There are so many things I can say about my labor and experience with Jessica as my doula. Let's start with why I felt the need and desire to have a doula. In 2014 I was forced to have a c-section with my now 3 year old daughter. As I began to push with her my doctor at the time noticed she was about 2 inches way from the birth canal towards my left hip. During this birth I had no one to advocate for me or to suggest different positions to possibly help her move and I had the worst case of labor PTSD.
So when I started with my new doctor and became pregnant I knew I wanted the best chance for a successful VBAC. I began researching and found that many women had a higher success rate with the use of a doula.
Jessica was a huge blessing!!! Not only was she there to offer me comfort and support but she was awesome at giving my husband ideas of how to help me progress and relax.
When I was on my last strength Jessica was there with my mom and husband to cheer me on and remind me that soon I would be holding my baby girl. She helped me push past the pain and get my second wind to give the one last good push that brought Emersyn into the world!
I would highly recommend her to anyone wanting to experience one of the best birth cheerleaders there are around!!
