Our family has had two overwhelmingly positive experiences with Ashley as our birth doula! She helped us feel educated, empowered, and prepared for childbirth and beyond. Our care team remarked on how helpful it was for them to work with the birth plan Ashley helped us create so that everyone was aware of our wishes ahead of time. Ashley provided invaluable physical and emotional support for my partner and me throughout labor and delivery and her follow-up communication and meeting helped us feel cared for and prepared for breastfeeding our new little one. We would highly recommend Peachy Births to anyone in need of a birth doula or lactation consultant!

I greatly appreciate Ashley's support as my birth doula and lactation consultant. She had a positive impact on my birth experience with her educational sessions about the birthing process, aspects and options of labor and practical guidance during and after birth.
I wanted a doula who would provide unbiased information so I could make informed decisions. She took the time to listen and address my questions and concerns, ensuring that my partner and I felt heard, understood, and empowered in our choices. Her professionalism and calm demeanor built trust and proved invaluable for me as a first-time mom.
She was easy to communicate with and schedule via telehealth and in-person visits. Having her on my support team made me feel prepared and confident going into a hospital birth. At the hospital, she worked seamlessly with the nurses and midwife to assist me and champion me by anticipating my needs and providing hands-on support.
I definitely recommend Ashley to anyone seeking a caring and competent birth professional who will go above and beyond to make the birthing experience as positive and empowering as possible.

Ashley is heaven sent. I am due in two weeks with my 2nd little one and feel more empowered and confident in my birth and life than at any other point; not just me but my partner and 2.5 year old feel equipped and ready too. Ashley provides tools for success and addresses any concerns promptly with evidence based research. Truly a blessing and she accepts Tricare.

Ashley was great, we had a plan that she supported from the beginning and worked with us on how to achieve the plan. Birth plans don't always work, I thought they did. I was struck with some unfortunate events that led up to me not getting 90% of what I wanted for a birth plan, but Ashley was there to assist, ask the right questions that we didn't know to ask, and she made me feel like I had support when I didn't think the doctors cared about my feelings. She was a huge help for my husband and getting him through the birthing process with the knowledge and confidence that assisted our new family for the next few days in the hospital. We loved having her and would recommend her to anyone who is having a baby.

Ashley is exceptional at what she does. She is understanding, compassionate, and kind. She helped ground me in the hard moments of childbirth with a calm voice and helped me focus my mind. It was exactly what I needed: along with counter pressure techniques. I a was so glad to have her and her knowledge/ experience as a first time mom. She also helped my husband navigate how to help me more effectively. She took the most meaningful photos of my life for me as well. I cannot thank her enough for those!
Not only did she help me deliver my baby, she continued the journey with me by helping to get me through the first very difficult few weeks of breastfeeding I had. I am almost 3 months into breast feeding and it is the best thing!
I am truly appreciative of her being apart of one of the hardest, most beautiful times of my life. She helped make it beautiful.
Thank you Ashley!

We really liked having Ashley as our birth support person. It was important for our family that our doula be understanding of our situation and needs, and we found that Ashley was all of those things. She spoke up quickly when hospital staff made efforts to divert from our wishes and went above and beyond to help us stick to the plan.

Ashley is an AMAZING doula! She is very knowledgeable, resourceful, and genuine. I could not have gone through my labor without her. Even though things did not go at all according to the birth plan we created together, Ashley made sure to check with me every step of the way to make sure I felt informed and capable of making each decision. She was always very quick to respond to questions or appointment requests, and also made sure to check in with me to see how I was doing during pregnancy. I HIGHLY recommend her as a doula.

As a queer person who was new to the Kansas City area, working with Ashley helped me feel grounded and supported as we prepared for our birth. She is very knowledgeable and helped us understand and talk through all of our options without pressuring us in one direction or another. Ashley's knowledge of local providers and hospitals was very helpful, and the providers she recommended based on our needs worked out well for us. I would recommend her services to anyone but especially queer and transgender folks who so often are made invisible or treated like outsiders in the pregnancy and childbirth world. In addition to her doula services, her support with cloth diapering and lactation helped us feel more empowered in caring for our baby. We are so grateful we found her!

I contacted Ashley a little later in my pregnancy than I would have liked but she made time for us and I felt completely ready for our birth when the time came. I'm the type of person who asks a lot of questions and I was impressed at her knowledge of all my concerns. She also followed up with materials on everything I asked about so we could make informed choices. Once we had made all our choices, Ashley put them in a very organized birth plan that can be read at-a-glance. During labor, I felt supported and was so glad to have her with us. I really believe the knowledge and confidence I gained during our meetings beforehand made a difference. I wouldn't change a thing about my experience!

There aren't adequate words for how great the care and support Ashley gave me during my birth was. I had planned on a Homebirth but my when my water broke at 35 weeks, I headed to a hospital. Ashley knew my fears and worries about giving birth in a hospital setting ( a cascade of interventions, being pressured into an epidural, being denied mobility and changing positions to name a few) but thanks to the birth plan she helped me create, I was able to have a birth I was comfortable with and empowered by. She was a huge comfort to my partner as well. She helped me through physically and emotionally. She helped me advocate for myself when I needed it most. Her presence and care made every bit of difference. I am so happy she attended the birth of my son. I would choose her over and over again and recommend her to anyone needing a doula!

