My experience with Doula Love was truly incredible. From the moment I chose my doula, we maintained consistent communication. She was always responsive and made sure to keep me informed. During my labor, Ashlee, my doula, created a safe and comfortable environment for me. She ensured that I had everything I needed to feel at ease and effectively advocated for my needs with the nurses and doctors, helping me avoid any feelings of pressure or overwhelm. Ashlee was an amazing support system during labor, making me feel secure in what could have been a frightening time. Her encouragement made me feel strong and uplifted the atmosphere in the room. It was incredibly helpful when she timed my pushes; it made a significant difference. I wholeheartedly recommend Ashlee and would not hesitate to hire her again for future pregnancies. I truly believe that without her support, I wouldn’t have felt as empowered as she helped me to be. I will miss collaborating with her and cherished every moment of my experience.

When we started the process of searching for a doula, we were still on the fence about whether or not it was the right path for us. We interviewed several people from different agencies and a few independent doulas. Once we met and interviewed Beth Kennedy, our minds were made up! We could not have asked for a better match! Not only did she provide us with an abundance of experience and knowledge butt we shared a real connection. It felt like she had known us for years! She was a wonderful listener and really put us at ease with any concerns we had going into the birth. Throughout the entire birthing process she was there in every capacity we needed her. We still feel supported even after coming home! Beth is a truly dedicated and exceptional doula. The classes we took through doula love were also very thorough and helpful! As a first-time mom of a more mature age, I really appreciated having a woman near my age with experience in mature pregnancies. Thank you Doula Love! And thank you, Beth!

Working with Doula Love was great. We were matched with two doulas based on information we provided on an intake form and had the chance to interview them both before hiring. Both were great matches, and we looked the type of energy one had a bit more than the other, AshLee Lezama. She was a breath of fresh air. She had the perfect attitude and energy for us, and made me feel confident in preparation for and during my birth. She was knowledgeable and calm, and exactly what we needed throughout the whole experience. I had a precipitous labor, and not only was she at the hospital as we arrived based on her intuition from how our text communications were going, but she was vital in providing quick information and much needed counter pressure to help me cope until other pain management options were available. Great experience with her help, thank you so much!

Katie Gould from Doula Love was amazing. I so appreciated her calming and comforting presence but also her directness in guiding me through the different phases of the birth process. It is hard to concentrate and focus with everything going on and it gave me such peace of mind to have Katie there. I took all the classes and read all the books but I knew it would be so helpful to have someone whose done this before to help my husband and I through the birth journey. I don't think anyone can fully prepare for what a first delivery is like and I can't imagine doing it without a doula.

We had the absolute BEST doula Tisha! She was kind, funny, open and honest, and warm. She was so supportive of our birth plan, decisions we had to make when things didn’t go according to plan, and our goals for postpartum. She always gave helpful tips and was very good at explaining what to expect as situations arose. We had great experiences from the pre-birth meetings to the hospital. Tisha came to the hospital multiple times to check in and help with contractions and talking through decisions we had to make. Unfortunately my birth did not go as planned (completely out of everyone’s control) so we never got to active labor and didn’t get as much interaction with Tisha during the labor and delivery as we were hoping, but I have no doubt she would have been amazing had that been the case. She also came over after we were home to check in, answer any questions, and show us how to safely use baby stuff. We are still in the newborn so I am sure I am forgetting other wonderful things she did, but would absolutely recommend DoulaLove and Tisha! Really great experience to just have someone there to support you and answer questions as a first time mom ?? The only thing we didn’t like as much but didn’t want to take a star away because Tisha was so great, was the instructor for two of the birth classes at Doula Love were not our favorite. There were many things that she said that came off as very opinionated and judgmental if you were to disagree. She often went on tangents and did not answer the question that was asked by participants, just would say what she wanted to on the topic. The other instructor we had was really great though! Overall good experience. ??

Sage was my doula and she was absolutely wonderful. With my first baby I had a horrible experience, so this time I decided a doula was necessary especially for the advocation piece. Sage advocated, advised, and was so gentle and kind my whole labor- all 23 hours of it. I really don't think I would have had a successful VBAC without her.

I have been asked about my birthing story and experience by multiple people and the first thing that comes to mind is 1 word, four letters... SAGE. Sage was my Doula and words cannot express how grateful I am. Grateful to Doula Love for putting me in contact with Sage. Grateful for the opening in Sage's schedule to take us on as clients. Grateful for the calming supportive human that made welcoming our first child into this world absoluetly perfect...that human is Sage. 

