I'm a first time mom, with no family around, just me and my husband so I knew I needed someone to help during labor and postpartrum. Before hiring Hannah I didn't know much about what to expect from working with a doula. But now I can with no hesitation say there is no way I could've done without Hannah's support and help. I did the whole package - classes during pregnancy, labor help and postpartrum support. I had an unexpected transfer from birth center to the hospital and Hannah was there reassuring me, helping to get through those pitocin induced contractions. When one thing stopped working she always had a back up idea.
Hannah was my biggest support during those postpartrum nights, when I was so sleep deprived and she was there to take care of my baby girl while I took much needed rest. She was always one text or call away whenever I had a question about something. And if she doesn't know the answer then she'll find it for you. As a first time mom there are so many things to worry about, so much unknown so I believe it is crucial to have someone like Hannah who is reassuring, she will thell you that you're doing a great job. Motherhood is a wild journey and with Hannah's help I felt more confident about myself as a mom.

Saying Hannah is the best may sound glib, but she is quite frankly the best support we got post partum. I would ask her to be a part of my process much earlier on next time if she would have us! We used her post partum doula services and she not only seemlessly helped me ensure I could continue to breastfeed our son (still going strong 11 weeks in), but she also expertly navigated conversations with my husband to engage him in how he was processing the experience. This is our first child so we had no idea what to ask for or how to ask her to help us. She just came in, made a few suggestions and laregly just did what she saw needed to be done before we even recognized it ourselves. The time she spent with us, though short, was critical to our success as a family now. There are not enough words for me to express my gratitude. Thank you Hannah! If you have the opportunity to work with Hannah you should feel comforted in knowing you are in the hands of an expert.

Hannah is my sister in-law and has nothing but compassion for mothers and parents in general. Her open-minded and level-headed approach to caring for mothers is so refreshing. I’ve never felt embarrassed to ask a question while she offered her doula service to me. She has so much knowledge and I’ve always felt so comfortable receiving care and guidance. I struggled with post partum anxiety and depression right after my first pregnancy in the late spring of 2017 and receiving the care from Hannah helped me cope and realize I wasn’t alone in my problem. It’s kept me mindful of the importance of taking care of myself, especially now that I have 2 kids under 2 years old (my second was born August 2018). If you are looking for prenatal, birth, and/or postpartum doula care, I would strongly suggest connecting with Hannah.
