Cassie was the most amazing addition to our team! We literally wouldn't have been able to go through the challenging labor we did without her. She was always one step ahead of what was happening, what I needed, what to communicate to the nurse etc. She had a calm but strong presence and helped me and my partner to feel more confident during the entire labor process. We had complications and our birth didn't go as planned but Cassie helped us to stay on track as much as possible and was not only there for me physically (giving the most amazing counter pressure) giving us affirmations, getting me what I needed when I couldn't ask for it, she was also there for us emotionally in the exact way we needed her. She's an expert at anticipating her clients needs and exceeding in providing. Cassie was such a solid rock for our whole team including our baby. Cassie visited our baby in the NICU right after birth when my partner and I couldn't. Knowing she was there for my baby gave me such peace. Cassie was also there for us prior to birth answering endless questions and guiding me through creating a birth plan and what to expect. I couldn't have asked for a better doula! We highly recommend Cassie!

I was deeply saddened to receive the prior review. I always aim for exceptional, open, and honest communication with my clients and I am gutted when I don’t meet expectations. 

I appreciate the client taking the time to express how she felt about our experience together however I have a very different intrepretation of how the relationship devloved. 

I take every piece of feedback, good and bad, and use it to improve upon my practice and relationships with clients. Moving forward I will make sure that the client and I are 100% on the same page in terms of communication styles.

Not a good one for sure. She is very friendly and says she's going to give resources and reach out and help you, but once you give her a deposit payment things go nowhere. I had to text multiple times to try and schedule a birth plan meeting with her, still never got one scheduled. I would hear back 2-3 days after my text to her was sent, if that. She does operate on a sliding pay scale which is great, but not helpful when I don't know what I even made a deposit for that I cannot get back as she said she has declined other clients when she told me she was just getting back into doulaing. I asked what I gave her the deposit for and that was her only reasoning. Just very annoyed and upset because I thought we were bringing a baby in the world together and now she is bringing family into this as it's like it's my fault. So I personally do not recommend from my experiences.

She helped guide my husband and I through the hardest contractions and I felt like she knew exactly what I needed at each moment more than I did. she knew when I needed a cold cloth on my head or when it would feel good to change positions. I felt like I barely needed to think because she was anticipating my next request. Things progressed quickly and she definitely contributed to that in my opinion! The doula experience exceeded our expectations. My husband and I really enjoyed getting to know Cassie before the birth and she made the labor experience so much more enjoyable. She lifted a cloud of worry from us because I knew that she would tell us what was normal or not and she could also anticipate how I was feeling at any given stage of labor. The birth went much quicker than I expected, so that was great! She stuck around and made sure my son latched on and she knew when to give us space as well. Overall I had a wonderful experience and look forward to hiring Cassie next time I’m pregnant!

“Working with Cassie was an absolutely fabulous experience. We connected with her instantly and felt extremely supported along the way. She were always available to give her advice and provide research-based information as we had questions.

Things did not go according to our birth plan, but Cassie was with us every step of the way, and helped us feel confident and more relaxed during the experience. I am so glad that I had Cassie as my doula. When I first found out that I was pregnant I hadn't considered getting a doula. I didn't think I needed one and wasn't sure if I could afford one. But after some prompting from my birth center I decided to look into it. I found Cassie and from our first meeting I was just so happy that I made the choice to get a doula. She was such a great listener when I was unsure or overwhelmed. Her warmth and knowledge allowed me to feel comfortable enough to share my own fears and address them before the birth. As this was my first, it was helpful to have someone who was able to be that strong, stable and steady guide through the whole process. After the birth Cassie was such a great resource for me whenever I had a question about anything she gave thoughtful answers and she made sure to check in on me and baby as often as we needed her. It's been almost five months since my birth and I still feel like I could call her for any questions I have or just need someone to listen to me. I really am so happy to have met this wonderful woman!