Doula Love sent us a couple folks that matched up with what we were looking for in a Doula that also had availablity around the time our little one was due. We read through the Bios, set up a virtual meet and greet, and knew right away that Sage was going to be our person. 

Sage is that calming presence that you want and need. She can read a room and was very intuiative to how I was feeling and alwasy seemed 5 steps ahead. She met with us a couple times before the birth so we felt well informed of what to expect and tips/tricks...it was great! The communication was top notch all around and I full hearted believe Sage was key in us having such a great birthing experince.

We used AshLee as our birth Doula and she was amazing! I would highly recommend her. She was so comfortable to be around from our very first meeting. Giving birth is such a vulnerable experience and she was so supportive and calming and helped us through each step. If you're considering using a doula I would definitely recommend AshLee.

AshLee was an essential member on my birth team. I was hesitant to hire a doula as I was worried about having a "stranger" at my birth, but AshLee was such a calming presence at my birth, I can't imagine having done it without her. My midwives were also impressed with her knowledge and confidence in a non-hospital setting. She was also very friendly and communicative about pre- and post-birth check ins. I would 100% recommend her!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about our experience with Doula Love. Our doula, Shontee, has been our rock through the perinatal process - pregnancy, birth and postpartum. She has been a constant source of wisdom and a calming presence for us as we enter parenthood. In particular, I can’t imagine our birth without her. Not only did she help us prepare thoughtfully, but was absolutely critical during labor. She suggested different positions to help the baby descend, created a space in the delivery room that was inviting vs medical, taught my partner methods to support me meaningfully, offered pain coping techniques and guided us through the extremely stressful experience of an emergency c-section. We’re so very grateful that Shontee was part of our birthing team!

We also took a number of classes offered through Doula Love that helped to build our skills, set expectations and facilitate helpful discussion between my partner and I as we prepped to welcome our child. Working with Doula Love undoubtedly eased the more turbulent elements of transitioning into parenthood and partnering with a doula was the most impactful step we took.

I am so thankful to have her as my doula, she provided one of the most wonderful experiences as a new mom that I could ever ask for. Very knowledgeable and understanding, she is kind and makes any situation feel relax and supportive. I would recommend her to anyone but specially new moms out there that need to navigate this new experience.

Barb was informative, easy going, and supportive prior to the birth. During labor, she was invaluable! We're so glad she was with us. Additionally the breast feeding class that came with our doula was extremely helpful. The teacher was so knowledgeable and conveyed info an a very accessible way.

Our whole experience with our Doula Lori was an absolute pleasure. She is so knowledgeable and caring. She showed up when we needed her to and her bag of tricks was extensive! Because of her guidance I chose to record a meditation for my pregnant partner that we used as a hypnobithing technique. It really helped her get through the hardest parts of her 39 hour labor. I don't know what I would've done without her support. She gave me the chance to get some rest and feel supported. And of course her wealth of knowledge and experience made us feel so comfortable. She helped my partner get through the hardest moments and make the most informed decisions necessary to bring my son into this world. It all ended smoothly and she didn't need a single stitch. It was quite an experience and my partner and I are just so grateful we got to have Lori be there with us.

Melissa Harger was a great fit for our family as we welcomed our second child in August 2023. She provided so much support and peace of mind to both my husband and me during my unmedicated hospital labor and delivery. She is knowledgeable, passionate, and professional. I appreciated her calm and friendly demeanor, thoughtfulnes, and flexibility. She provided excellent resources tailored to me.  I would highly recommend Melissa to be your doula.

We had AshLee as our Doula! She was everything I wanted out of a Doula and more! She made sure my Husband and I felt comfortable and supported before, during, and after birth. During the labor and delivery process she helped me most by suggesting different positions to labor in, helping me make the room smell good and adding mood lighting, and most of all being there as someone to talk to between contractions while my Husband got some rest. She also made suggestions to my Husband on ways he could better support me. Overall she made my birth experience one I will never forget, and it would be a dream to have her be a part of my future births. If you need someone to make laugh between contractions then switch into doula mode within seconds, she's your doula!

I took multiple classes with them, met some amazing people and have hired 3 seperate Doula's through them for my two births. Doula Love was easy to work with, provided clear guidance, and helped us have a smooth transition into parenthood. Morgan was a fantastic postpartum doula! Her calm energy and welcoming presence was exactly what we needed as we transitioned to becoming a family of three. We loved her ability to provide guidance on our postpartum questions and give us different approaches to try. As a bilingual couple, it was important for us to find a doula that could also communicate in Spanish. Morgan had excellent communication throughout our entire experience.
