I can not recommend Ebon’Nae enough! She is truly worth her weight in gold. My pregnancy and birth journey wouldn’t have been the same without her. As a doula and prenatal chiropractor myself I was extremely picky when it came to choosing my birth team and in DFW we are fortunate to have many wonderful Doulas. Although Ebon’Nae’s reputation preceded her and her resume was impressive, her spirit was the deciding factor for me. I knew in my gut she was my doula! Because I am super educated on birth as a fellow birth pro, I knew I would need mental prep and emotional support most. She did not disappoint providing the emotional support and presence I knew I needed, even my husband commented multiple times on how her calm confidence gave him so much peace about our journey. I felt confident and “in control” during my labor, and Ebon’nae held space for us intervening at just the right time with suggestions and guidance. I truly had a “God-led Childbirth” experience as a result of having her in our corner.
Ebon'Nae is a gift! She is beyond excellent at her craft. She is more than a doula, but she's an educator, a sister, and a friend. I trusted her with helping my husband and I have the natural birth we prayed for, and it was one of the best decisions of my life, and the life of our new son. She was there for us the entire pregnancy and still checks on us in my post partum period. I would hire her again in a heartbeat!! Thank you Ebon'Nae for your dedication, patience, and love during this special time in our life.
I honestly don’t know where to start with this one. But i must say I’ve gained more than just a doula. Ebon’Nae has been a friend, sister, mentor, prayer warrior etc. I met her in January a lil bit after my mom passed away and it seem like i been knowing her all my life. She was definitely God sent! When i say she’s built for what she does i mean that with everything in me. It’s been times I’ve been going through things and she’ll call/text me or vice verse we’re definitely connected. I am truly grateful that God placed her in my life! It’s been such a blessing having her as our doula getting us ready for this natural birth besides my fiancée she has been one of my biggest support system. From pregnancy to birth to postpartum she has been helpful in every way possible. It’s a must we do something special for her. Thank you for everything hun keep doing you and changing lives and helping families in any way you can much love! If you’ll need a doula hit her up i promise you won’t regret it she’s the BEST!
Hiring Ebon’Nae was the best decision I could’ve made during my pregnancy. She was there for me every step of the way. It felt like I came across every roadblock during this pregnancy but Ebon’Nae helped me to not let them get in the way of our goal of a vbac. She prayed with me and for me when I couldn’t pray for myself. She forced me to become a better advocate for myself and my child. When I went into labor she was angel in disguise. I wouldn’t have made it without her. I hated to see our journey end but I’m grateful to have made a forever friend.
The first thing we did was discuss my goals, my fears, and any questions my husband or I had about her services. I still had an OB at the time so we discussed what my hospital birth might look like, and she also educated me on home births and birthing centers. She helped me schedule a few interviews with midwives, and after getting more knowledge I was led to fire my OB and hire a midwife at about week 21 and decided that I wanted to pursue a vaginal home birth after cesarean ( VBAC HBAC).Around week 25 I realized that she was an excellent sounding board for all of my crazy emotions. I could vent about what I was feeling, and she would find the positive things about it and pray with me. I was in the McDonald’s drive through having a complete melt down And she let me cry and when I finished she reassured me that I was a great a mother and wife and she prayed with me.She reminded me of my appointments and things I needed to do. She followed up on paperwork, and she helped plan and host a beautiful blessing way at my home. She also created and organized a meal train for my family and friends to bring us meals during the first weeks adjusting to baby life. She gave me exercises to do nightly in preparation for the marathon I would be running at week 40. She helped me with creating a healthy diet and held me accountable as well. She referred me to an outstanding chiropractor, which relieved so much of my painEbonae led our birth boot camp classes and really made sure my husband and I understood what we didn’t know we needed to understand. She set up the house according to my birth plan the day of delivery, she was like a fairy. Our class taught us Comfort measures, stages and variations of labor or, relaxation exercises, and more. In addition he knew what stage of labor I was in, and how to support me through each process. I am so happy to say today that I had a successful vaginal home birth after C-Section with ZERO complications
When I found out I was pregnant I knew from the beginning that I wanted an all natural birth. Searching for a black doula was very important to me since black women have the highest maternal deaths in the U.S. With that fact in mind I knew I wanted someone who was like minded and could help advocate for me during the most vulnerable time of my life. Throughout this experience Ebonae has been like an older sister to me. Always willing to teach, inform, and answer any questions or address concerns that I or my husband had. She’s very down to earth and will connect you with the right resources. The Birth Boot Camp class she taught us was very informative and helped ease my husband and I into parenthood. Now that I’ve been through the ropes of having a natural childbirth, I now have the confidence needed to do it again for my next pregnancy thanks to Ebonae.
Where do I begin? Starting off with the first visit with Ebon'Nea I felt completely at ease with her. Her energy is trusting and motherly. This was my first child so I knew little to nothing about child birth, let alone natural childbirth. She has so much knowledge in childbirth, natural remedies and physical touch. If it wasn't for her I don't know how I would have made it through my long 39 hour labor. She will be your guide, teacher, support and friend ?? She has impacted my life in such a positive way through the most sensitive time of my life. The affirmation board she made for me during labor was truly amazing. I read it when I felt hopeless and it gave me reinsurance that everything was going to be okay. I also read this when I was first breastfeeding my son, I was frustrated but when I read " I trust my body" I remembered to actually do it. If you are looking for a true healing Doula you are at the right place.
