At the beginning of my pregnancy I planned on having a home birth. Yet, at 18 weeks I found out I was carrying twins. With guidance from Jess, I then opted to deliver at a birthing centre. In the end,due to possible risk factors I had to deliver at the hospital.
Jess was extremely present and adaptable throughout my entire pregnancy journey. She reassured me when I was in doubt and was committed to educating me and preparing me for my delivery. She was especially helpful with the changes that occurred now that we were dealing with a multiple pregnancy and a hospital birth.
All this to say, I had a beautiful birthing experience. I felt that I was well prepared for the birth of my babies. Like a great coach, Jess gave me the proper tools and confidence that led me to the finish line as a soon to be mama. She assisted me through all my stages of labor. When my contractions were at their peak and I was feeling beyond overwhelmed she knew exactly how to smooth me. She used breathing techniques and imagery that really kept me present and at peace. She was also a strong force during my pushing phase. She literally held my hand through it all and for that I am forever grateful.
I will most definitely work with her again. I recommend her to any woman looking for a serene, educational, safe and loving pregnancy/ birth experience.
