Working with families is truly my life calling. I have extensive experience (over 20 years) working with Postpartum Families, and the last few years serving as a Birth Doula has been amazing. I believe in Doula Care for every family, and that Doula Care is a necessity, not a luxury. I am trained in Non-Violent Communication and a graduate of the Hoffman Process. When I first looked for a doula- I looked for someone that had knowledge of deaf culture and sign language. Turns out Julie was an sign language interpreter before she became an doula!

when we first met- she was friendly and open! I loved all of the one on one classes with her- she is incredibly detailed and organized when it comes to birthing. I learned a lot of things that I was completely unaware of, and my rights when it comes to certain things. She also helped me form a plan A and plan B if things doesn't go the way I expect it to! It's nice to have that security in place, when things are hectic during birth!

she also came to my appointment to meet my OB (shell also go to any of your appointments that you ask her to as long it doesn't interfere with her other clients' births) which is also great and helpful when your S/O isn't able to make it.

ive had an incredibly hard pregnancy, and it's been hard to be positive. Julie often reminded me to be positive, the good side of a bad situation, and always brings positivity to our conversations which is definitely something that I needed, because I'm always constantly doubting myself, thinking the worse.

you won't regret it if you hire Julie as your doula. She has been nothing but supportive and open. ??

We were so happy to have found Julie for post partum doula support. She brought such a wonderful calming energy to a very stressful time in our lives. After relocating across the country and delivering twins, Julie was able to help our family transition from being parents of 1 to parents of 3. Julie was flexible to our changing needs. She worked several overnights a week for the first 6 weeks allowing me to get some needed rest. She gave great advice and guidance during those early weeks on breast/bottle feeding, pumping, bathing, sleeping and self care. She has a loving way with the twins that made me feel safe and confident leaving them in her care. Julie also assisted with laundry, bottle cleaning/sterilizing and would regularly prepare meals during her overnights so that the following nights dinner was ready made! We were lucky to have Julie!

Julie was incredible! As first time parents, we were so nervous, tired, stressed, etc but Julie was so comforting and encouraging. Highly recommend her services.

I can't thank Julie enough for her postpartum doula service!  She completely and nonjudgmentally adapted to the needs of my daughter and I.  For me, the postpartum period was much more difficult than prenatal challenges and Julie gave me the skills I needed to care for my baby.  Julie has a love and passion for babies and their famiies.  She brought so much information and expertise on infant care and left me with the confidence to be the mom I wanted to be.  I would recommend her service for anyone, and any family, with a newborn or infant.