When I first met Ebon’Nea it was for doing some collaborative work to serve our birth community! Little did I know that she was placed in my life right on time! I was about 7 months pregnant when we met. As we begin to wrap up our business talk we started talking about birth plans and birth journeys. We shared very private and intimate details of our own past birth experiences and I felt trusted and heard. As I thought more about my own birth plan and what I was envisioning I was drawn to have her on my team. She met with my midwife at The birth center I chose ( which I had risked out of) . She reminded to to research my back up plan ( the hospital I ultimately delivered with) to ensure I would get as much support for my natural birth plan as possible. It wasn’t a difficult decision at all to have her by my side. She was very grounded in providing faith based care. She was transparent about areas I needed to focus on regarding my birth journey! She asked very intimate questions so I could understand will power and Letting go! I feel her services were above and beyond when she provided so much material for helping my husband feel involved. He was excited to have a pupose! And we are so thankful for her being able to help me help me! I had opened up to her about some concerns and fears and doubts and she rocked that hospital delivery room like a pro! She was very in tune and open to meeting my energy needs and was so flexible. She pushed through the long labor with us and helped me remember that letting go wasnt failing. That letting go meant I knew what was best for my baby! Her faith and spirit had such a beautiful presence in the delivery room. I was able to stay God focused even through the tough contractions and while dancing to trap music! She captured such beaitiful moments of our Birth. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with such a talented and gifted doula! I highly reccoomend Ebon’Nea !
Ebon'Nae is an amazing doula and truly walking in her calling. Thank you for encouraging me every step of the way! I'm still in awe of God! He sent me you! A doula that helped me safely deliver my sweet 9 pounder!! If you are on the fence about hiring a doula let me tell you that you will not regret hiring Royal Lamere Birth Services. Ebon'Nae loves what she does and her passion shows through her kind words, sound advice and calming presence before, during and after labor and delivery.
As I was preparing to give birth to my second child, I was determined for this post partum experience to be different than the 1st..but I had no plan...although I knew what I needed. That is when i found Royal La Mere! I know without a doubt that this experience was divinely orchestrated and has blessed my life tremedously.
As a single mom, Royal La Mere's post partum services were a God send, although I truly believe it's a MUST for any new mommy regardless. From meal prep, to lactation assistance, grocery shopping, providing lunch from my favorite spot, chiropractor referrals for both me and baby ( shout out to Dr. Michelle Jefferson), special lactation sweet treats, belly binding, watching the little one so I can shower or take my other child to an appointment...and SO MUCH MORE...I received the Royal treatment.
Ebon'Nae's humble spirit and willingness to service with such grace is a gift and her true calling.
I truly believe that if it were not for Royal La Mere, I may not have been as successful with breast feeding. I have learned Soooo much from her through her vast knowledge, sharing her personal experiences and patient instructions. After observing the shear pain I experienced each time my little one latched, SHE was the one that discovered my baby had a tongue and lip tie...even though my pediatrician (whom I love) could not see it. Royal La Mere immediately put me in contact with the premiere lactation consultant services at For Baby's Sake which in turn led me to having a frenotomy done. Now we a nursing like champs and pain free!
This is just one of so many examples and so many reasons why I would highly recommend Royal La Mere. Her loving care and support helped to make my post partum experience one that was filled with peace, suppport, and love.
I found Ebon'Nae through the DFW VBAC support group, and choosing her as my doula was the best thing I could have done for this pregnancy. Not only did I get a doula, I got a friend, mentor, someone who was always on call, helpful, spiritual, positive and always there with sound advice and encouragement. I had someone I could voice all of my concerns with regarding wanting a natural birth. I had someone to answer any question I had regarding pregnancy, labor, birth, induction, exercises and all of the many aspects of childbirth I could think of. I had someone who supported whichever decision I made, gave me all the info and guidance that I needed, and made me feel empowered to go for the birth I wanted. My birth story ended up differently than I had hoped for, and Ebon'Nae was there to comfort me and help me come to terms with the outcome and see the positive side of things. I couldn't have asked for a better experience with a doula, and if my husband and I decide on another child, there's no doubt that I will be hiring her again!
It takes a village to give birth and thank God Ebon'Nae was apart of my village. She was genuinely there for me before, during, and even after birth. I could/can text/call her for advice and if she didn't know the answer she would research it for me. She assured me that I COULD and I WOULD be great at giving birth. The comfort measures that I learned from her really helped me ease my pain during contractions. Even my mama loved her lol (which is saying a lot)! I would recommend any person with child to hire her!
Ebon'Nae was a blessing to our family. We felt empowered and educated about every decision made due to my experience in this class. Ebon'Nae was patient and there for me every step of the way. She prayed for me and took time to talk to me outside of class. I had a great support system! I couldn't ask for anyone better! I will definitely attempt another VBAC again because of this class.
Ebon'Nae truly cares! I honestly dont know what I would've done without her help over the last few months. She encouraged me and even brought me a meal and lactation treats on our postpartum visit.
I would recommend her to anyone that is pregnant, no matter what kind of birth you want. She can help to give you great tools and information to feel empowered. She kept me focused and highly prepared. If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant contact my girl Ebon'Nae she's the best. Don't cheat yourself.
