Stephanie's passion for what she does was evident in all of our interactions. She is a great listener, kind, knowledgeable, and puts you at ease. She was supportive of my desires, but also helps you see other perspectives without being pushy. I would recommend Stephanie if you are in search of a doula in the metro-Atlanta area.
Stephanie was our doula for our first baby this past January. Working with her was wonderful and I can't imagine having gone through childbirth without her support. From our first meeting at a coffee shop through the birth itself, she was warm but professional, knowledgeable, supportive, and good at balancing listening to us with offering guidance based on our desires. In the hospital, her upbeat, friendly personality meant she got along with our care providers and helped keep the mood positive even when we were faced with unexpected challenges, while providing strong support for ensuring we were able to have our ideal birth as much as possible. Stephanie was a huge help once we were home with our son, offering postpartum hours to help with anything we needed. From the very beginning she became an essential part of our birth team and played such an important role in helping us to welcome our son. Stephanie is a lovely person and talented doula and I highly recommend having her help you achieve your ideal birth!
Stephanie helped us welcome our daughter in Jan 2020. I knew she was the perfect match upon our first phone conversation. Stephanie has great energy and is an experienced doula. She actively listened to our concerns and goals then supplied us with tools and information to prepare. My partner was initially anxious to be a part of the birth, but with her support he was confidently able to participate for the duration and even cut the cord! Also, with Stephanie’s training in hypnobabies, I was able to have the unmedicated birth I desired. She used hypnobabies language and helped me stay focused on my tracks. Most importantly, she helped me feel safe, strong and confident. She was also a great asset postpartum, which allowed me to have alone time and perform self care. Stephanie was an integral partner on our birth team. We highly recommend Stephanie and her services to anyone expecting!
I contacted Stephanie when I was 36 weeks pregnant and looking for a Doula to provide support for myself and my husband during the upcoming birth of our second child and my desire to have a VBAC. Stephanie quickly got in touch with me for an introductory phone call and combined our prenatal appointments into one visit during my 38th week. She took detailed notes about what I wanted in my birth plan and put my desires down in writing in a way that I had not been able to for myself which was much appreciated, especially at the hospital with my providers (she provided all the information to them while I was in the midst of transitioning in labor when we arrived at the hospital!).
Stephanie is confident in the support she provides to mothers and birth partners and empowered me to make and vocalize my choices during the delivery process with my providers and provided support to my husband as well. On the day that I went into labor, she was available and in communication consistently. She labored with us at the house for a few hours and then went with us to the hospital - without her support in the L&D process I would not have had as clear of an understanding of what actions were being taken or what my options were. At 3:28am on 122 I successfully delivered, via VBAC, a beautiful little girl with a full head of hair and I absolutely was astounded that she arrived without surgery given that many elements of my delivery were similar to my first up until the very end.
Stephanie was an incredible asset in my birth process and I am thankful for her support, advocacy and overall care for my birth journey. I highly recommend her and am very thankful that she was a part of my birth team!!!
Wow. I'm not even sure where to start. I was able to achieve my very first vaginal birth after having TWO c-sections. I couldn't have done it without Stephanie. From the beginning I instantly felt a connection with her and I told her I don't need to meet with any more doulas, I'm going with you! I wouldn't have done it without her. I'm so ready for the next pregnancy just so I can be with her. Choose her. You will NOT regret it.
This is our first baby so we didn't know how much help a doula would be. Stephanie Jameson blew us away and can't imagine having gone through the labor without her. Not knowing how long the actual labor would be, she was just as helpful the first hour as the 22nd hour. My husband felt relieved he had the extra support. For postnatal she was always available, informative and extremely helpful. We highly recommend Stephanie-if we have more children we will definitely be calling her!
During my pregnancy I knew I wanted a doula however had no connection to a doula or refferral from anyone I trusted.
At 34 weeks we started taking a hypnobirthing class that was a 5 week session. It was there that we got to know the instructor well and really connected with her. Stephanie came highly recommended and well trusted by our instructor, also had taken the same hypnobirthing classes we had!
It was easy to connect with Stephanie and arrange time to discuss my birth plan and goals. Stephanie was amazingly flexible considering we connected at the end of my third trimester days before my due date.
Stephanie took time and was very detailed reviewing my birth plan and making sure she understood our desires. The morning I went into labor Stephanie was easy to get in touch with and so calm. Not having a lot of time to get to know each other there was a lot of trust that we both gave each other right off the bat. Stephanie was such a strong support for me, as a first time mom and my husband during labor, delivery and recovery. I honestly do not know how we would of navigated my goal to labor at home and have a successful water birth without her. Stephanie is very knowledgeable and experienced, she was amazingly proactive with everything from making sure I had water to learning what helped my most through contractions. She helped coach my husband on what to do real time and really was actively involved the entire time.
