I started "The Journey Support Group & Workshop Series" for birthing folks seeking support with cesarean healing & VBAC preparation in 2019. With this work I offer a monthly healing circles, individual/couples consultations and a virtual community through Patreon (coming in Spring 2021). I also host a weekly IG live series - "Monday Birth Cyper" @phoenixrisingbirthworks for inspiration & information on various topics related to cesarean birth and VBAC. Also in 2019, I started "The Purple Lotus Project" for Black/Indigenous birthing folks/parents who are living in the intersections of healing from generational trauma and raising their families. While the focus is the intersections of childhood sexual abuse & birth trauma, those who have experienced any manner of generational trauma are welcome. I offer quarterly healing circles in person and, beginning in spring 2021, virtual monthly healing circles as well as a weekly IG live series. In summer 2021, I will also be introducing workshops for birth professionals and birthkeepers seeking a holistic approach to supporting their clients who are healing from generational & birth trauma.

My experience with doulas match was a good one Iris was very helpful she was available whenever I needed her .She's very smart and intelligent going into my third pregnancy I didn't know what to expect .Because I wanted to have a natural birth .She gave me a lot of different techniques on what to expect and how to prepare for my birth. When I went into labor she came right away she kept me calm and my baby was born healthy and natural thanks to her I will highly recommend her services.

I had recently moved to the Philadelphia area in my 1st trimester  and met Iris at a maternity coalition event in my 6th month of pregnancy. Our first meeting was at a juice bar in Germantown and we kicked it off from there. She was very informative and always available to answer any of my calls. I had a preterm labor scare at 32 weeks and she came at 2 am to go to the hospital and even stayed with me for awhile after to ensure My well being. I felt like I didn’t have the support I needed at that time from my family so her support was very needed and she filled that gap effortlessly. My labor was pleasant but looonnng. She was by my side the whole time coaching and being a great mediator with the hospital and I. Her service was so impacting that I want to carry the doula torch in Miami where I currently reside. Thank you Iris your presence is needed and appreciated immensely.

Iris was our doula when I had a unmediated vaginal birth of my son at Abington Memorial Hospital Oct 2017. I was extremely thankful to have her be a avociate for me and my wishes of having a natural birth in a hospital with the scaremongering OB's pushing for a c-section.  She was an incredible source of support and gave me confidence to press on with it being my first childbirth, whereas the doctors were very negative and exacerbating the labor.  She provided us with a ton of info and resources of various topics such as expressing breast milk, baby wrapping, and nutrition just to name a few.  Our meetings were never rushes or too business-like but were very relaxed, open, honest and comfortable talks. If you are looking for a doula who is positive, supportive, reliable and 100 percent an advocate for you and how you want your birth to be I would strongly recommend having Iris as your doula. My husband and I could not have been more happier to have her and hopefully in the future when I have my second I will most definitely have her with me again
