Attends hospital births? All Hospitals
As an experienced birth doula with a background working in a hospital doula program, hospital births are my area of expertise. I believe hospital birth experiences should be safe, supported, and positive, and enjoy working WITH your care team of OB/GYNs, midwives, and nurses to ensure that you feel empowered and in control of your birth. I have attended births at St. Luke's Boise and St. Luke's Nampa, and am familiar and comfortable with the staff and facilities at St. Luke's Meridian and St. Alphonsus Boise.

In the Treasure Valley we are fortunate to have several beautiful, clean and magical birth centers with skilled, talented midwives to choose from. I am extremely comfortable in both birth centers and have a good working relationship with the midwife and student teams at each.

Danielle is an amazing doula! Both my husband and I we grateful having worked with her . I had the best experience during my labor. She was patient, supportive, loving, caring throughout my labor. She even came to visit me and makes calls after labor to check to make sure I was doing alright. I'm so thankful that I had to experience my birth with. I would recommend her wonderful and amazing work.
I could not recommend this woman more highly! My first child's birth was a disaster resulting in an emergency C-Section. I knew that if we had another child I wanted to attempt a VBAC. After doing a lot of research I knew that this time around we needed a Doula to advocate for my husband and me and help us to face some unresolved trauma. Danielle was so knowledgeable and attentive. She anticipated my needs before I even knew what I needed and offered fast support when I started having my doubts about trying for a VBAC. Due to the hospital regulations because of the Corona Virus, I was allowed one support person in the delivery room. My husband and I opted to have her in the room with me while he watched the birth virtually. This was such an unusual situation, but she did everything in her power to make my husband feel present and involved. She offered me incredible support in the delivery room. She gave me the constant encouragement I needed to push past my fears and have successful VBAC. I am so incredibly grateful for her calm demeanor and the atmosphere she created in an otherwise sterile hospital room. I attribute much of the success of my VBAC on her presence. I would recommend Danielle's services to anyone looking for an ally during their birth. She is someone who will rally behind you and support your goals the whole way through.
We decided late in my pregnancy to hire a doula. Danielle didn't have to take us on as clients, but she did. From the first time we spoke on the phone I knew it was going to be a good match. After having a difficult labor and delivery with our first born we were wanting a completely different experience. Danielle took the time to listen about the trauma I had experienced. She is gentle and understanding.
When the time came for my husband and I to get a little more help, she arrived quickly. As labor progressed and the contractions increased in intensity Danielle used the phrase "stay on top of it" or maybe it was "keep on top of it", either way those simple words carried me through. At one point the on call midwife was not answering and it looked like we were going to the hospital and not the birthing center. Danielle kept her cool. Finally they got someone on the phone and we were on the way to meet our sweet girl. Danielle was by our side offering drinks and snacks. She kept up with the encouraging words and led us to the finish line. She stayed with us until I was stable, then politely went on her way so we could have our "magic hour" of bonding.
My husband and I are so grateful that she was part of getting our little one into the world. She has stayed in touch and is still available if anything comes up.
We got the birthing experience that we had hoped for. It was even better than we could have imagined! We know this is because she was part of it. She is an amazing woman!
Leading up to my birth, my first pregnancy, I had a number of factors causing me anxiety and insecurity. Danielle was supportive and available to me through my pregnancy and helped me uncover some of my fears and concerns. This helped guide my thoughts and actions as a prepared for labor and made me more confident that I could bring things up with her if I chose to. During my labor, which was a bit long and unrelenting, Danielle stayed right by my side and never stopped supporting me in whatever way I needed. She checked in with me, offered suggestions, and stayed quietly present. Whatever I needed. For about 12 hours I labored and Danielle really helped me get through each stage. I had no idea when I was in transition but once it was clear she guided me to prepare mentally for that very different stage of labor. Danielle was completely nonjudgmental of my struggles being a first time mom. She has also been available to me postpartum. I would definitely choose Danielle again as my doula and I would highly recommend her to any mom or mom-to-be!
I can't say enough good things about Danielle! I really don't know if I could have done the VBAC without her. I wanted an un-medicated VBAC after an unplanned c-section with our first child because we very much would like more than two children. Whenever I faltered or struggled with the pain, Danielle looked me right in the eyes and reminded me of the goal, reminded me that the pain was bringing the baby, that I could do it, and that we were so close. She knew how important it was to me and never lost sight of the goal. She wouldn't let me give up on myself and we did it! I know my husband really appreciated having her expertise and confidence; it helped him know that we were on the right track.
She was also terrific leading up to the delivery. I had numerous days of false labor in the last few weeks, and it was great to have her to text first instead of only the midwife. She was helpful, supportive, and always responded right away.
We'll absolutely have her back for the next baby!
Danielle worked as a birth doula for the hospital-based doula program I run. She is a phenomenal doula - very professional, incredibly competent, understanding, and compassionate. I give Danielle the highest recommendation. I would hire her as my doula any day.
I had reservations about using a doula for my daughter's birth, solely because I am slow to warm up to people, especially in such a vulnerable time.Upon meeting her she was the best combination of professional and down to earth. She gained my trust by being so patient with my husband's crazy questions and low understanding of a doulas role. She always took the time to fully listen and hear what birth informationI had researched and her experience with each new idea.We had met 2-3 times before labor day.
Labor started at 3am, and I called Danielle at 3:30am.I left a message but she quickly called me back. We figured out together that my contractions were 3-4 minutes apart and that we needed to meet her at the hospital. She was at the L&D check in desk and joined us to the triage room.I needed to lean on my husband for each contraction and she was at my back giving counter pressure in all the right places. At one point the baby's heart rate monitor want picking up and my husband became very nervous.Danielle explained the baby is probably moving down into position. She knew so much more than we ever did! At 8cm dilated, I waddled to the delivery room. I became very uncomfortable and Danielle suggested the position I pushed in for my first childs labor. She also retrieved one of those peanut shaped balls to lean on. Within minutes my water broke and baby girl was here! (45 minutes from arriving to the hospital) Much faster than I had anticipated, but Danielle had a feeling!! She took some candid (but tasteful!) pictures and came with us to the mom/baby room.
Danielle stopped by later in the day and within the week of us being home, offering to help with dishes, laundry, the dog, other child, etc. All I wanted to do with her was be social & debrief the birth!
Throughout this experience, I felt very impowered, supported, and like I had a friend I could trust to pick up the pieces I had forgotten about. She's fantastic!
Danielle was my Doula during my pregnancy with my daughter, Elizabeth. Being a new, first time mom and not knowing what to expect out of pregnancy while also being several states away from any family, I decided hiring a Doula was the right choice for me to ensure I had the personal, one-on-one support I needed during labor.
During our first meetings, Danielle took the time to explain and go over aspects of labor that my Obstetrician didn't necessarily have time to do during monthly checkups. She also was able to help me establish "birth preferences" for when I went into labor, which gave me a wider range of knowledge of options than I would have had without hiring a Doula.
Having Danielle as my Doula by my side during labor provided me with the confidence and extra peace of mind that I believe in part aided in labor being quick and uneventful for both me and my baby, which was my goal during the whole process.
I'd highly recommend Danielle to be your Doula during your pregnancy journey! She is bright, caring, knowledgeable, reliable, attentive and supportive!
