I would highly recommend Jennifer as a postpartum doula - she was with us every day for a week after we got home from the hospital and was such an immense source of emotional and physical support. We had no family staying with us and no prior experience with a baby; I ended up having a very long labor and delivery and both my husband and I were drained at the end of it! Jennifer was so helpful in getting us back on our feet - talking to us, providing reassurance, taking care of the baby and guiding us as we learnt how to do so ourselves. We loved Jennifer's warm, friendly and positive attitude. My husband had a long list of baby related questions for Jennifer each day that she was able to help him with. For me , Jennifer provided the much needed emotional comfort that I needed to heal. It was also great to be able to have her take care of baby while we both got some rest.
We went on to schedule Jennifer for many more additional days in the weeks that followed. When the pandemic related restrictions came into place, Jennifer was very proactive about refunding the payments we had made and has continued to be there for us over the phone, providing us with resources and guidance as needed. I am so glad we made the decision to have a postpartum doula and that we had Jennifer!
We are so glad we found Jennifer for postpartum support for our newborn son. It was clear that she genuinely cares for her clients and is very reliable. She was a huge help to us as first time parents. She always found a way to soothe our baby and get him down for a nap. I really appreciate the sense of calm she brought to our house when I felt like things were getting crazy!
Jennifer is a consummate professional. She is trustworthy, responsible, hygienic, friendly, prompt, and takes direction very well. Jennifer was there when I needed help the most, and I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a post partum doula. My children and I will always remember her for her cheerful and friendly demeanor.
Jen was a lifesaver for my family and me during the "fourth trimester" after welcoming our second daughter. I had a tough time with my firstborn and experienced postpartum depression. I wanted to be proactive this time, enlisting support ahead of time. From our first meeting, I knew I could trust Jen to take good care of us. We worked with her for almost three months.
Throughout our time working with Jen, she had a remarkable knack for knowing exactly what I needed, whether that was a meal, a break or a nap. She is extremely punctual, responsible, flexible and full of energy without being at all overwhelming. She has a sixth sense with newborns and a seemingly neverending supply of patience and knowledge. Jen was also great with my three year old, helping to entertain her and provide some much-needed attention at a time she was feeling left out.
Jen truly made my postpartum period much more enjoyable and easier to manage. I highly recommend Jen to all families seeking a postpartum doula!
As my due dated approached, I couldn’t help but be intimidated by the common tropes of new motherhood: the exhaustion, the chaotic pile-up of dirty dishes and laundry, the isolation, the frantic internet-searching for practical advice, the inability to eat or shower—let alone heal. Added to this, I was expecting twins. I could not be more thankful to Jennifer for ensuring that this cliché was not my reality. What you need to know about Jennifer is that she is professional, unobtrusive, upbeat, informed, frank, non-judgmental, and tirelessly active. She ran errands, helped keep the nursery stocked and organized, cooked, washed dishes and clothes, helped me figure out breast- and bottle-feeding, and assisted in caring for the babies. Mostly importantly, she made everything logistical recede into the background, so that I could focus on recovery and bonding with my babies. Bringing home two healthy girls was my dream come true. Jennifer provided me with the rest and support I needed in order to experience that joy fully, in the moment.
