There are no words to describe just how truly wonderful Sarah is. My husband and I met with Sarah not sure if we really wanted to use a doula or not and we both left our meeting knowing a doula was a great addition to our birth team and that Sarah was who we wanted to use. My husband and I moved to Boise when I was 6 months pregnant and I was feeling very overwhelmed and unprepared for the entire birthing process. Sarah is not only a wealth of knowledge on everything baby/labor related but she is also very passionate about creating positive birth experiences for families. She is so wonderful and easy to talk to about any concerns that you have and she does an incredible job of helping you to feel prepared. Sarah met with us several times before I went into labor and was a rock for me in the weeks leading up to the birth of our son. She taught both my husband and I tools to deal with the physical demand of labor but almost more importantly she was the support I needed emotionally to feel strong. I ended up having a rather tricky 50+ hour labor and I truly don’t know how I would have done it without Sarah by my side. She stayed up with me 2 nights with only a couple of hours of sleep on the floor of my hospital room. She gave my husband and I physical support and was the constant voice telling me I was strong enough to do this even when I felt defeated. When she could tell I couldn’t go another minute she would somehow come up with a new trick to keep me going. She was the perfect balance of calm and confident that was exactly what I needed. She was my voice when she could tell I felt uneasy or scared about anything going on during labor. I had my son 3 months ago and Sarah has continued to be a dear friend and support system for me. I could literally go on and on about this beautiful soul. It gives me goosebumps to think of all the families she is going to touch with her warm and generous heart.
Who knew that a doula could make all the difference? My
daughter, Capri and her husband Weston, wanted a natural birth with as
little medical interference as possible. We were off to a rough start
initially when the baby wasn't moving very much. After the staff insisted
that she had to be induced with medication and balloon inserted to encourage
dilation we were a bit off their ideal labor plan. My daughter started out
late in the evening and by 1 am she was writhing so we called her doula.
Once Sarah arrived on scene she began to normalize our experience. She gave
wonderful suggestions for relaxation such as aromatherapy, words of
encouragement, massage and when the baby wasn't in position she helped turn
him with the peanut and exercises. It was very calming to have someone
there that not only knew what was going on with Capri physically, but also
was familiar with the in's and out's of the hospital procedures and helped
empower Capri to make her own decisions during her 27 hour delivery. Sarah's
natural calm disposition goes hand in hand with her amazing knowledge and
efficient suggestions. She was wonderful and I can recommend her without any

Sarah showed so much love and compassion while I was laboring for 27 hours. She made my birth be exactly what I wanted. Although due to medical reasons, I couldn't stick to my exact birth plan, she just rolled with the punches. I cannot recommend anyone better! She loves what she does and you can see that before labor, during, and postpartum. She was on call for me most of the day, then when I felt like I lost control of the contractions, we called her in. She was there so quickly and immediately on her arrival I felt calm and in control of my birth. She kept me focused on the task at hand. We counted so many times to keep me in control of each and every contraction. And when I became nauseated she had peppermint oil to ease that nausea and get me past it. I call her my birth coordinator because so was so great with both my husband and my mom with keeping them apart of the birth. She had so many useful tips to flip my son who was sunny-side up. We eventually did flip him! She reminded me countless times that this is my birth and I have a say on what happens to me and my baby. After giving birth, I was excited to do the whole thing over again for the next baby in a few years with Sarah! She made me love labor and see it for what it truly is, a miracle.
My Wife and I met Sarah at a birthing cofidence class and we didnt plan on getting a doula. We are so blessed she aproached us to offer her services. The Birth of our boy was long and hard and i dont know if i could of handled it on my own. Sarah was by our side every second and step of the way, She worked incredable hard for us. Labor didnt go quit as planned, we had to be transfered to the hospital becuase the babys head got stuck and we had know ideah what to expect, her knowledg kept us calm and really releived alot of stress. Sarah realy helped boost our confidence for the big day She is such an amazing person, thank you Sarah
My husband and I met Sarah at our birthing class, which she was sitting in on. She was so warm and wonderful and we very much enjoyed spending time with her, so we kept in touch after the class and eventually asked her to be our doula. She helped us solidify the details of our birth plan and we were so looking forward to a natural, peaceful birth with no interventions. Of course, that's not how it worked out at all, but Sarah helped us navigate a host of issues in the last few weeks of the pregnancy. Our little girl was breech, and Sarah gave us the name of an excellent chiropractor who helped us try to get her to turn. Sarah also recommended a number of different positions that I could try. None of this ended up working for our little one, who was quite cozy where she was. Unfortunately, because of hospital policy, Sarah was not allowed to attend our daughter's birth, which ended up being a c-section. However, she offered invaluable support during my pregnancy. She really does believe that all births matter, whether you go for the totally natural approach, whether you need a c-section, or whether you end up with something in between. We tried absolutely everything we could do to get our natural birth, including a very painful and unsuccessful external version, but in the end, we ended up needing a c-section. My husband and I were both experiencing some sadness about that, but Sarah helped us see that we had already been making a lot of good parenting decisions for our daughter, and that we had done everything we could. It just wasn't in the cards for us to have a natural birth, and she helped us come to terms with that and be at peace with our daughter's birth story. And truly, when we held her in our arms for the first time, it didn't much matter how she had arrived. We were just overjoyed to have her with us. Sarah was the first one to see us in the recovery room and meet our daughter. We will forever be grateful for her kindness and support.
I don't even know where to begin. Sarah is amazing. We asked her to be my doula mostly for physical support and her knowledge but got so much more. Last year I delivered my sweet baby girl, still, at just under 25 weeks gestation. I felt everything physically and emotionally. When we were surprised with our son shortly after, I knew this birth needed to be something different. I wasn't just going through another labor and delivery, I knew I would also be thinking of my prior births and my sweet girl in Heaven. I was set on not having an epidural because I wanted to feel my son's body, full of life, come out of mine. I needed this and knew that a doula would help, I just didn't know how much. Sarah's knowledge, physical and emotional support was what I needed to go through the beautiful birth of my son as I had wanted. I had Bible verses printed out that she read to me when I couldn't, she encouraged me just the way I needed it, she was full of ideas to help lower my baby boy to make delivery easier, she was able to guide me and help me physically, she supported my husband which allowed him to be much more involved because of her help and knowledge and much much more. To say we were both amazed and thankful for her on such a special day is an understatement. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a doula!
