Maddy was our doula in both my hospital births of my boys. I had back labor for both deliveries, and she applied counter pressure immediatly to ease my pain. She listened to what I wanted and needed, and never tried to push her own agenda. I wouldn't give birth without a support like Maddy.

The birth of my first child was in the hospital, without a doula, and ended up being somewhat of a traumatic experience. I didn’t fully realize the weight of the trauma until the third trimester of my second pregnancy was approaching. The anxiety I had about labor and delivery was keeping me up at night. That’s when I reached out to Madeline and everything changed.  I wanted to have a natural, un-medicated birth in the hospital. I was looking for someone to coach, cheer, and generally advocate for me during labor – especially someone to help calm me down and keep me from panicking if there were signs of distress in the baby. Madeline did all those things and more! Prior to labor, she met with us multiple times and helped us prepare mentally and emotionally. During labor she rubbed my back the entire time I was not in the tub – the ENTIRE time! And in the hours, days, and weeks after delivery she checked-in on us to make sure all was well. I had an incredibly smooth labor and delivery and I owe it all to having Madeline there. Knowing she was there to take care of me, I was able to just focus on letting my body do it’s thing. It was an incredible experience and I cannot recommend Madeline enough.

We had Madeline come to our home for a 3 hour birthing class. She was super knowlegable and accomodating. We learned a ton and she was very patient with our questions.

This was a much better option than having to spend 6 hours in a group birthing class at our local hospital. The one on one time was invaluable! I would highly recommend her as a doula or just for birthing classes!

I contacted Madeline when I was 6 months pregnant because I wanted to have an unmedicated natural birth. This was my second baby, and with my first I didn't have a doula and tried to have an unmedicated birth but had various complications. It left me somewhat traumatized, I wasn't sure I could do it the way I wanted, and very fearful for another "emergency" situation. My goal with hiring Madeline was to overcome this fear and have a healing and successful ideal birth. And she facilitated that perfectly, beyond my expectations!

I knew I needed help with pain management #1, and felt confident in Madeline's approach to help me with that. What I didn't expect was how extremely comforting and helpful she was in the weeks prior birth. I was able to text her questions, worries, concerns, and she always reassured me and calmed my nerves. She was always there for me when I needed her. I ended up having my dream birthing experience - completely unmedicated and natural, and I very much credit this to Madeline's assistance and calming presence throughout the birthing. She helped me through every contraction, and created a relaxed environment. She came to our home for multiple visits, including a post-partum visit, and she provided an awesome "peanut" ball, essentials oils, and other very helpful tools.

I would emphatically recommend Madeline for any woman looking for emotional and physical support during birth and prior. She's the best! If I have another baby - I am definitely hiring her asap! My husband and I are both SO grateful for her. She is knowledgable and passionate about what she does. You'd be very fortunate to have her assistance with birthing - thank you Madeline for making my dream birth a reality!!!

A big thanks to Maddy at Bloom Birth Services for being a part of bringing our little girl into the outside world! As a first time mom I didn't know what to expect or how to prepare for childbirth. I also didn't realize how essential Maddy would be as our Doula. She provided practical support, encouragement and presence before, during and after the birth of our baby that were more than valuable for my husband and I. If you're pregnant and wondering if you need a doula, yes, you do! Give Maddy a call.
