I had high expectations for Mallorie's impact on our birth experience and she exceeded them in every possible way.
My wife and I had our baby boy on September 23rd, 2019.
As the husband, I was very involved in the entire pregnancy, birth, and postpartum and therefore interviewing doulas and selecting Mallorie. It was obvious that Mallorie has a passion for the labor and delivery process and has a wealth of knowledge that she gently shares with her clients. She is verse on the most recent research in the L&D space. Mallorie checked all the boxes and quickly gained the trust of my wife and I through our interview process.
During our pregnancy my wife and I participated in a 8 week class called "The Bradley Method" which encourages husband coached natural childbirth. Most of my guy friends hired doulas to take the burden off of them. As a husband who was knowledgable about the process and my wife's vision, I wanted one who could speak in the same language of L&D RN's and OB's to help us reach our birth goals. Mallorie's background as an RN proved valuable in the entire process.
Leading up to the birth during pregnancy, Mallorie responded to our text messages and phone calls promptly and gently. We had our consultation to review our birth plan and she gave us constructive feedback. With her background in a hospital setting with nurses and doctors, she let us know how to correctly phrase our goals and also what was realistic.
At the hospital, Mallorie had a plethora of laboring positions both designed for positioning and lowering the baby as well as pain management. She gained the trust of my wife, nurses, and eventually doctor which all contributed towards a successful birth. It was obvious that every second of the 15 hours of labor that Mallorie genuinely cared for my wife and our birth plan. I'd recommend Mallorie to any Mom, she will be a valuable tool in achieving your birth goals!
We hired Mallorie about three months before our due date. What set her apart was her nursing background, which gave us added comfort. We had discovered that the OBGYN metely made sure nothing was going terribly wrong; Mallorie was the one who filled every gap left after that. During week 36, we discovered our baby was breach. Mallorie helped us understand and explore our options like no one else. When a C section became inevitable, we questioned what role Mallorie could play. But she was indispensable. She tended to Claudia’s needs like no one else did on the big day, applying both her nursing knowledge as well as her emotional support. In the delivery room, she guided a clueless first time dad, and advicated on behalf of an overwhelmed first time mom, at every step. And she took pictures to boot. She continued answering our questions long after birth.
Mallorie was a pillar of support and knowledge at our most vulnerable moment. We are eternally grateful and would never do this again without her.
For the birth of my fourth child I was blessed with the opportunity to have Mallorie Hall as my Doula. This was my first experience working with a doula and it was an incredible experience. Mallorie was not only there for the birth of my child but was there throughout the months leading up to the birth. Mallorie was able to help me prepare physically, mentally, and emotionally for my daughters birth. It was so helpful to have someone available for pre-labor questions and concerns. Mallorie is a very knowledgeable doula with incredible experience and an immense passion for what she does. Her passion shows in her work and dedication to making your birthing experience calm, peaceful, and beautiful. She helped me during labor with different positions to encourage a smooth delivery and helped me through each step of the delivery process from a beautiful playlist to calm me and bring me into a peaceful state of mind to helping me into positions that made delivery less stressful on the baby and even with breastfeeding postpartum. My birth experience with Mallorie by my side was hands down, by far the most
Wonderful and peaceful birth I have experienced out of all 4 of my children’s births. I would absolutely refer anyone to Mallorie Hall for their doula. She is a kind, passionate, knowledgeable and servant-hearted person that anyone would be blessed to have by their side during such a life changing experience.
I selected Mallorie as my Doula about three months before giving birth to my daughter. I had no idea the value she would bring. We met leading up to the birth and she helped t prepare me with expectations and possible obstacles. One of these obstacles ended up being necessary which was induction five days before my due date. Mallorie was there when I needed her and made last minute arrangements in order to be present ASAP. Mallorie have my husband a needed lunch break and support when it was crucial. As for me in labor I was lost without help. Mallorie was my voice when I trult didn’t have the ability to speak and knew how to advocate for my needs and desires. Mallorie articulated options for me during labor and never made me feel cornered into a decision. I was able to have the birth I wanted because of Malllorie’s skill and knowledge. One of her most valuable additions during labor was moving me into different positions that moved the baby down effectively and helped me to relax and open up. I wouldn’t change anything about my birth and would certainly use Mallorie in the future as we grow our family. If you are on the fence please do yourself a favor and hire her. She is all you need.
