidural. I didn't realize some of the different techniques I could do while hooked up to the IV, but Sherry Wright-Jeter was able to discuss that with the nurse and facilitate. I didn't have to worry about it; she took care of all of that for me. She also taught my husband what he could do, and discussed with him what to expect through each part of the process. I didn't have to stress about that either. He felt much more at ease and even decided to cut the cord after she shared with him what to expect - he was just that comfortable knowing what it would be like.  She worked as a member of the team with my nurses, OB, and family.

Sherry Wright-Jeter was professional, covering all the questions and planning with convenient and informative interviews before the big day; was caring and calm; was reliable; was knowledgeable; and was most of all supportive of my wants and needs. I would highly recommend Sherry Wright-Jeter!

Sherry did an amazing job helping my wife and I during the birth of our son.  Her vast knowledge, patiences, and care allowed my wife to endure the physical discomfort of childbirth and focus on the excitement of the event.  Sherry taught me several techniques to help my wife during contractions which allowed me to feel very involved in the process!

Additionally, Sherry gave me a lot of information as a new father about the birthing process that really helped take away a lot of my anxiety and allowed me to enjoy the process!  I would highly recommend her to anyone!
