There are not enough words to express how grateful we were to have Kaelie by our side the last few weeks of pregnancy. At around 34 weeks, our doctor suggested that we might want to have a doula present at our VBAC and we quickly found Kaelie through a friend’s recommendation. It truly made all of the difference. I was able to talk through all of my anxieties and fears with her and she assisted us in crafting a customized birth plan that gave me so much peace those last few weeks. She was also communicating with me proactively and I felt like we were on the same page at all times. Before we decided to hire Kaelie, she made us aware that she would be unavailable on some dates shortly after our due date. As fate would have it, I went in labor a few days after my due date and she handed us over to another incredible doula who took us through the actual birth itself. Because I knew Kaelie so well, I had zero anxiety about being put into another doula’s hands - I knew Kaelie would only send us to someone as equally wonderful as herself. After the birth, we met one final time and worked though my feelings about the birth and any questions that I had. I felt that the whole experience was seamless and I am incredibly grateful that we put ourselves into Kaelie’s very capable hands. We 100% recommend her to anyone looking to hire a doula in the HSV area!

We love Kaelie!! It was a joy to have her by my side for the birth of our baby boy! Her knowledge and experience was incredibly helpful as we made decisions throughout pregnancy and in the delivery room! She is so calm, peaceful, and informed. Breathed through contractions with me for literally a whole day and some! ??

She was even willing to miss a concert for us! Ha! But baby came right in time.

I would literally run out of room if I were to share all of my thoughts about Kaelie! Simply put, she saved my life and my family's lives with how positive and encouraging she was during pregnancy through to delivery. I went from traumatic first csection birth to an unmedicated natural second birth because of her! I had severe PPD with my first and she knew how bad I needed this natural birth solely because I knew I could do it and prove my ex-OB office wrong! And quite honestly I don't think I could make it through another csection. I need more stars to put on here. Will ALWAYS recommend her and if we were to have another, I will not hesitate to call her!

I first hired Kaelie to encapsulate my placenta with my first child. My birth ended up being a bit traumatic for me, and I had a lot of shame. We decided not to encapsulate my placenta for reasons I don’t need to get into, but Kaelie was so kind to me. She offered to talk to me about my experience and told me to contact her any time. This really comforted me. I then hired her again 3 years later to be my doula for my second child’s home birth. I truly had the best birth team (her, my midwives, and my husband) and most incredible experience. Kaelie was kind, comforting compassionate, and knowledgeable through all of our pre and post natal visits, as well as during my labor and birth. My husband agrees, and we highly recommend her to anyone looking for a doula.

Kaelie is an excellent doula… she listens to her clients’ needs and desires and then helps them accomplish the birth they want. She does this with incredible care and kindness, and is very professional and experienced in what she does.

My labor was very slow and steady over a few days. While I didn’t need her to physically be with me until I hit active labor and went to the hospital, she was great at helping me navigate what seemed to be a very confusing early labor pattern. She helped me know when to rest and when to try things like the Miles Circuit.

I ended up having a very quick delivery after getting to the hospital and she was right there with me and my husband as things went from 0-100 very quickly, and helped let the hospital staff know that things were happening quicker than they thought they were!

I would definitely hire her again if I have another baby!

I'd definitely recommend Kaelie for your doula! She was great at communicating, knowledgeable about labor, has a very calm vibe, very personable, and respected our wishes for labor.

There will never be enough words to express my gratitude for what Kaelie has done for us! I was worried I started looking for a doula way too late after reaching out to one’s in Birmingham(closer to where I am from) and being told everyone is full. Thankfully one of the groups sent out my information and I got 3 hits! The next week we talked with 3 amazing women but decided on Kaelie. She answered everything before I even had a chance to ask and even encouraged us to be sure I chose the person I clicked with most (this is very important!)

