We can't speak highly enough about our experience working with Gina. During my pregnancy, Gina was responsive and reassuring. In a massage session toward the end of my pregnancy, Gina was so knowledgeable about the different systems of the body and was able to relieve a lot of discomfort that I was feeling. In our preparation calls, Gina taught me and my husband many different strategies and coping techniques that helped immensely during actual labor. Throughout labor and delivery I was looking to Gina for support, guidance, and comfort, all of which she provided endlessly. I was able to achieve my own personal goal of having an unmedicated birth, and I had such a positive birth experience, due mostly to Gina's involvement. Gina is strong, kind, empathetic, and knows about the body deeply. Her passion for helping families is so evident, and I can't imagine having to do it without her. She helped us get to breastfeeding successfully in the first hour after birth, and continued to check in with us and care for us during the postpartum time. Gina was incredible to have on our team from the day we started working with her, and even now, continues to be present in our life as one of our biggest supporters. We love Gina!!!

My husband and I had our baby last January and are so grateful we had Nathalie's support. Her experience and attitude towards birth appealed to us, and I was happy that she and my husband got on well since it was important to me that he feel fully included. I think Nathalie is very sensitive to this and made sure he felt supported in his role.

We saw a lot of different providers during prenatal check ups, so it was really nice having Nathalie as a constant presence through the pregnancy. She checked in with us often and sent helpful information and videos. As our due date approached she helped us develop our birth preferences and was able to offer insightful advice without any judgement.

Unfortunealy due to COVID restrictions we knew she would not be able to join us at the hospital. When labor got going, she came to our home and supported us for many hours - it was a long labor! I was initially nervous that I would feel self conscious laboring in front of anyone, but Nathalie has a very soothing & unobtrusive presence. Having her there was very comforting, especially when we felt unsure about how things were progressing. She helped us balance active labor and rest, guided us through exercises, and just sat with me helping me relax between contractions.

After we left for the hospital she stayed in contact with my husband via text. I wasn't sure how remote support would go, but it was actually very reassuring. An unexpected outcome of texting with her is that we now have a recap of everything that happened that day, which is so nice because it's all kind of a blur now!

Nathalie was a wonderful support during labor.  She also went above and beyond after the birth to make sure we were settled in at home and that I doing okay emotionally.  We truly felt like she shared our joy at the birth of our son, and are so glad she was a part of that incredible experience. Words can not begin to express how grateful I am for Rachel and her team at Family Ways. I was 37 weeks pregnant and researching different businesses for placenta encapsulation. Family Ways was recommended by my OBGYN as well as another doula service. I hadn't quite settled on a group I wanted to use yet but when I unexpectedly delivered my baby 3 weeks early I jumped on finding someone who could take my placenta immediately. After leaving several messages for different groups Family Ways responded rapidly and started the process for my encapsulation. Rachel provides me with so much helpful information & when I was unsure about something, she would give me my options, provide pros and cons, and tell me to think about it. I never felt pressured to do anything and always felt reassured. I also loved that they offered more than just encapsulation for the placenta. Who knew that there were so many more options with your placenta. Rachel was prompt with picking up my placenta on again such short notice and delivering it in time before my discharge. Family Ways has made my post pregnancy dreams a reality that I didn't think would happen, given my last minute delivery. Her team is professional, very trustworthy, and went above and beyond my expectations. I can't wait to have my second child to use their services again!
