Amanda was an amazing doula. We had a planned home birth and throughout the whole pregnancy and process she was proactive about reaching out to make sure we didn't have any questions or needs. She did an in-person interview prior to being hired and went over her role in birth as well as going over some common questions. Amanda gave us resources for lactation consultants if need be as well as offered to help find any child birth classes. We had a very long labor, overnight and Amanda was extremely patient and stayed awake the whole night to be a huge mental support and encourager. Through each contraction, Amanda was there to help with breathing techniques and during breaks with contractions, there to help with position changes and offering water/food for more energy. We would definitely recommend Amanda as a doula! She is awesome!

Amanda is absolutely incredible. I initially reached out to her when I was around 20 weeks pregnant and totally clueless. Amanda was super patient with me and my husband, as we were not very informed and felt pretty anxious about becoming parents. She met with me several times before I gave birth, provided great educational resources, and helped me draft a birth plan that I felt good about. Although literally nothing went according to plan and I had to be induced at 41w5d, Amanda was super supportive and I know things would have been totally different if she wasn't there for us. I had to make some decisions I never wanted to consider regarding the induction and labor. Amanda was there to encourage and comfort me when all the options seemed overwhelming and disappointing. She never judged me and always believed in me. I felt very supported by her. Amanda has a very calming presence and gave me the confidence to get through the tough moments of labor. Though I had only met her a couple months prior, she didn't feel like a stranger or someone I had hired to do a job. I felt she became part of our family after helping us through such a stressful day and pivotal time in our lives. Her kindness and care was evident from day one. I would highly recommend Amanda to anyone and everyone! She is passionate about what she does and I'm forever grateful for her.

I don't know where exactly to begin, but I want to say that Amanda is amazing. She is the true definition of a maternal woman. she was with me through my entire induction (3 days). The whole thing was mostly intense but with Amanda present, she was the saving grace I needed. Her foot and leg massage was amazing! She really was great and I hope that if you are looking for a birth doula, you choose her. She is such an amazing human ! I honestly feel like I can never repay this woman For her kind generosity and service. I had such a rough labor but she literally helped me through it all. I am forever greatful.

I feel beyond blessed to have had Amanda as my Doula during the labor/delivery of me and my husbands first child together.  Having her guidance throughout the whole experience was extremely helpful in so many ways. She truly calmed any anxieties I had and helped me to understand what were important things to look out for leading up to the labor. Once my labor started we were in constant contact as she checked in on what my progress was and what was coming next. After about a day and a half I finally felt that I needed to go to the hospital and that I would meet Amanda there to continue the progress. But unfortunatley I wasn't dilated enough so they sent me home to labor some more. Thank God she was there through what would be the hardest 6 hours of my life. While my husband was helping to make me comfortable through each contraction, my faithful Doula was making sure to track everything that was happening as well as be the experienced support we both needed and her calm and collected presence was awesome. She made helpful suggestions and reminders throughout the evening and really made me feel like everything was under control (even though I felt I had none at the time.) At that point I felt it was DEFINITELY time to go to the hospital, and once we arrived they finally admitted me! From there I recieved the Epidural and was happy to finally have some pain relief! It was midnight by that point, so everyone curled up on the couch and waited for our little girl to arrive! The next morning it was finally time to push her out. With Amanda and my husband by my side, I felt like I had all the support I needed to make things happen. A couple hours later our precious girl was in the word! I was so thankful for all the help and love I felt! A couple weeks later Amanda came to check in on me and we chatted about the whole experience. I was truly touched by the detailed timeline she created of the entire labor and delivery... we will cherish it forever! xoxo