Evie Rose came quietly and fairly fast on July 22nd after only 10 hrs of labor. Stephanie never leaving my side, was able to deliver her out of the water, when the nurse and team had briefly stepped out of the room.
From a nurse, first time mom, supporter of natural birth and water birth, I would without a doubt recommend Stephanie’s Doula support.
We decided to get a doula based on suggestions from friends that had recently given birth. I was planning on coaching my wife through the whole thing, but we thought it couldn’t hurt to have a backup. Someone who could spell me if I needed a break. Someone who had done this before! We were very prepared. We took classes. We did our exercises. We practiced everything, many many times. Things rarely go as planned, and they sure went in a different direction than expected. One of our mantras was, “I will greet any change in our birthing plan with calm.” Calm can only get you so far, but a good doula can take you the rest of the way. We were truly fortunate to have Stephanie Jameson there with us. It is hard to put into words just how invaluable her contribution was. Her experience, knowledge and all-around positivity guided us and kept us optimistic. We had a very long labor and it was very hard to watch my wife in such discomfort. Stephanie was there, gently encouraging Barbara, helping with different positions and giving me much needed breaks. Frankly, emotional support is not something hospitals provide. She helped us through every moment, massaging, communicating, comforting. Her stamina was impressive. I really don’t know how we would have done it without her. I highly recommend Stephanie for your birthing experience. She is a truly amazing doula, a wonderful human being, and I now consider her a friend.

If you, your partner, or someone you care about is having a baby in Metro Atlanta any time in the future, YOU NEED THIS WOMAN: Stephanie Jameson with @Lake City Doula Services.
I knew we would love her from the first time we spoke on the phone and then our first face to face meeting lasted longer than intended as she got to know it's beyond just our birth preferences.
She was supposed to be our doula. But I believe she was more to us than any regular doula. It would be an understatement to say she is passionate about helping people achieve a beautiful childbirth. It is her calling and she is a goddess!!
The labor was 45 hours. Yes, that is correct. Labor. Was. 45. Hours. For real.
Stephanie kept my husband and I sane, happy, focused, and relaxed. She was a great coach through the tough moments. She took care of me so my husband could just get a break for five minutes. She sang with us in the easier hours. She took pictures of really special moments. She helped us make decisions and remembered our preferences. She kept us both as comfortable as possible. She made sure we ate and drank and even slept.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Stephanie and what she was for us. And she shared in the most amazing moment of our lives. She got to meet our daughter on her birth day and I'm sure that's why she does it.
Even our past partum visit was more than expected. She brought me tea, helped with nursing positions, told me about ways to get my strength and energy back, and left us with a sense that we were amazing new parents. That positivity goes a long way.
We can't recommend her enough!!
Stephanie was amazing. She was always available to answer my questions and to offer her support. You could feel that she is very passionate about her job which makes it easy to pick her as my Doula. I would highly recommend Stephanie to everyone looking for a wonderful support person during birth
I wanted to have an all natural birth and I honestly don't think I would have been able to do it with out Stephanie. As soon as I called her she came to the hospital right away and was right there the whole time helping me through every contraction. She used multiple different comfort measures, reminded me how to breath, kept on encouraging me and even showed my husband how to help me too. Even the nurses commented on how awesome she was.
I was nervous about having a natural birth when I found out I was pregnant, but knew it was 100% what I wanted and that a doula could help. I was very happy when I met with Stephanie. She made me feel comfortable and kept in contact with me through each stage of pregnancy. She helped me recognize my bodies signals and how to deal with certain pregnancy related pains. When it came down to delivery she got to the hospital quickly and was able to support me through each contraction while my partner got a little rest. She helped me to have my ideal birth that otherwise would not have been possible. I feel like she went above and beyond.
My family and I are so thankful for Stephanie. I didn't know that having a doula would be so helpful.
She was always checking on me before I went to labor. The day I went into labor I woke her up very early and she got to the hospital where I wanted her to meet me very soon.
Because I was not dilated enough she was motivating me to do things to help dilate, she was exercising with me. Then when I was having contractions she was very important to me at the moment, she was teaching my husband how he could help me when the pressure waves would come. When I was having back pain she was massaging my back constantly for a long time. When I was giving birth she was holding my leg while my husband was holding the other one; and she was giving me word of support all the time.
Now I have a special spot in my heart for Stephanie.
Thank you for everything.
Stephanie's passion for what she does is evident in her nurturing approach. Caring is not just a part of her profession, it's who she is. She is very attentive to your needs. Stephanie's lively, upbeat personality brightens up any room. It was a joy to have her assist with my postpartum care, especially as a new Mom! I highly recommend Lake City Doula Services to anyone!
It was very comforting to have Stephanie assisting my wife and I with our postpartum needs. She taught us some newborn, baby care methods that have helped me feel more confident as a first time Father. - Josh C.