My ‘goal’ was to have a natural physiologic birth… no induction, no pain meds. Well go figure down close to my estimated due date my BP and other blood markers started not looking great, Kaelie talked me through how to handle everything and I was able to hold off on induction initially. I finally gave in due to some not so great blood work and started my induction 3 days prior to my due date. As a chiropractor I had the medical knowledge about what my body was about to go through but the mental and emotional support she provided my husband and I cannot be measured.

Oh did I mention there was 1 weekend she would be out of town… just happens to fall during all of this.. BUT this is why I will 100% use and recommend Kaelie to anyone…She had a backup plan and not just someone that can fill in, people with just as much knowledge and experience and love for helping mommas through this process. I’ll admit day 2 in hospital when we told her I was about to breaking point and we weee told the backup was on her way I got nervous. But Kaelie delivered on her promise that no matter what she had me!

I am now 6 weeks postpartum with a perfect little boy who I would not have gotten here without BOTH of my doulas support before, during and after birth!
9/22/22 Almost 36 hours after being admitted our little man arrived with no pain meds, and very little tearing.

I feel so lucky to have met and had the opportunity to have Kaelie as my Doula. She’s not only incredibly kind and supportive, but she’s also just a generally wonderful person to be around. She not only drove 5 hours to be present at my birth, but stayed by my side until the late evening arrival of our little one. 

Looking back at my birth experience, I can say that Kaelie’s involvement was a huge part of why it was so positive. I did end up opting for an epidural and she kept me company during the day and was a huge support when things became more difficult - Both my partner and I are so thankful for her constant and tireless support.

Could not have had the amazing birth experience I did without her. We are beyond thankful.plan to use her again if we have another baby.She was supportive of every decision I made and talked me through everything really well. She was extremely supportive before and after the pregnancy. I don't know what we would have done without her!

Im so grateful to have worked with Kaylee. She is absolutely so amazing and understanding. My pregnancy wasn't easy... meaning I didn't have the support of the father with me. Kaylee helped me experience such a peaceful birth, and truly gave me all the support I needed that day. She is just wonderful to work with! Also, always available for any advice you need before and after giving birth. Highly recommend her!!

I am so glad to have had Kaelie as my doula for the birth of my daughter Ava! She is very sweet, knowledgeable and was a tremendous help to my husband and I before, during, and after the birth. When we were considering hiring a doula, I knew that I wanted someone who would help me to understand the birth process so I’d feel more confident in general and empowered to make good decisions. Kaelie’s style was an excellent fit for what I wanted in my birth experience.

Kaelie provided a lot of useful information and responded to our questions thoughtfully. She helped us formulate our birth plan and helped us feel as prepared as we could for the birth. Throughout the process, I appreciated that, rather than telling us what we should do, she explained the pros and cons of various decisions.

Kaelie talked me through my uncertainty while I labored at home and I was so happy I made it to 4cm. At the hospital, Kaelie worked extremely well with my husband, the nurses and with my OB/GYN. While in labor Kaelie was so helpful and patient. It was nice always having someone there so my husband could sleep or run out to get a quick bite to eat. At one point during labor my cervix was swollen and Kaelie was able to help lead the nurse in various spinning babies techniques to reduce the swelling which was amazing and really helped my labor progress. While I began to push, Kaelie was so encouraging and gave me the confidence I needed to bring my daughter safely into this world.

Since Ava’s arrival, Kaelie has continued to be so helpful in answering questions and connecting me with so many great resources.

Overall I am very happy that I had such a positive birth experience and we cannot say thank you enough to Kaelie for being such a great support through the whole process.

Kaelie was an amazing person to work with. She was a constant comfort and stayed up to date on my progress. In the end, I had to move my scheduled caesarean up a week at the last minute and she was flexible and able to be by my side the entire time. She has also checked on me throughout my recovery and even encapsulated my placenta (something I also really encourage!). On top of all the fantastic services she offers she is also an amazing person to be around. Her happy energy and positive attitude make her the perfect doula.  I highly recommend her for any of your birthing/baby growing needs!
