If you are looking for support after the birth of your child, you could not find a better source than Nora. We had moved to the area while pregnant and with no local family, and working with her over the course of our daughter's first year (we just couldn't give her up!), Nora became that family to us - in fact, she will always be "Auntie Nora" to our little girl. Nora is knowledgable, helpful, conscientious, committed, punctual, and a fantastic communicator. But more than all of that, Nora understands that, as new parents, we sometimes (often?) have no idea what we are doing, and that this is normal and okay. She stays calm, offers help and support without judgment or talking down, is warm, kind, and just an overall lovely human being. She created a safe space for me to be at my most vulnerable and overwhelmed, and was there with us to celebrate the joys and successes too. I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about Nora - if you choose to work with her, you will never regret it!

Nora was fantastic. She is reliable, knowledgable, caring, gentle and calm. I had surgery at 6 weeks postpartum and was on crutches and unable to carry our daughter for a month afterward. Not only did she take excellent care of our daughter, but she also was incredibly supportive to me. She had good advice on breastfeeding and also had great recommendations for local resources. Would absolutely recommend.

We couldn't have enough wonderful things to say about Nora! She is knowledgable, insightful, supportive and does an incredible job to give the support you need.

I originally engaged Nora because we were having our second child. I had many issues breastfeeding my first child, and anticipated the second experience to be similarly hard. We wanted someone who could help us get off to a good start both with breastfeeding and with figuring out the systems we needed to juggle two kids.

Nora was incredibly supportive from the moment we had our baby. She was in the hospital to visit us and help me get a good start on breastfeeding. She gave me so much confidence, tips and tricks, but most importantly the right mindset to breastfeed and support my family in ways that made sense for us. She gave me the confidence to keep breastfeeding, even when it was hard and when there were questions about weight gain. It was the mindset she helped me develop that helped me get through the hard parts and develop a super nurturing relationship with my little one - rather than one filled with stress. I managed to breastfeed exclusively and now feel super confident. As a result, I feel so much more relaxed and responsive to my little ones needs.

This is just one example of how Nora helped out. She was incredibly supportive, always flexible (even when we didn't know what we needed) with schedules. If you're looking for someone to help guide you through this magical and yet challenging time - Nora is your person. I feel incredibly lucky and thankful for her support.

Nora was such a big help! We had no idea what we were doing and it was great to have Nora help us through the first few days of us being back home with our newborn. It was wonderful to have someone with so much experience right there to ask any question that came to mind (and we had a lot of questions!).

Nora is calm, assuring, and dependable. I highly recommend her!

If you are looking for a post-partum doula then we highly recommend Nora Aldous. We worked with Nora 3x per week for a 12 week period after our daughter was born.  As first time parents we found Nora to be incredibly helpful.  She showed us how to do things like properly bathe our daughter.  Nora was a great support to us, providing advice and information on our child.  Additionally, it was great to have someone we trust watch our daughter so we could enjoy a nice dinner at home, take a nap. watch tv or just simply have a break.
