I cannot thank Kim enough for all her thoughtful care and support throughout the early stages of my labor.  I had no idea floor doulas were a service available to women delivering at Swedish First Hill (my first was a scheduled c-section for a breech presentation, so this was my first labor). Your amazing calm and supportive energy was totally transformative to my labor experience and all your tips, guidance, and props (the spikey balls!  the sling! the tea lights during the calming bath!) all were such powerful tools in taking such an overwhelming experience and making it manageable - and even a little fun!  Your presence as part of my care team was an absolute delight, and I'm so very grateful!

We found Brejanae through the Swedish doula program, and our experience working with her was amazing! We made the decision to hire a doula pretty last minute, and she was great about meeting us virtually and also squeezing in an in person to cover all sorts of information with us before the birth. With this being our first baby, we were really looking for someone to help support trying different movements to make labor easier and more productive, and for a general support system throughout the process. Brejanae was super proactive in sending me tips and workouts to do leading up to labor to help encourage the baby to be in the right position and stage, and to have a smoother delivery. The day of, we went to the hospital around 1am and Brejanae was available to be there as soon as we needed. She brings great energy to the room, a calming vibe, and a ton of great knowledge to use throughout labor and delivery. Highly recommend Brejanae and would absolutely work with her again!

Sam West is fantastic. She supported my husband and I at our daughter’s birth. From when I first met her, I was exceptionally impressed by how knowledgeable, professional and friendly Sam was. During the birth, Sam was highly competent, relaxed and reassuring, guiding us through possible labor positions, comforting me, helping my husband in terms of how best to support me, providing information, and ultimately, proving to be much more fully present, knowledgeable and supportive in guiding me through pushing than the labor and delivery nurse was. I ended up needing an unplanned ceserean - Sam was there throughout. In looking back at the experience my husband and I both agreed that we are not sure how we would have made through the birth without her. I cannot recommend her more highly.
