I had a pretty traumatic first birth which completely shattered my confidence, in myslef and my body. I didn't believe I had the strength to deliver my baby naturally. I thank the universe for bringing Elizabeth into my life. Her calm, gentle yet strong presence was exactly what I needed in achieving my ideal birth. I delivered my baby with absolutely no interventions except a soothing tub, surrounded by love. I don't think I could've done it without her. She was with me every step of the way and beyond. She is a genuine soul that radiates unconditional love and I am eternally grateful for her. I couldn't recommend her enough.

I should probably start by saying that when my wife first came to me and suggested we hire a doula for the birth of our child, I was against the idea.  I didn't see the need for an additional person present during the birthing process.  After our experience with Elizabeth, I have to admit that I couldn't have been more wrong.

Elizabeth was amazing.  She met with us a few times prior to labor and helped to ease our anxieties and fears.  She instructed us on excercises to prepare my wife for the labor process.  She was an encouraging and uplifiting voice for our family.  She helped to fully inform us of the labor process, and did so in a manner that made it seem less daunting.

Once we went into labor, that's when Elizabeth really started to shine.  She arrived at the hospital with us and stayed for the duration of the process.  The labor took approximately 40 hours from start to finish, and throughout the duration of the labor Elizabeth was with us.  She was a confident, calming presence.  She helped to keep my wife (and me) relaxed and confident in what was going on.  She provided comfort to my wife throughout her labor, and I can't stress enough the emotional support she provided.  In what could have been a terrifying and stressful ordeal, Elizabeth helped to maintain a comfortable environment. Her positive support and uplifting spirit were an incredible part of our family's birthing experience.

After my experience, I would recommend Elizabeth as a birthing doula for any family.  Her value to our family during our child's birth can't be overstated.
