Jheny was recommend to me for placenta encapsulation when I had my daughter. She was very responsive. She answered all my questions and always got back to me in a timely manner. She was "on call" when I went into the hospital to deliver. She was able to quickly arrive at the hospital to pickup my placenta shortly after delivery. Her turnaround time was very fast, she came and delivered the pills to my house within a day or two. She was extremely professional and knowledgeable about what she does.
I feel so much gratitude at having Jheny as my birth doula. I knew right away from meeting her that I wanted her to be a part of my team. She was warm, kind, knowledgeable, supportive, compassionate and reassuring. She made herself available for me during my pregnancy, no matter when I needed to ask a question or tell her how I was feeling. I always felt cared for and listened to. She was the most reassuring when at 41 weeks I had to abruptly be sent into the hospital to be induced. I was disappointed and feeling so down. Never once did she miss a chance to remind me that everything was going to be ok. She coached me through methods that they may use and made me feel at ease. She visited me early on to make sure I was ok, brought me supplies to use in early labor and was instrumental in reminding me what I needed to do to push my baby girl out. She held my leg and said exactly what I needed to hear to push effectively and in a relaxed way. She was so positive and supportive. She also stayed with me after birth to make sure my husband and I were at ease. She checked in on us after leaving and delivered my placenta pills within two days of delivery. I feel so much love and gratitude for her being a part of my pregnancy and birth. She literally is one of the best decisions I made for myself and my family.
I worked with Jheny for my placenta encapsulation. Jheny could not have made the process easier. Her contract was extremely reasonable and straight forward and her pricing was right on target with what I had paid for encapsulation with my first baby which felt extremely fair. I received easy follow up instructions for my capsules and Jheny was easily reachable and responsive with any and all questions I had!
I recently used Jheny’s services for placenta encapsulation, as I had a planned cesarean we didn’t use a doula this time. We moved between the birth of our first and second, leaving me too far away from the person I used previously. Jheny was recommended by her and from the very beginning Jheny was great and easy to work with. I’m a bit outside of her normal area but we talked through a few options of ways to make it work. Keep in mind I procrastinated and was contacting her for the first time about 2 weeks from my c section date. She was very informative and provided me lots of information to look over. I actually learned more about encapsulation from Jheny’s information than I previously had. I made it to my planned c section date and was delayed by a few hours but Jheny was very flexible on receiving my placenta. She processed it quickly and got it back to me in the same cooler it was dropped off in, with the cutest heart from a piece. I would definitely recommend her and can’t thank her enough for her services.
My husband and I are so very grateful to have had Jheny Cubero as our birth doula! She is extremely knowledgeable and passionate. Her support started long before our birth with excellent prenatal visits. When I was nervous about my gestational diabetes Jheny was reassuring. Then when we unexpectedly needed to change our care provider while 35 weeks pregnant, she offered invaluable support and suggestions.
When it came down to the birth Jheny was a pro. Truthfully, since we changed practices so late, I’m not sure we could have even found the door to labor and delivery without her. Jheny is comfortable swooping in and getting everything rolling for a happy birth. While the nurse and midwife were doing initial assessments of my baby and I, Jheny got my bath ready. When I vomited she was right there with a tasty drink to chase the icky flavor that lingers. Jheny got me the most wonderful washcloth with oils on it to sooth my nausea and discomfort. She supported my husband as well, making sure he was hydrated, and helping him help me by offering a pillow for me to lean on him with and making suggestions about comfort measures.
When it was time to push my baby out, Jheny was part of a dream team. Jheny held one leg, a nurse held the other, and the midwife was taking care of my perineum. My husband was free to pet me, and be fully present to witness the miracle of his child being born. All four of them encouraged me. I didn’t realize it took four people to help one woman get a baby out, but I needed all of them, and if Jheny wasn’t there, it wouldn’t have been the same. Immediately post-partum I was a shaking little leaf and couldn’t hardly look at my baby, I only held him tight to me. Jheny reassured us and helped my sweet baby latch until I could relax.
If I ever have another baby, I know I’ll be calling Jheny up to doula us again. She is wonderful and truly instrumental to a peaceful natural birth.
Before I had gotten pregnant, I had never even heard of a doula before. After my experience with Jheny, however, I can't imagine going through pregnancy and labor without one. I had not looked into, met, and eventually hired a doula until I was very close to the 40 week mark, so I was nervous about going through such an intimate and traumatic experience with someone that I barely knew. That was not a problem with Jheny at all. She is friendly, open, funny, and very comforting. Coming up on labor, I kept her busy with frequent texts concerning my condition and she was always quick to come back with not only answers but consistent words of encouragement and reassurance. When it came time for me to get to the hospital, she was there with things that I didn't even know that I needed. I labored in the hospital for 9 hours and for every single contraction, Jheny was by my side. She provided counter pressure, massages, cold compresses, sips of water, anything that I needed. Most of the time I was so immersed in my labor that I didn't speak yet she knew exactly what I needed without me having to ask. It meant a great deal to me that I labored naturally and I'll admit that there was a time that I was begging for the epidural. Jheny was able to guide me through the rest of my labor without giving in to the epidural through constant reassurance that I was strong and could do this. There is no doubt in my mind that if I had not had Jheny there then my labor would have gone completely differently. I would have been hooked up to the epidural only a few hours in. With Jheny, I was able to go through 14 hours of labor and delivery exactly how I had intended. Not only that, but I got through it feeling stronger and more indestructable than I had ever felt in my life. Jheny was absoltely essential to my entire experience and I can't wait to work with her again.
Jheny is an amazing doula. She was there before, during, and after the birth of my baby boy, and was truly a simultaneously empowering and calming presence. Jheny was such a great support system to both myself and my husband. During labor she helped us to remember different laboring positions to get through the contractions. She held my hand and encouraged me through the delivery of my boy. After delivery, I received a lot of useful advice about breastfeeding, but Jheny’s was the most helpful and encouraging. I am lucky to have Jheny be a part of my birthing experience and life. She is truly a treasure and you will be so happy to have her be a part of your birth. -Steph, Ward, and Ozro