I am a Licensed Midwife in the DFW area, and have had the privledge to work with Mallorie. It’s rare to find a Doula with the added benefit of nursing experience, but even more, with a natural minded view of birth and a Woman’s strength.
An important but little known benefit of an excellent Doula is one who can work well with others. Mallorie is a team player and has her clients experience/ memories at the front of every decision.
Hiring Mallorie, you get so much more than a Doula, you gain an expanded knowledge base as well! I can’t begin to tell you how well that will serve you!
I am so thankful to know and be able to work alongside her, knowing my Midwifery clients will receive the best support and to have her as a part of a wonderful birth team.

I am so thankful for Mallorie and the support she provided both throughout my pregnancy and during birth. Mallorie gave me peace of mind and helped me do everything in my power to have an unmedicated birth. Ultimately, after 8 hours of labor accompanied by multiple decelerations of the baby's heart, she also helped my face one of my biggest fears: having an emergency c-section. She made sure I understood what was happening, as chaos seemed to be exploding all around me. She helped give me the strength and calm to accept the change of plans.
While it wasn't the perfect birth that I had envisioned, I had the perfect healthy baby and that was my ultimate goal.
Throughout the pregnancy Mallorie provided sound advice while I considering changing OBs and the hospital at which I would deliver. She recommended classes I should take to prepare for an unmedicated child birth.
As an L&D nurse, she patiently walked us through the induction process when my OB recommended that we have one at 39 weeks. Ultimately, we chose not to move forward with the induction at that time. She helped remind us that this was our decision, not the doctor's.
When the day finally came for our baby's birth, Mallorie met us at the hospital in the middle of the night and helped me through contractions, providing coaching, and comfort. She was a blessing to have in the delivery room. Mallorie was absolutely lovely and I will definitely use her again.
Mallorie was on call for my labor. She was such a tremendous help for and my husband! Mallorie was especially awesome at helping me to keep calm and remember my breathing to help me relax and progress. She was also great and helping me to boost my slow labor. It was really nice to have an experienced L&D nurse right there at my bedside with me the whole time. She even braided my hair and gave my husband breaks too! With Mallories help and hynobirthing I was able to remain relaxed and calm all the way until transition. I don’t think I could’ve managed my unmedicated VBAC without her!
I loved working with Mallorie. She helped me labor through for my first baby. I was so scared and didn’t know what to expect, but she guided me through and comforted me every step of the way. She was a calming presence and encouraged me through every moment. She is a great communicator too and involved my husband in supporting me through labor. I felt so safe with her there. She also has experience as a nurse at Medical City and knew the staff well- they worked together closely and well during my labor. Her nursing expertise was also a comfort for me, particularly when she walked me through my options for everything from fetal monitoring to pain management. I feel so fortunate to have had Mallorie as my doula.
After experiencing my first labor and delivery without a doula, I can say after having Mallorie as doula for my second, I never want to labor again without her by my side. For my husband, it was wonderful to have the extra support and comfort of knowing Mallorie was very experienced and knowledgable. She knew just what to do to ease my pain and anxiety by using various essential oils and massage.
After my epidural wore off, she eased me into a position that helped my body completely dilate and progress my labor, the whole time showing so much care and attentiveness and working well with the other nurses and my doctor. When my doctor wanted to do an episiotomy, she convinced her to give me one more chance and then supported me in giving the final push to deliver without any interventions needed. I knew she had both baby and my best interests in mind, and I know it would have all gone so differently without her there.
When I look back on it, I can't remember the experience without thinking of all that she did, right there at my side. She checked in with me in postpartum at the hospital as well as the following week at home and was a much needed support with breastfeeding and the struggles my son and I had for the first six weeks. When two separate doctors encouraged me to supplement with formula, she was equipped with so much information and various techniques of what I needed to try and so uplifting when I felt discouraged. She was our angel and are forever grateful for her care and support.
