Kate was my doula for my 5th birth. It was my first time having a doula and the first time I was able to achieve my goal of a full term, non medicated birth! She was an amazing support for both me and my husband the entire time. She truly kept me grounded with her calm and constant presence. Her encouragement and her faith in me kept me going even through my most difficult parts of labor, when I was feeling discouraged. I am so incredibly thankful I was able to have her as part of my birth team. I highly recommend her!

Hiring Kate was one of the best decisions my husband and I made for our birth experience.  Kate completed the missing piece in our  support system for the preparing, birthing, and caring of our first born.  There are so many unknowns that can cause worry and fear for soon to be parents, Kate helped ease those worries and fears and gave us a peace as we made our journey into mother and fatherhood.

First impressions of Kate were correct: professional, passionate, and caring.  Professional, in that she was dependable, did what she said she would quickly, on time, knowlegable, experienced, and resourceful.  Passionate about her role as a doula in every sence.  It was very important to her that she was there to support our wishes about our birth experience but she was also keen on educating us on topics that we were unaware.  She had a caring personality by checking on us before and after my birth making sure we were doing ok and always offering to talk things out, lend a hand, or help in any way she could.

8 months pregnant we found that our baby was breech.  Kate helped us work though the difficulty of that, knowing we were hoping for a natural, unmedicated labor.  We tried many things to get my baby to turn but turning wasn't meant to be.  Kate helped us devise an excellent gentle cesarean birth plan while also preparing my husband and I for a natural labor by showing us positions, answering questions, suggesting resources, and letting us barrow books on topics of interest.  She wasn't able to go into the operating room, however, she was able to meet us in the recovery room and help with latch and take pictures of the exciting new moment.  My son is 3 months now and she's still checking in on us.

Hiring Kate will be one of the best decisions you'll make for your birth experience just as it was for us.

How do I describe Kate Bell ? A Godsend , a pure Godsend . She has helped me through two out of three of my births . She is beyond knowledgeable about diet , exercise , and how spiritual mindset plays a huge role during pregnancy , labor , and post partum . She is more than a Doula . I had a traumatic experience with my last birth . It ended up with a c section , and I had post partum high blood pressure . I nursed my first for almost two years , and had to wean my last at three months due to severe health issues . She kept me from losing my mind . She was so supportive . She laughed with me , cried with me , and prayed with me . She was very encouraging and helpful without being judgmental . She understands personally that things don't always go "as planned " . The way she is able to help pick up those pieces when your plan falls a part says a lot about her character , her love for others , and her experience of the birthing process . I am aiming for a vbac in the next year , and I wouldn't even consider another baby if it wasn't for Kate . With her by my side I know no matter what I can get through anything .
