Amy is amazing and we were so glad to have her support before, during, and after the birth of our son. As first time parents we had a lot of questions, and Amy was happy to answer every one of them. Her wealth of knowledge from experience as a doula and mom is so valuable. She helped us with our birth plan and teaching my husband how to support me, navigate laboring at home and in the hospital, and checking in after birth multiple times to see how me and my son were doing.

While I had planned for a natural labor, it ended up being extremely long and with complications, and Amy was there for us every step of the way. I was initially worried to hire a doula that might judge me if I chose to have an epidural or other interventions that weren’t seen as “natural”- Amy is the sweetest, calming, most non-judgmental doula that wants to help make your birth whatever you have envisioned, while teaching you to be flexible because not everything goes exactly as planned with birth and babies. Thank you Amy!

We love Amy! As a FTM, Amy was extremely knowledgeable and provided my husband and I endless resources for all things baby, birth, and postpartum. We met to discuss all things childbirth and develop a relationship before the big day. She created a safe, calm, and relaxing environment while at the hospital and was the biggest help to my husband. She was with us each step of the way & provided much needed support before, during, and after pregnancy.

My husband and I loved working with Amy. From our very first interactions she thoroughly answered all our questions and made herself available to us. Her calm, easy-going demeanor as well as knowledge of and trust in the natural birth process were reassuring to me throughout my pregnancy and during labor and delivery. It was so, so helpful to have someone knowledgeable who I could text or call throughout my long labor. Amy even came to my house a couple of times during early labor to offer some resources and support to encourage labor. Amy provided exactly what I was looking for in a doula - someone who knew the birth process, could cheer me on, support my husband as he supported me, and provided practical support through labor and delivery. My labor and delivery experience would have looked so different without Amy and I'm so grateful that she was a part of it!

Amy is the absolute best!! I can't say enough good things to describe how much her help meant to me. Her energy is so calming, and meeting her was like we've known each other forever. During our first call, she answered all of my questions and made me feel so at ease. This was my first time hiring a doula, so I didn't know what to expect, but I can't recommend her enough! We then met two times before my labor to discuss my birth plan. She even sent me information on cloth diapering after I said I was interested in trying that this time. She goes above and beyond in all areas. She texted me throughout my pregnancy checking in with me. I always felt well cared for. She was also always early and waiting on me for our meetings and when it was time for my labor. During labor, her presence was everything I didn't know I needed. She truly is there to mother the mother. She walked the hall with me, held my snacks, filled up my water, and so much more. She reminded me that it was my labor, and I could labor how I wanted. She brought a comb with her to run my fingers over to distract from the contractions. I loved that. She really has so many tips and tricks. And on top of all that, she took the most beautiful videos and photos of the birth that I will cherish forever. Honestly, I don't know how she's always in the right spot at the right time. She's ten steps ahead of anything you think you could need or want. I plan on having more children and when I do I know who will be my first call! Thank you for everything, Amy!!

I knew I wanted to hire a doula for my second birth to help me go unmediated. My friend used Amy for her daughters birth and referred her to me. Amy was so kind to do a little FaceTime interview to help me decide if we “clicked” or not. I am one for playing the 20 questions game when it comes to anything really. She was so kind to answer anything and everything I asked her. Her calm manner and down to earth personality made me instantly feel like I knew her my whole life. Hired! After that we met twice and each meeting was fun, exciting and easy going as we talked through my birth plan. She was so supportive with any decision I made regarding my birth. Amy would check in with me via text and ask how things were going leading up to my birth. She also sent me some information on things we had talked about to help me further my education on the matter. Finally the day had come and my labor came on very intense and fast! Amy met us at the hospital right after we got there and applied the most lifesaving counter pressure to help me get through my contractions. I arrived at the hospital at 3:45am and had my little man at 4:15am. During that time I don’t think I could have been more happy that Amy was right there by my or my husbands side. Her soft reassuring voice telling me “You can do this. Just Breathe” made me stay focused. After my sons arrival. She knew when to step away to give me and my husband some time and when to come back and see how we were doing. Later that day she sent me some photos and a video she took of my birth. LOVED that perk! At our postpartum meeting it felt like old friends visiting and going over such an amazing experience. As you can see I’m one for many words and could go on forever but I’ll reign this in. Bottom line, Amy was beyond wonderful and I highly recommend her for your birthing experience.

I loved working with Amy! She is very open and down to Earth. My water broke early in the morning and she spent whole day with me bless her heart. Even when my labor didnt progress and I had to go to the hospital she stayed with me and lent me her support. She was patient, calm, and extremely helpful through the whole process! Thanks Amy!

Amy is absolutely lovely! She met with us before our daughter was born and made us feel so heard and cared for. After only a few minutes we knew she was the perfect fit for us! She was such a support during labor to my husband and I and really helped us stay focused and calm. She had lots of really helpful positions and tips to try during labor and was so gentle with us.
When she came to visit after our baby was born it was like visiting with an old friend. I hope she can be our doula again someday!

We truly can’t say enough great things about Amy! She came over a couple times before delivery day and completely set my husband at ease with all of his questions and concerns. She helped me understand so much more about the birthing process that when it came to delivery day we were more than prepared. She even took photos and videos of the birth so we will have those precious memories forever! She was a joy to work with and would recommend her to everyone!

