We asked Christina to come along side us during our second pregnancy. She was amazing. I already had a birth plan from my first baby, but she helped me reassess it by asking good questions and encouraging me to ask questions of my provider. She was 100% supportive of every step and decision we made. When my pregnancy started to near the "high risk" category to where I would possibly have to deliever at a different hospital she was still willing to go with us. She was quick to offer prayer and expert knowledge when we needed it most. During labor, she was patient when it was slow going and never left my side. She was able to read the room and meet the need immediately. A bonus of having Christina is that she also takes beautiful pictures! We will treasure the memories and pictures forever. Thank you Christina for supporting and walking with us to bring our beautiful little princess earth side! Her calm, gentle and protective approach was a gift from God.

Christina is the BEST doula and I wholeheartedly recommend her. She is so kind, compassionate, warm, knowledgeable, and skilled at her work. My husband and I enjoyed our prenatal meetings with Christina and it helped us prepare for the birth. We felt so comfortable being in Christina’s care and she was always willing to support us and help us with what we wanted for our birth “plan” and backup plans. As for the birth, I unfortunately had a very long labor and some complications which ended up in an unplanned c-section. However, Christina was by my side the entire time. She helped me through the days of labor and then also my fears of medical interventions and surgery. So, I can confidently say that Christina is skilled at helping women through any type of labor and delivery. I have never seen anyone more committed to her clients or their “job” (even though I don’t think she would call it a “job,” but rather a passion). Christina was excellent at helping me through the unknowns of birth, pain, and coping (both physical and emotional). She also helped my husband cope through the birth which enabled him to support me better (this is key when labor is longer than expected!). Christina was so amazing that even my husband, who of course typically doesn’t have opinions about birth plans, is now recommending others to get doulas (specifically Christina!) for their births since it helped us so much. If you are on the fence about hiring a doula – I recommend that everyone does. And if you don’t know who to have by your side, I recommend Christina. She is truly a gem of a person --- you cannot ask for a better, or more committed, doula.

This is a review for Christina Dillehay, the doula for our first son. In case you don’t read this whole review, Christina was the best decision we made in preparation for his birth and you will not find a better member for your support team. Having gone through the process herself, she has experience from both sides.

From our first interview with Christina, we were in love with her. She showed a genuine interest in the betterment of my wife’s delivery process, even before we had decided on her. There are so many shifting emotions happening during a delivery, and Christina has mastered them all. She can be humorous and light when needed, but can also shift to being a calm and comforting presence. You feel the constant support every time she enters the room.

A baby may not be perfectly positioned to be ready for delivery. This can lead to a much more painful and complicated delivery. Christina understands this and can help with moving the baby around as you prepare for the event.

A doula is not required to have extensive medical knowledge and probably will not have any formal training. Christina has so much hands on experience with births and interest in your well-being, that she is the exception ___.

There is no question or comparison. Christina will make the entire experience much smoother and we will be using her for all our future children.

I'd highly recommend a doula and I'm glad we chose Christina. We valued the meetings we had with her before the birth; she explained everything to us and made us aware of all the options we had.

Our meetings with her were never rushed. She was very attentive to our needs and was able to answer all of our questions. Always cheerful and personable, she was like having a friend over to hang out and talk birth!

Her presence during my labor was essential to our success. She arrived quickly and without hesitation got to work on suggesting various positions to mitigate the pain (as much as it can be). She kept calm (which kept my husband calm) throughout all stages of labor and offered so much encouragement, reminding me that my body was doing exactly what it was supposed to be doing and that I was doing exactly as I should. When things got really intense, she reminded me to listen to my body and kept the goals that I had planned for my birth in mind. I really don't think I could have labored at home as long as I did without her. It was nice that my husband and her could take turns in caring for me and allowing breaks for each other. She took photographs of the birth with her camera documenting such special moments for my husband and I to have afterwards. That was really amazing because when you're in it, it's hard to remember all the really awesome details and now we will forever have photos to cherish the most special time in our lives.

Christina has a very natural way of fitting into your life during this special time. She's like a friend you've always known and the lifeline you and your partner need while you labor. I look forward to working with her again in the future.

My positive experience with labor and delivery was in a very large part due to having Christina as our doula. My husband and I felt strongly about having an unmedicated birth, and I knew that I would need the coaching and support of someone I trusted along with my husband to help us through our daughter’s birth. Christina was amazing. She met with us before the birth to talk about what we envisioned, gave us information, answered questions, and allowed us to get to know and trust her. She has a very warm, friendly, kind presence that made me immediately feel comfortable with her. She was able to ease a lot of my concerns, and is well informed on matters concerning pregnancy, labor, delivery, and newborn care. When I went into labor, Christina was there the whole time. She helped me to sleep through early contractions, helped me to focus, and eased pain through a number of incredible techniques. She walked through the experience with me, holding my hand and adjusting quickly to my needs. My labor was long but she never complained or made me feel like I was a burden to her. She was able to give breaks to my husband so he could eat and use the restroom, and they worked together as an awesome team. She took photos for us as well, which I will treasure for the rest of my life. I highly recommend Christina for anyone considering a doula – she is exceptional and I am so grateful that we chose her.

We were blessed to have, Christina, at our birth. As first time parents she was there to provide us the support & reassurance that we needed. We were able to have such an amazing intimate experience which propelled us into parenthood. She also took some amazing photos that my family and I will forever hold close. We couldn't have asked for a better Doula to by our side!
