The timing of my guess date, the summer holiday, and summer vacations meant that we were lucky enough to have both Hannah another doula on call for our birth. The preparation and communication during my prenatal period was mostly with the other doula but it helped me be completely comitted to a VBAC. Talking with both of our doulas helped us to develop a verbal birth plan (I did't want to commit to putting it on paper) that we were luckily able to stick to. Hannah was the doula available and arrived at the hospital bright and early on July 4th! She was great support for me and even more importantly was able to help my husband support me! I certainly recommend Hannah for care and support for your birth.

Hannah was amazing from the very first email correspondence all the way through postpartum. I felt an instant connection with her at our first visit. She was very open, friendly, well-organized and thorough. She made me feel very prepared and comfortable with all of the prenatal home visits and was always prompt. We practiced comfort measures, discussed the use of aromatherapy and further discussed my plans and back up plans. She was fantastic with my 3 year old daughter, who continues to talk about her. She was always available, whether it was an email or text and checked in just to see how we were doing. When I was in labor, she was available throughout the entire process and when I finally decided to head to the birthing center, she was right there to meet us. I had a fast and unmedicated labor and delivery and Hannah was there to hold my hand and offer words of encouragement. She took amazing photos and videos for me that I'll treasure forever! I couldn't have asked for a better experience and am incredibly grateful for Hannah's support! I highly recommend her!

Hannah was amazing as a doula, and I couldn't have asked for anything more. She provided tremendous support throughout the prenatal period by offering home visits every few weeks to go over labor support techniques and discuss any issues we were having. She made herself available through texts and emails to offer any additional help such as finding community resources or just to say she was thinking about us. During the labor and delivery, she was available through the entire induction process...which took a whole 4 days plus met us at triage for a false labor assessment. The techniques for pain relief that we discussed at our prenatal sessions were helpful. She offered massages, aromatherapy, suggested different positions, and music to help relax me throughout labor. She also listened to my worries and concerns during labor, and reminded me that it was my birthing experience and my body and I had the right to make whatever decision I felt comfortable with. In the postpartum period, she's also made herself available to do a postpartum visit to check in on us and offer any other support we might need. I would recommend her to anyone! She was such an amazing doula!
