Brittani made me feel at ease from our first conversation and it seemed like we already knew each other, so choosing her to be a part of our birth experience was easy.

My husband and I work opposite schedules so Brittani did our childbirth preparation at home, walking through options and “what to expect” on our schedule. This made our coaching personalized, specific, comfortable and efficient. She was supportive of our choices, making my husband comfortable because he didn’t know how or why I wanted to have a baby without interventions. Brittani recognized he also wasn’t the type to read all the natural birth books, so she gave him highlights to help him be an effective partner and spare him the pregnant nagging.

I leaned on Brittani, whether I had questions or concerns, or just needed someone to talk to that understood what I was going through. She provided many suggestions to ease discomfort, worry and fear. I didn’t handle doctors well and she made sure I had the tools to succeed in testing and appointments. I was always excited to give her the updates and she was happy to listen.

At the 11th hour, we had to decide how our son was going to enter this world. I was facing potential risks to my health (and therefore his) if we stuck to the natural, intervention free birth plan. Before making the final call, Brittani walked us through the evidence based facts again. She didn’t influence us, just encouraged us to do what felt right. We chose a scheduled c-section, which was originally an absolute no for me, and Brittani was supportive. She was there to meet me in recovery, help me breastfeed and capture our first moments as a family.

As I’ve had recovery questions, lactation concerns and new mom worries, Brittani has always been there for me. I can’t imagine having done it without her. I feel fortunate for the experience and hope others are as lucky.

My partner and I had the pleasure of having Brittani as our doula these last few months as we prepared to welcome our first born. We are extremely grateful that we got the opportunity to work with Brittani as she is extremely knowledgable, a great communicator,  patient, an attentive listener, and prompt at connecting us to resources. Brittani checked in with us weekly and made herself available to both of us via phone call or text. My partner and I decided to have a hospital birth. Brittani was supportive, offered topics for us to think about, and provided great advice as we prepared for our birth strategy. She was also a pivotal member of our birth team and helped us through the labor and delivery experience, which lasted 28 hours! We greatly appreciated that Brittani stuck around since we had to have a c-section. She helped my partner and I mentally prepare for that experience, which led to the successful welcoming of our baby girl. Britanni captured those important moments for us by taking pictures so that my partner and I could soley focus on this first-time experience for our family. Brittani continues to make herself available to us. We appreciate that she came to our house for a postpartum visit, and we look forward to staying in touch with her. We highly recommend working with Brittani as she is an exceptional person and doula!

Brittani is a calming and peaceful presence during birth.  We were fortunate to have Brittani at the brith of our third child.  I was able to have two natural births before our third so I thought things would be a walk in the park - our third came fast and I was thankful to have Brittani by our side.  She was an incredible support not only for myself but for my husband. She was able to stay with me in triage while my husband went to be with our newly born baby as well as direct my husband in best practices in care for myself and the baby.  She was wonderful in advocating for us to medical personnale while keeping all of our desires in mind.  She has a very gentle, kind bed-side manner.  She was great in all capacities; before, during and after the birth of our baby.  Brittani went above and beyond what we were expecting.  I would highly recommend her.

We hired Brittani to accompany us during the birth of our second child. We had never hired a doula before, so I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. We are so thankful today that we found Brittani! I really wanted to avoid a repeat c-section, and Brittani was my advocate in making sure that I did everything I could to support the best outcome for a normal vaginal birth. This might have been my second birth, but since my first was a planned c-section, I didn’t know what to expect during labor. Brittani talked me through potential scenarios and helped me visualize what I could expect. She spent the months l leading up to my birth talking with me and texting with me, checking in to make sure I was doing okay physically and emotionally. She sent me exercises to help me prepare for birth or get baby into the best position. She would text me reminders throughout the day to adjust my posture in a way that would facilitate an easier childbirth. She knew when to let me talk and when to give me advice. Brittani definitely made my goal of having a successful vbac much easier to attain. My birth was a successful, positive experience. I owe much of that to Brittani! I am so thankful I had her to help me prepare. I know the experience would not have been the same without her!

After some medical complications resulted in an emergency c-section for my first birth, my husband and I were left with an amazing little boy and some fears about how my second labor and birth would go. Adamant about wanting to try for an unmedicated Vbac I contacted Brittani and immediately felt at ease. She was in the process of finishing up her doula certification training and such a calming kind presence. She met with my husband and I in our home a few times before the birth and checked in frequently. She could sense our apprehension and had great suggestions like meeting with an ICAN chapter to help talk about my first birth so that I was able to let go of those fears and focus positively on the birth of my daughter. She helped us write our birth plan and discuss all the possibilities so that we felt better prepared and supported. Even when I felt like the birth I wanted was slipping away she helped me gain perspective and focus on what was truly important. As well as gave me great talking points and questions to discuss with my doctor.
During the actual labor she was fantastic offering my husband tips and ideas on how to support me and ease my pain, stepping in when he needed a break, praying for us and with us, capturing photos and quietly slipping into the background when her suggestions were working. She was available to us via phone and text the entire induction, labor and delivery and was at the hospital with us over 14 hours all while being 31+weeks pregnant herself.
Brittani is an amazing advocate, doula and friend and is a big reason I was able to have an induced unmedicated vbac.

Brittani is a wonderful advocate and support through the pregnancy and birth process. She provided great resources for local professional help along the way i.e. Chiropractors, midwives, etc. She talked us through all our options and how to create a birthplan that worked best for our situation/desires without a bias towards one strategy or another. She was a great support for my husband and I both during labor and delivery. She has a very calming presence and is knowledgeable about your options in the delivery room. Her demeanor is very sweet and she is always genuinely happy to help in any way she can. I cannot recommend her enough!
