I had the absolute pleasure of spending several weeks with Marissa, taking Bradley Method classes. I learned more in the 12 weeks, from Marissa, than I did from any book, article, doctor, or friend. She was so incredibly insightful and always willing to seek answers to questions she was unsure of. I then had the blessing of having her as my doula, while she accompanied me in the weeks, day of, and days after of delivering my first daughter. My husband and I felt so prepared for the labor. Marissa stayed with us the entire time, and offered her support, love, and knowledge. Our daughter was born 100% naturally, all thanks to Marissa. She was one of the best choices we ever made in beginning a holistic life for our daughter.

Marissa is a joy to work with and her knowledge in childbirth education/preparation is top notch. She is kind and attentive to her clients and genuinely wants the best outcome for your specific journey.

Marissa’s heart shines through everything she does. She is a dedicated Doula and childbirth educator and will fully prepare you with all the knowledge needed to have an empowering birth experience. Mother’s and fathers both praise how they wouldn’t have been able to do it without having Marissa by their side. She has a calm presence and brings light to everything with her great sense of humor. She is as real as they come and someone you can just feel completely  comfortable to be exactly who you are around.  I have worked with Marissa for 3 years and am fully confident when we work together that I have someone I can count on to provide the family with everything they need to treasure their experience. I cannot say enough good things about her!

Marissa teaches couples exactly what they need to know to be prepared for labor and the birth of their baby. I’ve had the pleasure of being a doula for a couple that had taken Marissas class and after the birth both of the parents said they felt far less anxious and knew exactly what was happening due to being taught by Marissa. Notihng that happened or stage of labor came as a surprise to them because they were well informed and prepared. I would highly recommend Marissa’s Bradley class to all expectant parents.

I have worked with Marissa for 3 years now and am continually blown away by her dedication to women's health and education. Her Bradley students and doula clients give her nothing but rave reviews. Marissa is organized, very knowledgeable and puts clients at ease with her warm words. I am so blessed to know this woman.

Marissa was the doula for my VNAC (the birth of my second child) along with Caley Kolb of A Joyful Journey! She was there for early lab and the actual delivery (Caley's shift fell during most of my active labor, and since I was in labor for 20 hours, Marissa's shift started again toward the end.) When she arrived for the end of my labor, I had already received my epidural, so we were just chatting for a while, but she helped me remain calm and talked me through what would be happening and eased my mind and encouraged me when it was clear that I was getting closer to the time where I would start pushing! She continued to be a cheerleader while I pushed and helped my husband help me! It was wonderful having another person in the delivery room with us because she was able to remember the song that my son was born to and take pictures of the first skin to skin moments and his first latch, so that my husband and I could just be in the moment. I would definitely recommend Marissa and Caley of A Joyful Journey to anyone that is looking for a positive birth experience! Thank you, Marissa!

When I was expecting my second child, I knew I wanted a better birth experience and a more natural approach to birth than what I had with my first child. A friend referred me to Marissa's Bradley Method class. I was so excited to begin! From day 1, Marissa was so kind and respectful. She was never judgmental and was always open to all sorts of questions. Her class was appropriately paced and extremely organized. She always had the corresponding resources available to go along with what we were learning every week. By the end of the class I felt 100% more confident in achieving a more desirable birth experience and also more confident in my knowledge of the entire birthing process. Even after the course ended Marissa continued to help me in my questions as they arose even up to the day my baby was born. I DID achieve an empowering birth and I am SO proud of what I accomplished! I am forever grateful to Marissa for dedicating her time to teach me the importance of informed consent, health in pregnancy and post partum, and the most effective techniques to birth naturally.

Marissa is the best Bradley teacher and the best doula! I am so very thankful that my husband and I were so well prepared for our first birth because of her. I had a very long and exhausting labor and Marissa was by my side helping me the whole time. I would have never been able to do it without her. She is calm and caring and so knowledgeable about everything she does. Her continual care after birth as well was so wonderful and helpful. She checked in with me for several weeks after my birth and answered so many questions. That care and help was invaluable to me as a new mom. I can't wait to use her services again if the Lord blesses us with another child someday. I cannot recommend her enough!

Our experience with Marissa was outstanding. We had her as our Bradley teacher before the birth of our first child and as our doula for the birth of our second two children. She is very knowledgeable in all aspect of pregnancy and birth. Her calm demeanor, warm sense of humor and gentle heart coupled with her strength of mind and complete belief in the power of a birthing mother, make her a perfect choice for any couple wanting support. She works well with anyone so you feel supported and safe in her presence. I can honestly say that I would not give birth without this woman by my side.

Marissa is a wonderful doula. She supported me through birth of my fourth child.  Her presence is calming and she brings a sense of peace to the room. I was grateful for the techniques she used to help me maintain focus and prepare for all aspects of my labor.  Having a doula allowed for additional support during labor for my husband, as well. I highly recommend Marissa as a doula.  Her knowledge, compassion and dedication to educating and supporting women during pregnacy and post partum is outstanding.

Marissa was my Bradley birth instructor.  Being first time parents we were nervous as any couple would be and we had a ton of questions.  The one thing that I had decided early on in my pregnancy was that I wanted to have an intervention free birth without any epidural or other pain medications.  I decided to take Marissa's class to help achieve my goal as well as for my husband to learn how he can be helpful in supporting me.  Marissa answered all of our questions and prepared us very well for the big day!  I was not able to have an intervention free birth since I needed to be induced but I was able to deliver without the use of any medication.  Without the knowledge from her class and support I would not have been able to accomplish a pain med free birth.  I would highly recommend this class and Marissa as the instructor.  My husband and I both loved her!

If you are looking for a doula who is patient, knowledgeable and loves what she does, Marissa is the doula for you.  We were new parents to be, Marissa helped us with every step of the way.  We had a beautiful, healthy baby girl and we couldn't have done it without Marissa by our side!

Nicole Domain

Having Marissa by my side throughout my labor and delivery was exactly what I needed. It helped me and my husband feel more comfortable, confident and empowered. I was lucky to have an amazing midwife and the best labor and delivery nurses there as well, but I zoned in to my inner strength and Marissa's voice much of the time. Having someone there who knows the many possible fears, triggers and medical interventions that a birthing mother can face, will definitely help a mom focus on what she truly wants and needs during the more challenging moments. Having a doula is worth every penny, and Marissa would be a great choice for anyone who is looking for one!
