My partner and I had the pleasure of having Sally at our birthing day. From the call at 2am till the entrance of our wonderful daughter at 2am the next day, Sally was excellent support. We couldn’t have done it without her. Without her advice, actions and presence, our birth story would have been much different. We can’t thank her enough.
We also went to Rachel’s breastfeeding class and learned so much about this difficult activity. And when the going got tough Rachel was there with her experience, advice and expertise to coach us through our issues and triumph through to victory.
We can not thank these amazing powerful women enough. Without them, who knows where we would have ended up.

Rachel was so great, supportive and knowledgeable!! Even though this was my third baby I found having a doula even more helpful. As birth is something that can't be planned having someone to look after either me or my children no matter what was a huge stress relief. My husband can only be in one place at a time. So having Rachel to be in the other place was essential for us as we don't have any family locally. Rachel's post partum care was invaluable. Making sure baby and I were doing well as well as supporting early breastfeeding success. My daughter had a fairly terrible latch but Rachel showed me how to fix it multiple times and helped us overcome any soreness issues. As she is professionally trained to teach and support breastfeeding her help was exceptional. I really can't recommend her enough. Even if this isn't your first birth a good doula's support is anything you need it to be. Thank you Rachel

Sally and Rachel make such an amazing doula team. Both of them were with us every step of the way. I learned so much during our monthly meetings, and I felt really supported and prepared for the birth. Sally was absolutely phenomenal at my hospital birth and in the days leading up to it. She came and gave me all sorts of help through the contractions. She worked really well with my family and doctor.

After the birth of our baby boy, both Rachel and Sally were great with following up and Rachel was so helpful with the breastfeeding. I wholeheartedly recommend their services!

Our experience with Rachel and Sally was just plain amazing!
From the first social to the postpartum follow ups it was just perfect.
The pre-birth sessions were fun and informative. They helped us visualize and decide what we really wanted for our first birth experience.
The follow ups texts and calls closer to the birth were helpful and reassuring.
The help during birth was beyond our expectations! My partner told me about 2 hours in “ Now I really get why we got a Doula!”
The constant support was basically solid gold:)
I would not change a thing on how everything unravelled. I was very Thankful to have a plan.
I recommend Sally and Rachel’s service to everyone who are expecting.
Thank You so much to Rachel and Sally for this wonderful experience!

Sally worked with my family after our baby was here to provide post partum ( after baby) care. I had unforeseen complications which made my transition into motherhood more complicated than I had imagined and without Sally's attentive care, I would have been more likely to potentially experience post partum depression or anxiety. Sally honoured the way we had chosen as a family to parent our baby and when we were not sure, always presented options for suggestion. Sally also provided structure for our family that helped us to learn our little ones rhythms and understand what best suited him. She supported me as mom, but also our household and baby. Sally is also a master baby whisperer and seemed to be able to patiently and effectively calm our fussy babe, which was worth its weight in gold those first few months getting back on my feet. We slowly transitioned out of her care and felt sturdier on our feet when we did. I cannot say enough about the benefit Sally provided us during those critical first few months when mom was healing and the family was growing. ??

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of working with Rachel as we prepared ourselves to welcome our third child into our family. We met numerous times through the pregnancy...casual meetings to get to know each other, and closer to the due month, some more focused sessions on labour and birth. These were very useful as although it was our third child, it was great to have a refresher on all the different scenarios. Outside of these meetings, Rachel was always available to talk or give us information.
When our baby was ready to be born, it didn't start exactly as planned :) and Rachel helped us make informed choices throughout the labour which in turn helped us have an amazing birth. Her calm presence at the birth was fantastic and reassuring for both myself and my husband.
I always recommend a doula to anyone I know who becomes pregnant, whether it's their first child, or third, and I would absolutely recommend Rachel as a doula to anyone. She also has great breastfeeding knowledge and her postpartum check ins since having the baby have been very welcome as I embark on the journey of being a mama to three.
Thank you for everything, Rachel!

I am a perinatal educator and a former birth doula, and I still hired Rachel to help guide and support us through 2 births.  She was professional, knowledgable and very funny! She met for prenatals, provided lots of phone support, provided acupuncture and great labor support.  She is an expert carpet cleaner and poop scooper plus her postpartum meal was awesome.  I loved her so much that I hired her 2x.

Having Rachel to talk to before, during and after birth was invaluable. Both me and my partner felt prepared for the difficult decisions that came up on the day due to having gone through things that can occur ahead of time. We were also able to take part of Rachel's lengthy experience when unforseen circumstances came up. And having talked through breastfeeding before the birth left me feeling secure and in the know when that little baby was presented to me. I'm convinced my breastfeeding went so smoothly largely in part to Rachel's help. My partner found her to be an invaluable resource during the long birthing process we went through. We can't say enough good things about Rachel and our experience in working with her.

We decided to hire a doula to assist with a VBAC for the birth of our second child. I believe she was able to provide invaluable assistance and information prior to and during the birth which enabled me to deliver vaginally.

I didn't feel that my first cesaerean was particularly traumatic, however when I started to discuss a VBAC with Rachel, my husband and my GP, I realized that I did not want to have an unnecessary surgery if my pregnancy went smoothly.  I felt that Rachel helped to provide us with valid information so that we could make informed decisions about birthing preferences, and her presence at the birth helped me to maintain confidence in our decisions.  She encouraged the use of hypnobirthing audio recordings prenatally and during labour, which helped me to relax.  My husband and I were able to focus on what was important to us, and stay at home longer during early labour. There were a number of circumstances that may have led to a repeat csection without the guidance of an experienced doula.

I probably would not have hired a doula had I not ran into Rachel serendipitously during my second trimester, and had her follow up and encourage a consultation. I'm so glad she did!
