Jacquie was a pleasure to have as my doula. She is warm and easy to connect with. I really enjoyed having her spend time with my daughter and I for our post partum care. I looked forward to each of our visits and I am so grateful for her support. She helped with household chores & cooking, and it was nice to have her hold and care for my newborn so I could relax and enjoy a shower! I really appreciated her open-mindedness and her assistance with elimination communication. I will especially miss our afternoon chats. Thanks Jacquie! I hope our paths cross again soon <3

We had jacquie as our doula and she was absolutely amazing! She made us feel prepared prenatal and helped with great recipes for labor and post labor snacks, herbal healing aid and emotional support. She was readily available and very informative. During labor she was so supportive for myself and partner she stayed for the entire time and made sure I had everything I needed, including warm blankets, balls, staying hydrated and aids with nausea and so much more. We couldn't have been happier. Jacquie helped so immensley with the birth of our son and helped keep our anxieties down. I would highly recommend her and be sure to take advantage of all her knowledge about herbs, food and all the other  lnowledge she has!

Jacquie was amazing all around. From her calm presence and non-judgemental demeanor, to her extensive knowledge of alternative pain management methods, she exudes a quiet confidence that rubbed off on me and made me feel more confident in myself and this journey. I really appreciated her training/education and previous experience; I feel it contributes to a well-rounded practice.

Jacquie was incredibly supportive of my vision for the birth.  She offered additional information/resources and links (including reviewing my birth plan and making a few suggestions of things I'd missed) to help me become as informed as possible as we progressed along in the pregnancy. Once or twice I felt the need to advocate for myself in conversation with my care provider, and Jacquie made me feel very supported - like she was in my corner.

That Jacquie offers additional birthing tools like a birthing tub, the Kaya stool, and homeopathic remedies for during and post-labour made me feel like I had everything I needed for managing the pain and discomfort of labour (and some great post-labour aids) as long as I had Jacquie :)

Jacquie was incredibly helpful while we laboured at home, gently offering the pain management tools we had discussed and fully supporting my attempt to have a home birth. She was also a great support person for my partner as he was navigating this adventure for the first time. We did end up transfering to hospital, and Jacquie was equally amazing at the hospital. She happily traveled with us in our car, even though it meant she had to leave her car at our house to be retrieved at a later time. She advocated for me in the emergency room when a pushy security guard tried to make me sit in a wheelchair while I was having a contraction, and she fully supported us during the delivery, remaining ever present and helping us stay calm and informed at all times. I don't know how we would have done it without her! :)

It was amazing to have Jacque as our Doula! She provided valuable information to prepare for the birth and answered all our questions and concerns. She is very skilled and knowledgable and I really appreciate her holistic approach. When labour arrived, Jacque provided such incredible support and was thoroughly present. She was encouraging and was really there for what I needed. She suggested different techniques which made such a difference in helping with the intense contractions. Jacque contributed to my natural home water birth and assisted in making it an empowering experience. I highly recommend Jacque as a Doula!

When we look back on our amazing and special birth experience we realize that it would not have been the same without Jacquie. Jacquie met with us several times prior to labour and she was always such a great listener, she helped us to develop a birth plan and had several thoughtful suggestions.  Everything from natural remedies to prepare in advance to help with healing after labour, food and drinks to prepare for during labour, amazing food and snacks to have once the baby came along, labouring positions, and of course many, many ways to support mom during labour.

We planned a home birth, but my husband had concerns about my plans and Jacquie really helped him become more comfortable with my desire to birth at home. When the big day came, she was at our house from the moment it began - she went for walks with us during early labour and she even made a "birthing cake" (I survived on that cake in the early days after the babe came!)  She helped my husband to support me through each contraction with counter-pressure techniques, and was always there to offer me the home-made "labour aide" that she made so I could stay hydrated. Jacquie did an excellent job of timing the contractions and when the midwives arrived it was time to push. There was even a 'hiccup' and our midwife couldn't make it because she was called in to another birth, and Jacquie kept us calm and focused until the back-up midwife arrived (this was a HUGE deal as you can imagine... without Jacquie we probably would have got scared and gone to the hospital at that point).  She took beautiful photos that we will cherish forever (and she respected our request to keep the photos free of any private parts or more intense moments).

If we decide to have another baby we will call Jacquie again in a heartbeat! She helped us make our birth plan a reality and we are ever grateful for the truly passionate and caring service that she offers.
