Relevant volunteer or advocacy work

My initial passion is to educate the community that doulas are affordable and available to all income moms/couples. Secondly I want to assist families to achieve the birth experience they desire, whether it be to avoid a first/repeat C-section, to have an unmedicated childbirth, or to offer additional support during labor or a planned cesarean. I am take pride in being an Evidence Based Birth Professional Member®, being a certified Birth and Bereavement Doula® through Stillbirthday, and I am in the final stages of finalizing my labor doula certification through CAPPA. I co-run two bereavement support groups in the Antelope Valley and Santa Clarita. I am on the board for the local DASC group as well as the local ICAN group. I mentor doulas in the Ridgecrest and Antelope Valley and volunteer my services with a national charitable doula organization.
