I cannot say enough wonderful things about Chris! For starters, I knew instantly that Chris was going to be our doula the moment I met her — truly such a warm, personable and caring individual. Chris was with me every step of the way for my birth journey. I seriously had the birth labor and delivery thanks to Chris knowing exactly what to do and how to help me navigate in the moment. We also hired Chris for postpartum services where she came by the house several days a week after our baby was born to help us get acclimated, help with taking care of the house, and certainly made sure I was fed (the little snack packs were awesome)! I would hire Chris a thousand times over and would never attempt another birth without her. Chris is forever in our hearts and we are grateful for all of her knowledge, resources and attention she gave us before, during and after our baby arrived. 10/10!!
Chris is an excellent supporter of a expectant mother’s wishes and is such a great resource of great info. She was the best help to me she could ever be, and let me know if I was scared if what I was experiencing was normal or if I needed to seek other professional help. She’s a great sounding board and she is trustworthy. Very kind personality and not pushy in the least. Love her, and I would use her again.
I can honestly say that having Chris as a doula was completely experience-changing. I’m truly not sure what I would have done without her! She was a calm and supportive presence when I felt like giving up (and when I wanted to deck everyone else in the room). I distinctly remember a moment when I felt like everyone in the delivery room was getting a little “too excited” and the commotion and energy in the room was too much for me; I looked at Chris and she was calm as ever, reminding me I would be ok and it truly made all the difference. Being a doula is a calling and this woman is 100% in the field meant for her. Thank you Chris!
Chris was my labor doula with my third child. We had an excellent, calm labor and a quick delivery. Chris was able to keep us calm, and gave me visualizations during difficult contractions to keep me focused on relaxing my body throughout. She supported me completely, was actively engaged in my labor, and spoiled me when I needed it. We couldn't have had a better experience and I wouldn't change a single thing about our time with Chris. I am a firm believer that every laboring mother needs a doula at her side and I'm so thankful Chris was there for us.
Chris served as the doula during our daughter's birth last year, and I cannot say enough good things about our experience with her! This was my first birthing experience, and Chris was a guiding light for both my husband and me during the labor and delivery process. Once I knew I was in labor, I called her early in the morning and she came right over and was with us until close to midnight after we were finally settled with our baby in the hospital. I had expressed from the beginning that I wanted to try for a natural childbirth, but Chris made sure I knew that she would support me in whatever decision I came to during labor. I was able to labor primarily at home before going to the hospital, and she was such a calming force for my husband and me. She would suggest different positions for contractions but also really took into account my response as to what she would suggest. I could go on and on, but I cannot recommend her highly enough! She even taught us an awesome swaddling technique when she came over for our postpartum visit!
I cannot say enough great things about Chris! I was sold on having a doula for my first son’s birth, but my husband wasn’t convinced it was necessary. After labor, my husband said multiple times that he was so happy that we had Chris there to assist! Chris offered wonderful advice through the labor process, and I’m sure I had a short labor thanks to her suggestions. She offered a positive and calming energy throughout my pregnancy and birth. She was always available to answer my questions and genuinely cared for our family. We knew we could depend upon her. I would recommend Chris to my friends and family, especially first time moms!
