Where do I even begin!? Claire was absolutely amazing, and I cannot recommend her more highly. Because of Claire, I felt better, less stressed, and more empowered at every step of the way from pregnancy through labor and delivery. From the day we met (for coffee, so we could get to know each other in a low-pressure environment), Claire was warm, kind, and informative. She made it clear that she was on our team and would bring her experience and expertise to support me in any way that she could. My husband was skeptical about a doula, mainly because he didn't understand why we might need one. After our pre-natal appointment, he was completely sold. Claire came prepared with questions, answers, and lots of tips for birthing positions and ways to prepare. With so many unknowns, he realized the benefits of having someone continuosly in our corner. When my water broke at 4am, I texted Claire to check in and get some of my questions answered while waiting to hear from the midwife on call. When I checked into the hospital the next morning, Claire was there to help me get set up and to help us decide on the next steps recommended by the midwife. When things really got going, Claire was there holding my hand, breathing with me for hours. Claire helped keep me as comfortable as possible, recommending when to change positions, to get in the shower, to try to relax in the bed, etc. When things got a little scary - the baby's heart rate dropped significantly with each contraction - she was there to help my husband remain calm and understand what was going on. Having both Claire and my husband in the room allowed them each to take small breaks - and I had no idea! She coached my husband on how to support me, shared info with family in the waiting room, and even took some pictures once baby boy arrived. I truly cannot recommend Claire more highly. I wish every laboring woman could have someone like Claire by her side. She's just that wonderful

Claire was the perfect doula! From the moment we met through the birth of our first child, she was amazingly supportive, informative, and professional. We truly could not have had the birth experience we wanted (and had) without her. We wanted to have an unmedicated birth and planned to use the Bradley Method. Claire was very supportive of our wishes and matched her suggestions and advice accordingly. She was an endless source of support and comfort in the weeks leading up to the birth, and when I went into labor, she was the perfect companion to have with us. She gave us advice when we needed it and faded into the background when she sensed that my husband and I wanted time alone. My family also inadvertently ended up attending the entire birth, and she helped them know what to do to support us (i.e., getting us water, subbing in for my husband to provide counterpressure when he got tired, etc.). We are endlessly grateful for her role in our birthing experience and honestly feel we could not have done it without her. If she's available when and if we decide to have another child, we will be using her services again!

Claire was the doula for the birth of my first baby on July 3, 2017. My husband and I had spoken with several other doulas before Claire and weren't sure we had found the right match. Once we met Claire, we knew we had found someone we could rely on for support, warmth, strength, and a sense of humor. I will not hesitate to seek her support when I am preparing for my next birth. Claire is reassuringly proactive -- she met with my husband and me at our apartment to discuss our birth plan, set up weekly check-in calls as I approached delivery, and visited us after our daughter's birth. Throughout our experience, Claire shared resources on mindfulness, labor positions, and lactation. When I went to the hospital on July 2, Claire beat us there -- she helped us get checked in and set up a peaceful environment in the labor and delivery room, complete with Christmas lights and music I had chosen.

My birth was exactly what I wanted it to be -- I was surrounded a small team of people I trusted, and the room was calm and quiet (except for me!). Claire was essential to this. She was praised by the nursing staff and midwives, who recognized her natural gift as a doula. She is at once soothing and confident, and she helped me to breathe through contractions, repeating phrases that instilled a belief that I could manage the intensity and make it through without medication. I gave birth to an 8lb, 12oz baby without intervention.

Claire is an incredible doula -- I offer my highest recommendation to parents-to-be searching for a partner you can trust.
