Stephanie was a wonderful and supportive doula! So blessed to have had her at the birth of my daughter.

Stephanie is fantastic! She was my doula for both my children. She really listens to you and is with you through the whole process, especially at time of delivery. When getting pregnant with my first, I didn't actually realize that when you are in the delivery room, doctors only come to check in on you from time to time until you are ready for delivery. Other than this, there are no other health professionals in the room. So knowing Stephanie was there, I felt so much comfort. She did not leave my sight for both my pregnancies and did everything to make me feel comfortable. She really is fantastic!

It’s hard to know where to start, I could just say so much. One factor that helped me know I wanted to work with Stephanie was that her work is rooted in study and research in addition to her years of practical experience. She has a strong presence in the very best sense and makes you feel she is 100% on your side. She asked my thoughts and preferences rather than pushing her own on me and respected my choices, which helped to build trust. I saw her as a trusted support person almost immediately. She is professional, but also warm, and has a sense of humor. Stephanie met with me and my husband prior to my delivery and we discussed factors to consider for our birth plan. She was attentive and informative and even helped us practice baby swaddling and changing diapers, which eased some of our worry as first time parents-to-be. When I was admitted to the hospital due to complications, she helped ease my anxiety over the phone and arrived in time for my labor. Stephanie was great at clarifying what all of the medical lingo meant and the reason for the various medications and procedures. My husband and mother were also present, but it was especially reassuring to have someone with her experience assisting so many women in labor before me. When the contractions became painful, she knew the area on my back to press to reduce the pain and showed them. She didn't challenge my decision to finally ask for an epidural and just continued to be there for us. I ended up needing to deliver via an unexpected C-section 11.5 hours in. It was immediate tears, realizing my birth plan would not be possible. I can’t remember what she said, just her holding my hands and calming me. Finally, my son had difficulty latching and she was incredibly supportive with that issue as well until it was resolved. I am so grateful for her strong and supportive presence before, during, and after my labor. If you are looking for a doula, I believe you could not be in better hands.

Stephanie was a pleasure to work with and supported me during ny first birth. She was able to provide guidance to my husband as needed and offered both encouragement and hands on support. She was knowledgeable about the hospital I gave birth in which was an added bonus. Thank you for all your help in having the birth I wanted.

I was fortunate to have Stephanie as my doula for two of my pregnancies and deliveries. She was a cheerleader and supportive coach to me in the last few weeks of my pregnancies as well as during birth. I had to be induced for both pregnancies and she was a great resource in helping to coach through labor pain. She helped with different techniques, using birth balls, peanut balls, etc. and we did not have to rely on the busy nursing staff to help us with this. She was also open to me getting epidurals and helped with positioning and continuing to progress through labor once receiving an epidural as well. She helped advocate with the hospital staff, and ensured I was understanding of anything they had suggested during my care. Stephanie is fun, outgoing, and was more than happy to have conversation throughout the birth process. She is someone I would trust with any other pregnancies and births I have in the future.

So when I found out I was pregnant with my first child I was excited but also scared. When I told Stephanie of my exciting news she offered to be my Doula. She helped me and my husband get prepared for the little one. There was so much about pregnancy I didn't know and she helped me step by step. It helped elevate some of the stress of it all. She walked through the steps of labor and helped me with my birth plan. When I called her after midnight telling her my contractions were getting more intense and we were off to the hospital she was there to tell me to breathe. She walked with me in the hospital for two hours to talk and remind me to breathe. She was there when it was time to have the baby. Holding my hand and telling me to breathe. She was there afterwards to check up on me and baby. If you are pregnant whether its your first or fourth I recommend having Stephanie as your Doula. She is there for you every step of the way and I'm not sure what I would've done without her. She made my pregnancy less stress and easy going.
