We chose Jen out of 3 doulas we interviewed because she seemed nonjudgmental about whatever path our birth took, focused on serving and caring for us, and attentive and responsive. Jen was just what we needed to get through an unmedicated hospital birth. She set up the tone of the room, worked beautifully with the staff, and maintained a safe space for our epic process. She offered ideas for shifting the experience at the right moments to keep me moving forward - walking, shower, hand fan. Her presence helped my partner with the nerves, and her review of the birth reminded us how it was beautiful, meaningful, and unique. Love!

We are very happy to have had Jen as our Doula for the birth of our baby boy! As the partner to my wife, I really appreciated everything Jen did for us because of her genuine character, extremely positive energy, a wealth of knowledge, and always being open and listening to our feelings and thoughts. The birth of our son was the most intense and most wonderful experience of my life and having Jen there was exactly what we had hoped to have.

The meetings with her prior to going to hospital was very useful and helpful and with new info (even when we had taken multiple classes at the hospital). She had great techniques that we used. Throughout the birth she guided my partner with utmost care and useful suggestions how to progress.

I felt that she always heard what we said and respected our decisions. The delivery room was full of love!!

The after-the-birth visits were so reassuring as we were getting used to this crazy new way of living!

I totally recommend her as a doula to others.

Jen’s support was vital for both my birthing and postpartum experiences. No amount of reading or prenatal classes could have prepared me for the coming of parenthood. I am grateful for her help in transitioning me into maternity and beyond. It is clear that Jen is passionate about her doula care, and eager to fill the gaps in the insufficient support systems available for women, like me, who lack the resources and network to aid them in maternity.

Jen was an advocate in articulating my wishes to healthcare professionals at the hospital. Following my postpartum period, I faced challenges including nursing issues. She was proactive in providing guidance, teaching techniques and connecting me to the right professionals. Jen is a present doula - she not only has strong listening skills she also attended appointments with me. Overall, her advice, relevant information, emotional support and advocacy contributed my healing and well-being.

Jen became my doula soon after I suddenly found myself a single mom and my due date was

just two months away. She took me under her wing with compassion and understanding. I felt

as soon as we met that I was important to her and the process of my birth meant as much to her

as it did to me.

She met me for 3 prenatal appointments - each time with a new focus on concerns I had, pain

measure techniques, relaxation, breastfeeding and postpartum planning. She was an incredible

resource from the day we met, until now while she still visits me postpartum almost 5 weeks

after giving birth.

My birth went amazing! I felt prepared and safe. I have no idea what I would have done

without her. She fully supported me in all my decisions. We tried every labouring position and

when my body needed more relaxing she encouraged some water therapy in the shower. She

thought of everything, even providing music and dimming the lights. She reassured me that

everything was going well and that she believed in me, because of her I believed in myself

too. Jen supported me at the hospital for 13 hours and breastfeeding was a success within an

hour of birth. She has visited me every week since my daughter was born, coming each time

with new information, helping hands and getting me back into the swing of life. She has even

provided me with some baby carriers from her babywearing library.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Jen. She has gone above and beyond what I expected from a doula. I highly recommend her.