My partner and I are so happy that we worked with Ashley as our doula for the birth of our first child. First off, she is incredibly well organized and an excellent communicator. We met with her two times before the birth to go over our birth plan in detail and to practice some coping techniques. This gave us the chance to get to know her and feel comfortable with her and for her to become familiar with our preferences and concerns for the birth. She was an excellent resource for evidence-based information and we felt that she really listened, without judgment, to our wishes. We also could not have asked for a better advocate and support person to be with us during the birth itself. Ashley brought such a sense of preparedness and calm to the delivery room. She frequently suggested different coping techniques and positions and knew all the ways the hospital bed could move in order to keep me comfortable. She was wonderful at communicating our needs and feelings to the hospital staff and she always explained updates from the staff in ways that we could understand. Throughout this entire process and even beyond the birth of our baby, we have felt so cared for and listened to by Ashley.

Ashley was a wonderful resource during my first pregnancy. She gave detailed and personal care, learning the ins and outs of cloth diapering, and with lactation post birth. Unfortunately, due to last minute hospital changes for COVID she was unable to attend my birth, but I have no doubt she would have been an invaluable resource. She was quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had, and my journey breastfeeding was made so much easier with her knowledge and help. In addition, she made cloth diapering seem less overwhelming and more manageable. I will definitely be using her in the event of another pregnancy or for further help in any of her services.

We were glad to find Ashley late in my pregnancy. She was prompt with communications from the start. Ashley played a huge role in the success of my VBAC. During labor, she guided me through different labor positions and provided support to my partner. She paid attention to details. When noticing that I didn't urinate the entire day, she made my OB aware of the issue. We were so glad that she was by our side for the birth of our baby. Thank you Ashely!

Fromy first meeting with Ashley I knew she was going to be a great doula and support for me and my spouse, AJ. She was really thorough in explaining the different stages of delivery as this was my first baby and I had no idea what to expect or what my choices were for a birth plan. She didn't push me into what choices I made but rather presented all my options and gave me a chance to think about with AJ to create a plan that was right for us. During the pregnancy anytime I had questions she was responsive and helped answer things for us. By the time our labor and delivery finally rolled around she was amazing! She was helped manage pain, gave AJ some ideas as to how to support and continues to help me make decisions during the labor when I wanted to pivot a little from our original birth plan. I don't think anyone can be 100% prepared for childbirth but with Ashley by our side I felt like I knew what was coming next and that she'd be there to help us through the process. I can't thank her enough for helping us welcome our sweet baby into our family!

She was incredible. She even drove an hour to consult and for the birth. She made herself available for all our questions and even though the birth ended up being a little different than how we planned, it was less traumatic than it would've been had she not been there. I recommend her all the time and every time I look at my little man I think of what a loving and comfortable environment she helped to make my birth, even despite any tears or pain there may have been. ABSOLUTELY loved the detailed and customized birth plan she worked with me to create! Helped me feel more prepared and less scared.

I am so very greatful to Ashley for her help with my first pregnancy! She has a wealth of knowledge regarding all things baby. My husband and I asked her questions regarding everything from car seats, to pump recommendations, to the labor processes and beyond. She provided well balanced information regarding the pros and cons of each topic/product and allowed us to make our own decisions without judgement. And during my labor she was so grouding and knew exactly what I needed- encouragement, a gentle shoulder massage, position change suggestions, guidance for my husband. I highly recommend her!

My experience with Ashley was great! She was so helpful throughout the process of making a birth plan and helping to guide me in my decisions regarding my birth plan. She was also extremely helpful to me when it came to my labor. When I first went into labor, I called her and she was so helpful in her guidance! She advised me to call my doctor right away to let my doctor know what I was experiencing. I’m so thankful for that because I likely would not have called the doctor that early on if Ashley hadn’t suggested it. My labor progressed so quickly that when I arrived at the hospital approximately an hour after I called Ashley, I was fully dilated. Luckily, the doctor arrived in plenty of time, thanks to Ashley suggesting that I call her when I did, and I experienced an uncomplicated delivery. Unfortunately, everything happened so quickly that Ashley was not able to be in the delivery room as I wasn’t able to communicate to her quickly enough. However, Ashley was at the hospital when I delivered and came right up and spent an hour or so with us after delivery. She was so helpful, kind and understanding about us not being able to communicate with her quickly enough to get her into the delivery room before I delivered. She also had great advice for what to expect in the first few days after birth and assisted me in initiating breastfeeeding. She was also very prompt about responding to messages sent those first few days postpartum and was good about reaching out and checking in on me as well. She was also very helpful in her advice and information given at the postpartum visit. Overall, my experience with Ashley was wonderful. She’s very knowledgeable and helpful. I would highly recommend her as a doula!

Ashley was a tremendous asset to my birth. From the moment I contacted her, through labor and birth, and beyond - Ashley has been available to answer questions and to help put my mind at ease.
Prior to the labor, Ashley met with me twice. She helped me to create a birth plan, and even came with me to a doctor appointment to make sure everyone would be comfortable when I finally went into labor.
The labor itself was pretty intense. I quickly learned that the plan we created together was just an "ideal," and that things change once it's time for baby. Ashley helped me "roll" with it, while also advocating for me and my decisions, even as some of them changed. I had to be induced, and I labored in the hospital for over 24 hours. Ashley was with me the entire time - helping me understand all of the decisions I had to make and helping me stay motivated and as comfortable as possible.
Ashley took time to understand how to relate to me - she knew that I needed someone kind yet firm, and she was exactly what I needed. She is very knowledgeable about everything baby and labor - and she is non-judgemental. She's there to advocate for the decisions and wants of the mom - and she does that flawlessly!
Ashley is also very knowledgeable about breastfeeding and everything post-partum. She visited me once a couple weeks after birth, and she was able to help me with my baby's latch. She also came prepared with information about my body changes and how to deal with them.
Ashley helped me with every single aspect of my pregnancy, labor, birth, and the first few weeks of motherhood. If you're looking for someone to help support you through labor who is non-judgemental and really enjoys helping families bring babies into thie world, then Ashley is the doula for you!
