Client Testimonials for Morgan McMahon

Post a testimonial for Morgan McMahon

My husband and I welcomed our first child into the world on May 16, 2018. Morgan was referred to us by a friend. We instantely found ourselves comfortable with her upon our first meeting. She was approachable, knowledgeable, resourceful, and thorough. The ultimate deciding factor was how passionate she is about the stages of pregnancy and midwifery. We are very thankful we had Morgan with us during our daughter's labor and delivery. She always made sure to incorporate my husband in everything too, which was important to us. Morgan continuously boosted my confidence throughout the entire process. She supported my birth plan to try for a natural vaginal birth with immediate skin to skin and delayed cord clamping. All of which I achieved! She helped keep me and my husband calm and continuously reminded me to breath! I can still here her voice saying "Take deep cleansing breaths." Whenever the pain began to be on the cusp of unbearable she would ask me "to come back to her." I can't explain it, but something about her voice distracted me from getting lost in the pain. She cheered me on and helped me relax as much as I could. I was only in labor for about 8 hours and technically only in active labor for 3 hours. After my baby girl was born she stayed after and helped me with breast feeding and provided even more assistance during my post partum home visit. During my home visit she provided me with much needed reassurance that I was doing a great job. Overall, I would highly recommend Morgan to others seeking a doula. I can't imagine what my experience would have been like if she was not present. If I have more children in the future I hope she will be available to assist in their deliveries as well.
