Leigh Ann coached me to do beyond what I would have ever done without her help. I delivered my son naturally with no medication and in a non-traditional position. My husband and I have a six year old daughter, and we decided to expand our family. We hired a doula to help us through the process since it had been so long since our first birth for which we did not have a doula. Leigh Ann was extremely patient, supportive, able and willing to answer our many questions and be there with us as long as we needed her. She's highly responsive to text messages and phone calls and made herself available to us via phone as often as we needed her. We cannot thank her enough for how she coached and supported us as we brought our son into this world. My labor and delivery were fast and, thankfully, she followed her instinct and met us at the hospital sooner than we all thought was necessary. This is a testament, not only to her quality services but her character! I highly recommend Leigh Ann and C.A.R.E. Birth services! You'll be happy you hired her.

Leigh Ann was simply awesome.  I wanted as natural of a birth as possible in a hospital and someone to help guide my husband and answer his questions since this was our first baby.  Leigh Ann was perfect and ended up going way beyond our expectations.  My labor and delivery was 31.5 hours after my water broke.  Leigh Ann was at the hospital with us for more than 24 hours straight.  She suggested positions I could labor in, helped my husband physically distract me from the pain with massage, and answered all of those questions that pop up when you're in pain and just want answers.  Heck, she even held one of my legs during the delivery itself.  She was priceless.

In the end, I was able to naturally deliver our daughter with the help of Leigh Ann, my husband, two amazing nurses, a dedicated doctor, and Pitocin.  I was able to avoid all other interventions and painmeds and the big one for me, the dreaded csection.

If we ever go for number two, Leigh Ann will be one of our very first calls when that pregnancy test pops up positive!

We were so grateful Leigh Ann was our doula. She provided the exact support we were looking for. All I needed to hear was her whisper in my ear listen to your body and I pushed my daughter out. It was perfect.

We had a great birth experience with Leigh Ann! This was our 3rd live birth, and our 2nd time having a doula. We chose to have an unmedicated birth at a hospital. We had hoped for a spontaneous birth, but ended up having to be induced at 41 weeks.

Having a doula helped my husband to have a purpose on what he was supposed to be doing - he wanted to be involved and helpful, but my labors are very intense and I am not able to articulate what I need. Leigh Ann helped him to read what I needed, what was helpful, and what was not helpful. Not only did she help him, but she was a calming presence for me, who could remind me to recenter my thoughts and assist me into moving into more comfortable (or probably less uncomfortable is more accurate!) positions during the laboring process.

In addition to being immensely helpful during the labor and birth process, she was invaluable in the time leading up to the big day. Whenever I had questions or concerns, I knew enough not to just Google and come up with horrifying results. If Leigh Ann didn't know the answer immediately, she had numerous resources that she consulted quickly and got back to me. There was never a time where I felt like she was telling me I MUST or SHOULD do something. She carefully and concisely layed out all the pertinent information, for both sides, and said what the options were and what possible results for either position were. This made things less overwhelming for me.

Leigh Ann was always thoughtful, kind, calm, usually funny, and treated me like a whole person and not just a "pregnant mom" or a "client." She recognized I was really struggling with the whole concept of induction, and was able to help me work through my fears, anxiety, and uncertainty.

Both my husband agree that this birth experience with Leigh Ann was the best one yet. Should we have any future children, we definitely would want Leigh Ann as our doula again. We highly recommend her!