My husband and I absolutely loved Amy!! I would not have been able to get through those 22hrs at the birth center without her. She provided intense, wall bracing, lower back counter pressure...every. single. contraction. She has incredible stamina and strength!!! We couldn't recommend Amy enough! She helped my husband know when it was okay to nap and when he needed a coffee boost! She managed to stay awake all night long while still providing physical labor for myself. If you can't tell by now...I was and still am BEYOND impressed with Amy. OH...and she also took great pictures and videoed baby entering this world?? Which I am SO thankful for! Amy has such a peaceful, soft, calming and sweet voice... which is important!! She was supportive not only physically, but also emotionally. You will be so greatful to have Amy along side you during this amazing experience! Thanks again, Amy!!!!!

This review is long overdue as we just had our third baby with Amy as our Doula. My wife and I cannot say enough good things about her. Amy has an incredible ability to anticipate needs and respond appropriately, and she supports both the birthing mother and any other support partners (like myself) present at the birth. She made great suggestions to me to not only give me a sense of purpose but also genuinely make my presence in the room meaningful and helpful to my wife. She instinctively knew when to step out of the room to give me and my wife a few minutes together, but was never far away and always stepped back in right when we needed her.

Amy has a ton of knowledge about birthing techniques and knew when to suggest changes in each labor, she's run out and picked food up for us on occasion (and always offers), and has a bag with her with some of the essential comfort items you might forget in your own baby go-bag. One other thing I want to mention is that all of the staff at the Birth Center (Midwives & nurses) we've had our babies at love her too (and some of those faces have changed over the years, but they have all loved having her at all our births and speak highly of her). She never got in the way even when it got busy and knew just what to hand them and what to collect and move out of the way. She's truly awesome and has a real gift - if you choose her you'll love her. Highly highly recommend. -Micah & Bethany

We hired Amy to be our doula for the birth of our first child. We had planned to have a natural birth, laboring mostly at home and then delivering at the hospital. Amy was extremely helpful in both preparing for the birth (she has a wealth of knowledge and resources that we used as we created our birth plan) and actually going through the birth. Our birth turned out to be much more complicated than we expected. Labor lasted for 40 hours and ended with a C-Section. It is hard to describe how helpful having Amy there was. She helped us navigate all the unexpected complications and helped us understand when interventions were necessary. She was also an incredible source of encouragement for both me and my wife as we birthed. Having to dramatically deviate from your birth plan is really hard and Amy helped us process that in the moment and afterwards. If you're considering a doula, I would highly recommend Amy. She was excellent in everything she did. If the Lord gives us more children, we plan to use Amy again as our doula.

When we were unexpectedly unable to use our care provider at 37 weeks, Amy was our constant person in all of the unknowns. She was always positive and reassuring as she helped set my mind at ease through all of the chaos, and I must have said "I'm so happy we have Amy" 100 times in the last few weeks.

During labor Amy provided physical support for each contraction and constant validation for our decisions which gave my husband and I confidence to get through the 26 hours of labor. We could not have done it without Amy and we are so thankful for her help in bringing our daughter into the world!

We used Amy as a postpartum night nurse for a few weeks after the birth of our third child. I would hands down recommend her to anyone considering using a doula or night nurse! She was incredibly reliable and willing to help out in any way. Amy made us all feel very comfortable (including our other children) and was so warm and friendly. I felt confident that our baby was getting great care and I was able to get much-needed rest in those tough first weeks.

Amy was a night nurse for my third child, and she was awesome. Timely, trustworthy, loving and knowledgeable. My son had a rough first few weeks with sleeping due to some stomach issues, and he is a LOUD cryer :-)....so to ensure that both my husband and I got adequate sleep and were not awakened by him at night, Amy would sit in my playroom (I didn't have adult seating) and calm my little man throughout the night as needed. I mention that bc she went above an beyond what was expected to both ensure a good nights rest and calm my son who was bothered by gas for hours at a time. I would recommend Amy to any mom that is looking for someone to care for you little one. If I had another baby (which I'm not ha) I would most certainly give her a call again!

Aside from being a generally awesome human, Amy was the best thing that happened to me in childbirth (other than having a baby of course). I really don't feel like I could have had this baby without her.... her instinct to what I needed, such as massage or pressure, made it easier for me to focus on getting through each contraction. As loving and supportive as my boyfriend is, Amy provided the physical and emotional support that really helped me through each moment; yet, she allowed my partner to be there exactly as I needed him to be as well. She always had my water or sherbert ready, brought me bagels & cream cheese whenever I asked, had dry, warm blankets when I needed them, and supported me in everything little thing I asked for - I truly felt pampered during this experience. I intended to do an unmedicated birth, but when things weren't moving along and my midwife suggested pitocin, and when I decided I wanted an epidural, she supported me in making the best decision for me and my baby, which was especially important as I was being hard on myself for wanting the epidural (I really wanted to be all natural). She also somehow managed to take a bunch of beautiful pictures without me knowing the entire time. I can't say enough amazing things about Amy - if you're at all considering her to be your doula, CHOOSE HER!!!!!

My birth experience would not have been as great without Amy. She was professional, educated, prepared, dedicated, and caring. She really helped to prepare us for the birthing experience. She also helped to bring such a calming atmosphere to the labor room, helped to provide my husband and I support, and helped me through the contraction pains in multiple ways. I highly recommend her as a doula and I had such a great experience with her by my side during labor!
