Birth Fee: $750

Postpartum Rate: $30

Fee Details: Fee includes initial meeting with you and your partner to become acquainted and explore/discuss priorities, concerns, expectations. Then we will need a prenatal meeting(s) to discuss birth plans, comfort measures, etc. My "on call” period is 2 weeks before their EDD-to two weeks after. During that time, I will make myself very available to you for phone conversations (and by text or email) for your thoughts and questions, information or planning. Once labor starts, I will remain with you, until an hour or two after you deliver your baby. Postpartum support can be contracted prior to delivery and then tailored to specific days/hours needed after baby arrives. A 2nd set of experienced hands is valuable during this transitional time. I am an experienced mom, but also a birth and baby professional; able to listen, support and guide... a mother to the new mother.

I never actually had Cynthia as a doula, as my birth experience didn't go as I had planned - but she was the teacher of the childbirth class that I attended. She is very knowledgeable and kind and will do her best to guide you in the right direction, even if you don't end up using her as a doula. She does her best to listen to your concerns and responds to your thoughts with consideration. I recommend her as a doula or a consultant based upon her experiences that she shared in class and how well she knows her stuff! She even met up with me later during my post partum period just to see how I was doing and to meet my little one that ended up being delivered via C-section due to some health issues that I had developed suddenly. She is definitely worth talking to if you just have questions about breastfeeding or post partum care for mom and baby. Give her a call! ??

I had my first without a doula. Second with honeybee doula. I wish I had always had a doula. Cindy was always a step ahead and made it easy for me. I felt secure and I knew someone was my advocate for when I was in labor and didn’t have the energy to have a voice. I delivered at Martha Jefferson with Jefferson OB and Cindy as my doula.

I am also receiving post partum care. There is no amount of money that can buy the love and support I have right now. It’s not a job, it’s a relationship.

There are people in your life that are “your people.” Cindy has become one of “my people” through this experience.

oh, and My husband is so happy we had a doula... she supported him so that he could support me!!

I can vouch for the loving and educational support you gave me throughout my pregnancy and birth, Cindy! You were a wonderful, guiding light, on what to expect; helping me with each step of labor, birth and postpartum.

You gave me tips on what to do as a new mom to help me/him through the initial phases of being a newborn, and what to expect?

You were there with just the right amount of information to support me through my journey. I felt totally taken care of, at all the right times, while you were also respectful of my need for privacy. Thank you, Cindy, for your Doula—Magic!

All my best,
Lilla Barrett
