Stephanie’s doula support was essential to my birth and postpartum experience!  Her warm, calm, caring personality makes her a great doula and a great caretaker for my son.

Stephanie met with my husband and I before my son was born to help us prepare for the birth I envisioned.  I felt very supported as Stephanie was always available for my questions and checked in on me frequently as I got closer to my due date.  She also came to our house to participate in our last hynobirthing online class.  We were able to practice comfort measures during the class and it was great to have Stephanie there.  Two days later my water broke.  I checked in with Stephanie throughout the day and she was great at suggesting positions to ease my back labor.  My labor progressed quickly and Stephanie met us at the hospital.  Her calm demeanor was so supportive and I had the unmedicated natural birth I wanted!  Stephanie took amazing photos of our new family right after.  She was the first person to hold my son after my husband and I did.

Stephanie has been helping my family and I ever since (my son is now 6 months old).  Her overnight stays in the early days were amazing as I was able to rest when I could and just focus on nursing the baby when he woke up.  Stephanie took care of the rest.  She was so great at multitasking and quickly got things around the house while taking care of the baby or while the baby is napping.  Stephanie was also proactive and would help out with things without me even asking her to (emptying the dishwasher, taking out the trash, laundry, etc.).  She was so good with my son and I learned a lot from her too.  It was also nice to have someone who my son knew and who I could confide in.  I can’t say enough positive things about her!

I highly recommend Stephanie as a birth and postpartum doula!

Where do I begin?! In the beginning my husband was on the fence about having a doula present at the birth of our baby girl, but right after meeting with Stephanie her knowledge and positive, yet calm vibe really sold us!I was super nervous as it was my first birth and I really didn’t know what to expect. I had this image in my head of all of the women you see in movies giving birth and they are yelling and screaming and I just knew that was not an environment that I wanted for our family. After our first pre-natal visit with Steph my husband and I instantly felt at ease. She answered all of our questions, we created a birth plan together, we practiced some comfort measure and I just felt an all around sense of comfort after making a “plan of action”After the initial pre natal visit we kept in contact with Stephanie and she would check in from time to time and see how all of our appointments were going and she offered 24/7 support for questions, comments and concerns. She offered to come for one more pre natal visit, but I felt that everything we discussed in the first meeting had us covered. After about 3-4 hours at home tracking my contractions they started getting stronger and closer together. Stephanie met us at the hospital and once we were settled everything started progressing quickly. I was very happy to have her there with us to explain what was going on and helping make the chaotic environment of the hospital a little more tranquil. With Stephanie’s support I was able to have the natural birth I was hoping for. I would undoubtedly recommend her to family, friends or anyone who is hoping for a memorable and special experience during such an irreplaceable moment in your life. Steph even brought her camera and got some great shots as our first moments as a family of three. She will be the first person we call if we decide to add another member to our family!

I honestly could not say more wonderful things about Stephanie. Originally, I wasn’t sure about bringing a doula into my pregnancy but looking back I couldn’t imagine it without her. She walked me through this process which as a first time mother can undoubtedly be scary. She was extremely knowledgable and helpful in navigating me through the last couple of months of my pregnancy and birth. She eased my nervous and provided me with unwavering support. Stephanie was easily accessible to answer whatever questions that came to mind. As my due date approached, I felt more confident than I ever imagined and I credit that to Stephanie. If you have the privilege to have Stephanie assist you in the most important, wonderful process of life, I highly recommend her.
