Whitney was such a life saver for my husband and I after the birth of our first child! As brand new parents, we so greatly appreciated her expertise in all things baby and postpartum healing. Whitney was there to guide us for our daughters first bath, first bottle, first time in a carrier, and more! On her first visit to our home she immediately familiarized herself with our kitchen and got right to work prepping us snacks, nourishing meals, and healing teas. I joked that she was my therapist, as she was a godsend for me to talk to about the new feelings of motherhood and navigating the changing dynamics of family relationships. Whitney was a wealth of information, resources, and even Netflix recommendations. She also was there to assist me in a few baby related art projects that I needed help with. She taught us so much about our daughter and what to expect from her and ourselves as new parents. I can't imagine what those first six weeks would have been like without her care. I highly recommend hiring Whitney as a postpartum doula!

Whitney is amazing. She is thoughtful, knowledgeable and flexible. She takes the time to understand what you want your birth experience to be like and also helps manage your expectations back to reality when needed in a nurturing and supportive way. I went from being nervous and anxious about giving birth to feeling very settled and confident in the journey ahead. I loved how Whitney listened and supported me the way I wanted to be supported as opposed to pushing a particular philosophy, mindset or set of decisions. As a first time parent, I can tell you that my birth experience was even better than the plan Whitney, my partner and I developed. I highly recommend her as a competent, compassionate and knowledgable doula.

I am so thankful I was able to have Whitney help for the birth of my son and postpartum support. I hired Whitney during my third pregnancy. I wanted to have an unmedicated birth this time around. Whitney met with me before the birth to talk about my fears, expectations, and hopes for my birth experience. She listened and made me feel really comfortable talking about my previous experiences and what I’d like to do differently this time. She talked to my husband and made him feel involved. On the day of my delivery she arrived on time (which she did for all our appointments), she helped me through the labor, and she was company for my husband. Husbands can feel so helpless during this time. They can’t to much to help or they are not sure how to help and it can be hours of just waiting. Having Whitney gave my husband someone to talk to and made him feel more confident in speaking up to help me out. I felt like the hospital staff listened to me more and Whitney would relay messages when necessary. This was helpful because I could not always speak for myself. She is amazing at taking initiative. During the labor she seemed to read my mind. She could tell when a contraction was coming, helped talk me through it or helped with positions. As a postpartum doula she continued to meet and exceed expectations. How amazing is it for a new mom to wake up to a basket of folded laundry and breakfast?! She did exactly what I always dreamed of having to help me with baby at night as well. She would take care of him all night and just bring him in to feed and then pick him back up when we were done. What a dream come true; to not have to change a diaper in the middle of the night or try to put him back to sleep at 4AM. If you are considering Whitney for your birth doula or postpartum I could not recommend her more. She has just been amazingly helpful, reliable, friendly, and does what she does with love.
