Jane, in a word, is "Awesome"! No idea how much there is to process during labor. The unending stream of doctors and the information they are trying share about health concerns. Adding complications we did not foresee was a perfect storm for uncertainty, confusion, and feeling overwhelmed. I would not have been able to interact with the doctors, process new concerns, and effectively support my laboring wife.  Jane enabled us to experience a very satisfying and meanful labor.

Jane, being a fountain of knowledge, always had a position we could try. Everytime she had to explain something it was down to earth and easy to understand. Ask her about the balloon and golf ball and you will never look at labor the same. During labor Jane encouraged us to stick to our labor plan when labor was very painful and slow for my wife. When I was supporting my wife 1 on 1 Jane was able to interact with the doctors, allowing my wife and I to preserve the relaxed atmosphere we were establishing and maintaining. Meeting Jane before, during and after labor was always a pleasent and enjoyable time.

In a word, Jane was amazing. I would not have the birth outcome I had without her help and support! My husband even raves about her, she helped him feel confident in supporting me through labor. Her dedication to us was incredible as my labor started and stopped several times. She came to the hospital twice for us and was there for hours! She even slept in the hospital lobby at one point because of his things were progressing. When things picked back up rapidly, she was back to us in minutes.

She was helpful through every stage of the pregnancy as well. She has so much pregnancy and birthing wisdom.

We simply cannot say enough wonderful things about Jane. If we end up having another child, there is no one else I would consider to walk with us through the process.

Jane was such a pivotal part of my labor(and pregnancy) experience for my third and fourth children.  Janes attentiveness to my needs/wants were the reason I could relax and  let labor progress in such a natural and lovely way. Yes, labor was painful, but with guidance and the calming techniques Jane used I was able to be steady and strong.  My deliveries were exactly as I had envisioned.  Even despite a few moments when fear could have crept in Jane helped calm the environment and instill peace.  If there is any chance of me having a fifth child, Jane will be one of the first I will call!

As first time parents, my husband and I were rattled with anxiousness and excitement - we didn't know what to expect! I knew I wanted to labor without drugs of any kind and as little intervention as possible.  However,  my husband felt assurance with knowing medical statuses through interventions and he also struggled with the thought of seeing me in the pain labor is expected to bring.  He did not feel having a doula was necessary either. When I interviewed Jane (without my husband) I shared my concern for our opposing viewpoints.  My husband let me call the shots on hiring Doula Jane and the birth plan, but Jane's mission wasn't just to make me comfortable, she wanted to do all she could to make both my husband and me comfortable with the decisions we would make together.  Jane made sure to hear my husband's point of view - she asked him questions and she truely listened.  During the prenatal visits Jane shared a ton of valuable information to help us learn what to expect and what would be happening physically during the different stages of labor and contractions.  During these visits Jane observed the dynamic between my husband and me to help her help us.

During my labor I was quick to try everything Jane suggested, except one thing (belly cradle)  I was too scared to do it because I knew it would do the trick.  But Jane NEVER pushed me to do it before I was ready. In my very focused mind set, I remember my husband "having a moment" with me to reassure me of what my body was capable of doing naturally and suggested we try that belly cradle.  20 minutes later we had an alert, smiling baby!  No drugs for me (yippie!) AND my husband shouts praises for Doula Jane whenever people ask about our labor experience.

Jane's commitment to me AND my husband is something I truely, deeply value because our first parenting experience was done as a team.  We are so grateful for Jane!!

Janice was such a rock and goddess for my third birth. She shit those nurses up when they gabbed 'at work' for I wanted a quiet birth, she was the best coach, support, rock, advocate, Interpreter.

I was at peace giving birth with her there knowing she supports me and the baby alone. That peace of mind is invaluable in such a vulnerable position. I support her and promote her with every pregnant woman I come across even those that don't want the adobe.

Janocw is a stong, dedicated, loving, caring, supportive woman that has her calling and is shining in it.

If I have more beanies I will be a devoted client.

Jane served as my doula with my second birth. It was a long road as I experienced prodromal labor for about 2 weeks before the birth of my son. Twice before he was delivered we labored together for hours looking like he was coming only for things to slow to stop again. The support and encouragement she gave me though these challenging moments was so appreciated and needed! She is an amazing five star doula for sure!!! ??????????
