Finally, it's my turn to say how grateful I am to have such an awesome doula as Kathy! ??

She was very supportive not just during my birth, but also before and after...She listened carefully to all my wishes and concerns and she did everything just right! I felt supported, secured, encouraged, believed in and loved...Both me and my husband really appreciate Kathy's being in our secret space ??

You never notice really how many tiny little things doulas are doing, but these things definitely make your experience better, and that was what Kathy did too! Water, towels, massage, touches...and just her being there made me feel relaxed ?? 

Thank you, dear Kathy, from me, my husband, my midwife and our little girl ??

My husband and I took childbirth education classes with Kathy, as well as had her as our doula. The classes were very informative and helpful to prepare us for labour. We had planned to use a birth centre. However, by the time my midwives came to check me, I had already progressed so far that I couldn’t leave my house. I kept waiting for the pain to become unbearable, but with Kathy’s support, and by practicing the pain management techniques that I learned in the childbirth education classes, I was shocked when I was told I was fully dialated and it was time to push. Without Kathy as my doula, that would not have happened. It was an incredible experience. I recommend her to every pregnant woman I know.

I had a fantastic experience with Kathy! It was my first pregnancy and delivery, and it wouldnt' have been such a positive experience without her. Kathy answered all of my husband's and I's questions and provided lots of prental education. She was also very helpful in helping us define our birth wishes. 

My delivery turned out to be fast and furious! Kathy was invaluable as a doula. She recommended different labour positions and ways for my husband to support me. Within 2 hours of my water breaking, I was having strong contractions 2-3 minutes apart and feeling the urge to push, but was in denial that I was at this point already. Kathy recommended that we call my midwife, and after a quick call we were off to the hospital! On the car ride there, she coached me how to breath so I wouldn't push. I am so thankful for her guidance, or I think I would have potentially delivered a baby at home or in the car!

After a fast delivery at the hospital, Kathy was so supportive as I received stitches and then breastfed my beautiful baby girl for the first time. She took pictures of the first moments of her life, which I was so grateful for because I didn't have any other family with us to do that! She also was very good about checking in with us postpartum and ensuring all our questions were answered. 

10/10 would recommend Kathy to anyone!

We hired Kathy for our second birth as our first birth was traumatic and left us feeling uninformed and unsupported. She helped us work through the feelings of that birth and prepared us for the next one by asking leading questions, working through different scenarios and giving us evidence-based information. My second birth went really fast so I didn’t get to experience all the amazing skills Kathy has to offer but the short time we had together was life changing. She helped my husband and I with comfort positions and was very attuned to our needs and requests. She kept me informed of what was likely to happen next which gave me so much comfort and allowed me to better relax. She provided a calm and reassuring support that I will cherish forever and I would highly recommend her to anyone having a baby.

I hired Kathy to do a private childbirth education class for my husband and I and right away we knew we wanted her to be our doula for the birth of our child! Kathy has this amazing way to make you feel cared for and supported and at ease! Her passion for being a doula shines through! My due date was around christmas time and she was there whenever I needed her! She was an amazing help for me and also my husband during that process. I would hire her again with no hesitation! Truly an amazing lady  and very professional!

Kathy is an exceptional doula! She attended the births of both of our daughters. 

With the first birth, she really assisted us in feeling mentally and emotionally prepared by engaging us in many meaningful and at times difficult conversations that allowed us to prepare for the unknown and magical experience of pregnancy, labour and birth. She provided a ton of information about birth so that we could make educated decisions about our experience. She also empowered us to ask questions and stick with our birth plan before and during labour when we weren't sure about something. Further she assisted with physical pain management by offering different techniques that could assist depending on the situation. She also taught my partner certain techniques so that he could assist me and feel empowered to do so. He never felt left out of the process. Initially he hadnt been sure about having a doula, but after the experience with Kathy he has been recommending it to everyone! 

The second birth Kathy attended was also very similar. She continued to provide support emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually in ways that were meaningful to my values and beliefs. She was able to listen closely to my needs and respond accordingly. Each birth is unique and Kathy assisted me in processing both birthing experiences before, during and after the births. 

Kathy's sweet and gentle nature combined with her knowledge and passion of birth allowed us to fully embrace this experience. We were able to stick to our birth plan of little to no medical intervention and having a natural birth, which was such an empowering experience. Overall, we would recommend Kathy to anyone as she is an incredible ally to have during this magical time of bringing our little angels earthside.

Our birth journey began more than 5 years ago when we found out we were expecting our first bundle of joy!! We wanted a doula to help with a calm presence in the room and Kathy was the most calming person to be around. She supported us before baby arrived and when we went into the hospital she joined us from the very beginning! Through 38 hours of labour, including having the water broken & oxytocin drip, Kathy was there; a calming presence for both of us! Kathy was so helpful in so many ways! She helped us change positions, go for walks and could comprehend what the Dr and nurses were saying while we concentrated on getting through contractions! When it became clear that baby was not descending and dilation was not progressing the decision to have a c-section was made. Kathy supported us each step of the way and moved our things into our maternity room while we were in surgery. She welcomed us into our room, helped Dad care for baby while Mom was in recovery and helped Mom get settled. She also helped Mom adjust baby to make breastfeeding a wonderful experience!

When we found out baby number two was on the way we called Kathy again! We ended up scheduling a c-section due to gestational diabetes but we found it helpful to have Kathy with us again to support Dad as Mom was in recovery! Kathy was such a supportive, calm person to have with us and she helped make our birth experience with baby number two a joyful experience even though we couldn't experience a vbac.

Throughout both of our birth experiences Kathy was there to support us physically, emotionally, mentally and in prayer! We have two beautiful children who arrived in this world amidst love and prayers! We will be forever grateful that Kathy became a part of our lives at a time when support was what we needed!

Kathy was a wonderful, calm presence throughout the labour and delivery process. I was also lucky enough to have my mother and husband present and she was an excellent coach for all of us, guiding my loved ones to provide the best support for me as well as coaching me along to follow my body's cues and allow the labour to take its course. Having a doula was an invaluable opportunity that led to a birthing experience that was exactly what I needed even though it wasn't what I planned. If you can afford it, a doula is so worth every penny and Kathy is one of the best, in my opinion! She's sweet and kind and caring and supports what you want, even when things may change.
