Working with Nicole was a dream come true. In Nicole we found the perfect addition to our birth team. She provided the support, guidance and resources to help us prepare for and achieve the loving, safe, strong and calm environment we wanted for the birth of our first child and became a life long friend while we were at it.

My baby was born via induction at Mt. Sinai at the end of October. This was my second kid and second doula experience and the difference between the first and second is remarkable. Many doulas purport to support all birth journeys and styles, but the community skews toward a more natural, less intervention, approach. i respect all birth styles, but i wanted (and ended up needing) an epidural, an induction and some pretty intense postpartum intervention.

From the very beginning of this pregnancy (pee stick day) Nicole was there, being an amazing sounding board, support, resource and friend. She truly supported me and was very “mom-first” in her approach and validated all my feelings. During the delivery she was a champ, advocating for me, interjecting when uninformed nurses were making bad suggestions. She is also hilarious. My husband and i both had a lovely time, LOVELY, during labour and that was because of Nicole.

Her skills, knowledge of the process, hospitals and the birth community is impressive. Having someone that has done all the research and knows exactly what to do really unburdened me from that anxiety (especially at the end of a long, hard pregnancy).

All in all, Nicole is great and regardless of your birth style or journey she is an excellent resource and wonderful person

We were so happy to find Nicole. My partner and I are first time parents with no family in the city.

Needless to say we felt a little lost and overwhelmed with all the information coming our way.

We wanted a natural birth if possible and having a doula complimented our birthplan.

We had many concerns and questions, it was great to have her available via phone, text and email.

Her recomendations were invaluable and we really appreciated the constant support.

She made us feel at ease and prepared for the new addition to our little family.

I cannot express my gratitude for her loving support and we look forward to having her for our second child.

During our first pregnancy, we learned about doula’s and what they could offer us in terms of support along the way. This was something we felt we should look into and we began researching people in our area that offered this service. When we met with Nicole we instantly knew she was the right fit for us. Her calm, confident and easy-going manner exuded through during our conversation and we knew she would have the skills to calm the nerves of two slightly nervous and anxious parents-to-be.

We worked with Nicole to put together a birth plan that made us both feel comfortable about what lay ahead. Additionally, she recommended looking into Hypno-birthing, which gave us further resources to draw upon for the big day.

The day of the birth, Nicole was there with us from the early morning hours straight through the birth, calmly and attentively making sure that we both could just focus on each other and our soon to be new addition to our family. In moments when either one of us had a bout of panic, Nicole was able to calm us down with her confidence and positive energy.

We had such a great experience with Nicole during the birth of our wonderful little son that now that we are pregnant again we have immediately turned back to Nicole for support again. We look forward to our upcoming due date, knowing that we will have the support of someone who truly cares for us and our children.

Thank you Nicole for being part of our special day and for joining us again as we do it all over again!

Initially the idea of a Doula was kind of a fad I thought and I was going to have to convince my husband we needed to hire one.  But after the first meeting with Nicole I fully understood why a Doula would be an important part of my birth plan and my husband did not need any convincing.  From understanding whathe me and my babe needed in order to grow strong and prepare me most effectively for my birth to preparing me for the birth of our baby she covered all bases and did not miss a beat.  She was warm, realistic and shared her personal.experiences openly and honestly which helped us relate.  The service she provided prior to the birth was nothing compared to the long 36 hour birth I underwent.  She was a rock and helped both my husband and I make it through to the best of our abilities.  She provided birthing techniques and support that helped make labouring easier and her ongoing encouragement really helped me stay positive and provided a level of support both my husband and I could not get from each other so needless to say I would never consider birthing without a Doula, and specifically Nicole.

Nicole is an amazing, attentive, compassionate, and encouraging doula that I would highly recommend. She was always available to address any question, concern, or worry, both before and after my birth.  Her calming presence was much appreciated (especially in my 9 days of being overdue and while I was in labour.). She supported me through my labour, but also allowed (and directed) my husband and mom to support me.  She was the director, trouble-shooter, and coach that allowed me, a type A control freak, to relax and focus on birthing my baby.

I am convinced that her presence and guidance allowed me to relax and to have a quick delivery (6 hours, compared to my mom's long labours of 72, 19, 12, and 8 hours with her four children).  I wish everyone could have a Nicole to help guide them and cheer you through your pregnancy and delivery. Nicole gave me the gift of confidence And I know that my labour and delivery was such a special experience because she was there.
