Here is what a client named Jessica Brown has to say about working with Sophie:

I absolutely loved having Sophie as my doula. She is amazing! She was always quick to answer any questions I had before and after baby came. We met multiple times before labor to talk about all the ins and outs. I really wasn’t sure what I wanted my birth plan to look like or where to even begin, but she was so helpful. We came up with a great plan that was flexible and perfect for me. I felt so comfortable and confident going into labor! I really had the best team helping me. Day of, I was feeling so done after having contractions all day and still only at a 4. Once Sophie got there she turned the lights down, got out candles, music, oils, gave position suggestions, etc. (all part of my plan) I felt so rejuvenated and ready to keep going! She stayed calm and genuinely confident in me the entire time which helped me so much. I also thought my husband was doing a good job with counter pressure, but once Sophie started doing it I realized my husband was actually not doing anything. She can do it all! She was especially helpful when my husband started getting queezy. I highly recommend her to anyone! She’s the best.

Here is what a client named Janelle & Troy has to say about working with Stephanie:

We couldn't imagine a better partner than Steph for our first birth. She is kind, compassionate, and asks all the right questions. Communication is one of her strong suits, and she answered all of our questions, no matter how trivial I might have worried they would sound. When I was induced due to high blood pressure, she was there even though we were well ahead of my due date. My husband was the perfect partner for telling me how amazing I was doing, Steph was the perfect partner for helping us find new positions, remind me of the right way to breathe, and help me with coping techniques. I was able to achieve my goal of an unmedicated birth through her help. We would partner with her again in a heartbeat, and hope she is available if we have another baby.

Here is what a client named Bronwyn has to say about working with Katie:

I found Katie while we were preparing for another baby and months before I was even pregnant. I had two previous births that didn’t go as planned and had trauma from postpartum depression. I wanted another baby but was terrified of that postpartum period.

I got pregnant and immediately reached out to Katie. I was only 6 weeks along when we met and I laid out everything to her. She was so supportive and understanding of the things I was looking for.

This birth also didn’t go as expected (I’ve learned it never does!), but I would have never made it through without Katie and the rest of my team. At one point during the birth when things were going slower, Katie got down to my level and knowing my previous trauma, she asked me what I was holding back. There was a huge emotional release and everyone cried with me while Katie held onto me.

Despite the challenges of the birth, it was wonderful. There was so much laughter and support. I felt disconnected in my last birth and she was always there with a hand on me to help keep me in the moment. Katie stayed with me for hours after the birth to make sure I was okay. I had to be vulnerable and really open up for Katie to know what I needed, but once I did it felt like she handled everything.

One missing piece from my previous births was support for my husband. I expressed to Katie how he felt left out during the first two. She completely changed it this time and afterwards he said “she was a doula for both of us” I laughed because that was the point!

This was our last baby, and it’s bittersweet because I’d have 100 more babies just to have Katie there for all of them!
