Stacy is positive and encouraging to the mothers she supports. She brings sensitivity and tenderness to her practice for vulnerable women and sought out a variety of experiences to express these strength, her confidence, intuition, compassion and dedication is why i want her next to be while laboring and during delivery. I had Stacy as my doula with my third and last child.  As I had switched from a planned hospital birth to a planned h around 36 weeks there were quite a few last minute decisions and preparations to be made, including getting Stacy on board!  Once labor hit and the midwives were called, I called Stacy in as well.  She was able to dedicate herself to me 100%, as the midwives had their own roles at the birth.  Her spirit was calm and gentle, her words and touches appropriate, and her presence was wonderful.  She walked with me, encouraged me, and supported me through this, my longest labor.  Also important to me was how well she interacted with the midwives, all seemed to be a cohesive web of support.  After the birth, she stayed and helped me recover, cleaned up, fed me and stayed even longer than the midwives to make sure I was settled.  I am beyond grateful for her love, joy, and presence at my birth and would most definitely include her again if the opportunity presented itself!

We had an at home birth and I'm so glad my mom, Stacy, was a part of it. When early labor started I called her and she was there before my midwife.  Having her there through the birth was such a blessing-she brings a peaceful atmosphere with her. My labor was very intense and she consistently reminded me to take a deep breathe, that I could do it, it would be over soon, and to remember the big picture. She was there to offer a wet washcloth, something to drink, etc. as my husband was occupied holding my hands and helping me through contractions. Mom has been passionate about birth as long as I can remember.  She cares deeply about the mother's she comes in contact with and wants to help create the best birthing experience possible however that looks like for the individual.  She understands that some people have different preferences than others and is intuitive towards that or will just ask. Some people might like their back rubbed while others just need a hand to squeeze, some want a very natural experience while others want to take advantage of medical conveniences. She won't push her options on you but will listen to your ideal and try to make sure that happens.  She is very knowledgeable and will help explain what is going on if you're not sure.  After the birth it was so nice to have her there also.  She got us food and made sure I started hydrated, cleaned things up, and made sure I had different things to help me be as comfertable as possible so that my husband could enjoy that time being close to me and our new little one. It's so nice to have someone you trust there during your birth so that you can focus one hundred percent on the task ahead and there's no one I would recommend higher ?

Stacy is my mom and I've had her at all four of my births. She is incredible and I'm not just saying that because she's my mother (; She is everything I would want in a doula. She knows when to step back and give space, she is a great hand to squeeze, she is very intuitive to what people need. I always loved having a cold washcloth by my face and she always had a fresh one to hand my husband. She is great at talking to Dr's and nurses and stepping in and asking questions if a birth plan is not being followed. She's had experience in both hospital and home birth settings and seems very comfortable with either one. She doesn't push her opinions on you, but works with you to make sure you have the best possible birth experience.

Highly Recommended!!!!!!!!!!!!
