I had the exact birth experience I dreamed of BECAUSE of Dani. This was our second birth and after a very traumatic first birth, we were hoping for a more positive experience by choosing natural methods. However, we didn't feel like we could adequately prepare ourselves with coping techniques-- that's where Dani came in. She had so many tricks & ideas for helping me manage pain and to keep my contractions going even when they stalled out. We wouldn't have had our 100% natural birth without her. My husband was completely against hiring a doula, but after our expereince with Dani, he's completely converted!

Having Dani at my birth was an absolutely amazing experience. She was so thoughtful, compassionate, and knowledgeable, which helped me to relax. She was 100% present and focused on me throughout my labor and it truly felt like there was no where in the world she would rather have been than in that room helping me to get through labor and delivery. I could not have asked for a better experience or doula to be by my side. Even my husband, who was a little skeptical at first of having a doula at this birth since it's our second child, has been singing her praises to anyone who will listen. I only wish I could have had Dani present during my first birth and have her there for any future children.

I was introduced to Dani through a mutual friend. The minute I met Dani, I immediately felt at ease that she would be at my son's birth. While we had only met a few times before my son arrived (he decided to come early), I felt totally comforable with her in the room during a very vulnerable, intimte time.

I chose to just have her and my husband attend the birth, and having Dani there proved to be absolutely beneficial to having the birth experience I wanted. When I became frustrated from exhuaustion and my body's slow progress, Dani offered a pep talk that encouraged me forward in my birth journey. As I quickly transitioned into active labor, she was right by my side with words of encouragement and cheering me on. She also kept the cool washcloths coming, which I so appreciated! I have no doubt she is one of the main reasons I was able to have an unmedicated birth — she is patient, sweet and encouraging in all that she does as a doula. Whether you want to do squats, shimmy with a scarf or bounce on a birthing ball, Dani will urge a mom-to-be to do what feels right in the moment. Her positive spirit is contagious, and there's no better doula to have on your side to advocate for you and keep you focused during a very physically and emotionally trying time.
