We had Bridgid as our birth doula and I don’t know what we would have done without her! As first time parents, we were pretty unprepared for the birth and the sleepless nights or taking care of a newborn afterwards. Bridgid was there all along helping us a lot!
I had a complicated induced birth being in labor for a day and a half through excruciating pain due to back labor ending up with a c section. Bridgid was there with us in the hospital from the time my labor started and through the emergency c section. She has a lot of experience and would walk us through the steps, asked additional questions for us to the nurses and helped with tons of positions that would ease my pain. She was there through the c section as well providing a lot of support, she even took pictures for us. After birth she came to us and helped with a lot of tips to get over the traumatic birth experience and take care of our little newborn! Hiring Bridgid as our doula was the last thing we did as our birth preparation but it was the best investment and it should have probably been the first thing we did!

Bridgid is amazing! We hired her to join us for the birth of our daughter on April 19th 2018. At first we weren’t sure if we even needed a doula but when I met her her knowledge of labor and the thought provoking questions she asked me made me realize that we could benefit from working with an experienced doula and mom. During my 24 hour labor she kept me company, helped keep my mind off of the contractions by talking with me, walking with me and even helped cook my husband and I breakfast to keep us fueled up and energized. She was so good at anticipating our needs and really made the event special. I remember coming home and finding frozen pancakes in the freezer labeled “baby pancakes April 19th 2028”. That was just one little way that she helped hilight the special moments. It also meant the world to me when she came over and rubbed my forehead when the midwives were sewing me up and she suggested that I hold my daughter. It was very comforting during an uncomfortable procedure. She also was a rock for us when we had an unexpected hospital stay following the birth. She made sure we had everyhing we needed, including an overnight bag, for the next few nights. I am grateful for her care and  partnership through the process and all the helpful advice that she shared with us. I would highly recommend her for any birth!

Bridgid was amazing.  She was very professional and super easy going which made the processes laid back and very enjoyable. First of all we spoke over the phone. After that she came to our house after our little one was down to go over the contract and meet and greet us to see if it was a good fit for both of us. After she left our house we knew that we'd sign the contract even though she demanded that we sleep on it. We called her shortly after with the good news that we'd like to hire her and have her join us on our birthing process. We set up several appointments all of which she came to our house well prepared for. She had her notes and knew all of her stuff and if not would later on send us with links to the newest research and or other related items which we had questions on. As the due date came closer she would reach out more often via telephone and or text asking how I was doing. About 3 weeks before our due date I had updated her on the status that the baby was measuring a little on the small side and that I'd keep her posted. The next appointmnet at 2.5 weeks prior to our due date I was told that my amniotic fluids was too low and that I would be having my baby that day. This was not the news that I wanted to hear, but we made plans accordingly.  I sent Bridgid a text around 9:30 am and updated her that my c-section was scheduled for 4:30 pm that day and that check in was at 2:30 pm.  She said that she'd make arrangements for her family and meet us at check in.  She was there ready to go when we checked in and helped us through the unexpected c-section.  She was very helpful with management of my family and friends and keeping us updated on what was going on. It was not what we had planned, but Bridgid made it the best possible experience by speaking up for us when needed and steping back at other times.  Thank you so much for helping us make our birthing story a positive one even though it did not go as planned!!
