I do not know where to begin when it comes to the amazing experience my fiancé and I had with Jessica. To begin with, she helped me through one of the most painful pregnancies, she had endless amounts of information and suggestions that she would give me within minutes of receiving a message. She was always available to me for all my needs and concerns. In the beginning of my pregnancy I experienced a hemorrhage that left me on bed rest, the doctors and nurses didn't explain to much about it but Jessica was able to translate all the confusion for me and help me to understand what I was going through and what to expect.
Now for the fun part, this was my fifth child, so needless to say there came a time when I was ready to have this little girl. Jess was able to help me not only get ready for little ones arrival but help kick start labor in the most calm, comfortable way. When contractions began she had all the remedies for getting through them. When it was time to head to the hospital Jessica beat us there, got me checked in and talked me through the intense contractions. My labor went rather quickly and if we are being honest I was not wanting and unmedicated birth, but having jessica talk me through what I thought was impossible will forever be something  am beyond grateful for. She kept me calm, and encouraged every bit of my experience from pushing to breathing through a contraction. With Jess's help and encouragement my fiancé and I welcomed our daughter into this world through an unmedicated and quick delivery! After having this sweet baby I suffered from thrush and Jessica came to the rescue yet again! Oh did I mention the after birth care she gave me? I can not say enough amazing things about this woman, anyone would be blessed to have this woman beside them during this time in life. If the time comes that I have another child I will undoubtedly be seeking Jessica's services again!

Jessica was amazing! So sweet, calm, and knowledgeable! I really appreciated her and how available she was to my once I started labor, and through the whole process!

"Everyone deserves a doula" was one of the first things that Jessica told us. And she certainly lives by that creed.

Jessica was a rock to us during our birthing journey and experience. She took us on when we were at 38 weeks, and immediately offered us knowledge and advice when we were just interviewing her on the phone. When we had our inital in-person meeting, she helped us with Rebozo, essential oil blends, and quickly got started with making a labor and delivery plan.

When the big day came, Jessica came fully prepared, and went so far above and beyond what I would expect from a doula, I cannot imagine working with anyone other than her. She set up tealights, string lights, LED candles, and placards with words of affirmation and motivation to make our birthing area a relaxing and safe space. She helped Kellie through breathing techniques, acupressure, and aromatherapy. She was fully supportive of our plan and intention to go through with a fully natural and unmedicated birth, and when things changed and Kellie was induced, she supported us through the change of plans with empowering support, information, and encouragement. When contractions became extremely fast, intense, and overwhelming, Kellie wanted an epidual and felt incredibly bad about it, like she had failed. Jessica was there for her, reminding her that when labor turns to suffering, something needs to change, and Kellie had not failed because she had met her goal of tub laboring without medication. Throughout the entire labor and delivery, she seemed to intuitively know what my wife needed, before she even had to ask for it. She also helped by keeping friends and family updated with what stage Kellie was at during labor while still supporting Kellie.

If I had a choice of any Doula in the world, I would pick Jessica again without hesitation. She will always hold a special place in our hearts for her kindness and support through one of the most important days in our lives.

I can't say enough about Jessica Jacobus' work. She is the best doula we could have imagined having through this beautiful process. She does it because she loves it and it shines through. She gave us tons of tools to prepare for the big day. Selflessly let us use her spinning babies dvd, her hypnobirthing CDs, left us with her special "labor oils", and gave us numerous handouts to help my husband when labor started. I had such a fast labor (4.5 hours, first baby) and I 100% accredit that to how comfortable I was in my home, the fact that she payed attention to the position of our baby (using the Rebozo technique), reading my affirations, telling me what an amazing job I was doing, and coaching me when pushing started (I give her all the credit for not tearing, too!). I would recommend Jess to every one of the pregnant mamas out there. She has stayed in touch with our family and it has been over a month since my daughter has been born. I aboslutely love her and everything she is about!

Jessica was a tremendous help throughout my pregancny! I am a first time mom and deal with anxiety and depression. My fiancé and I had no idea what to expect during my pregnancy and any question I ever had Jessica was there to help walk us through it. By the time I had my daughter I knew exactly what was going to happen and didn’t have any surprises throughout my entire experience. I think everyone should use Doula’s during their pregnancy but especially those who have anxiety. I would recommend Jessica to anyone that came to me asking for advice because she truly puts all of her time and effort into her clients and you can tell her whole heart is devoted to you and your baby.

Jess was the most amazing doula and I'm so glad that she was a part of our birth. We had a home birth and Jess was there every step of the way. My water had broken early in the morning and I texted Jess to let her know. She kept checking in with me throughout the day and decided to come over that evening. I started having regular contractions and she helped my husband and me decide when to call our midwives. My labor slowed down and my midwives decided it wasn't beneficial for them to stay. I felt defeated at that point and Jess was so good at being there for me emotionally. She gave me the positive encouragement that I needed. We asked her if she wanted to go home since it could be a lot longer until the birth. She said she wanted to stay to be there for me. Jess ended up using a few different techniques to get my labor going again. She supported me through every contraction. She knew exactly what I needed without me having to ask for it. She ended up being at our house for 27 hours. My husband and I both have said we wouldn't have been able to do it without her. She was an essential part in helping me achieve my dream of a natural home birth.

Jessica was an important part of my whole birthing experience.  I was able to get you know her at 34 weeks pregnant with twin girls,  she helped me answer questions about all the possibilities of birthing twins,  natural or c-section. I gained so much confidence that I was excited to work with her for a vaginal birth.  The twins came via c section at 37 weeks and having Jess there before and after the surgery made a huge difference because the father went down with babies to NICU. She was there asking questions about my babies when I couldn't,  and later after she was able to share with me my firsts as a mom with me. Jessica's support went beyond the hospital, she helped several times before surgery to comfort me,  and support my wishes to have a vaginal birth by facilitating swimming, and exercises to attempt to flip baby A from her breeche position. Jess also made visits after the babies were born to check and continue supporting me post partom. I'm so glad I chose to use s doula for my c section. I wouldn't change anything about my experience with birthing the twins!

Jess was Amazing from the very begining. What stuck out most to My Wife and I, was her  undevided attention and her knowledge. Unfrotunatly are babys head got stuck during the labor but Jess never stoped brainstorming for different Labor positions. Even after delivery she made sure we were taking care of by getting us food at the Hospital and then coming by the house 4 days after the birth to help console and feed us yummy snacks. This was are first birthing experience and we didnt know what to do, or what to expect. Jess is a calm and nurturing person and she realy took Alot of stress off us.
