Telika Howard was super great my entire pregnancy. This was my first pregnancy & even though I had a lot of support from family & friends it was something about me just wanting to have a doula to really know as much as possible. I was matched with Telika though the Mae website & it was the perfect match. She was there answering all the questions and concerns I had during pregnancy because we talk through text if I had a quick questions & we did meetings on zoom calls that was very informational as well. She help me come up with the perfect birth plan & made sure the hospital staff knew about my birth plan no matter how many times she had to tell them because during labor everything moves so fast but she made sure they did exactly what I had in my birth plans & still was able to tend to me no matter what. During my labor pains Telika was  super great helping me get through them rather she was having me on the ball, breathing control or her massaging me through my entire labor. Even once my baby came out it was like she was super women lol. She was with me & my baby making sure things was exactly how I ask for it to be. Even after she is also great when it comes to knowledge on breast feeding my baby was latching on right away after birth, but after the next day or so I stated having trouble with him latching on so in our 2 days in the hospital after birth I did had to use an alternative when it came to feeding him even after hospital staff tried to help with the process. By the time we came home I had an breastfeeding appointment set with Telika & she came over helping me with my baby latching on & just like that my baby is back latching on good & I'm also pumping through out the day. So I'm so thankful for being match  with Telika Howard she was for sure a great doula & made my first pregnancy as smooth as possible. Thank you to her & really appreciate her for my amazing experience with her as my doula

Ms. Telika Howard was wonderful the entire process. I was connected with her services towards the end of my second trimester. I am a first time mom with little knowledge about child birth and preparation. She provided me emotional support, and physical comfort during labor. Also acted as a liaison between myself and hospital staff with vocalizing my birth preferences. She helped me prepare a realistic birth plan that included back up plans. Her knowledge, kindness, and experience was such a great relief that made me feel confident about giving birth.

My experience with Telika was naturally pleasant. She was more of an experienced friend than "staff". She is very informative and down to earth. Very hands on during labor making sure that your moment is as pleasant as possible. I would highly recommend Telika as a doula.

I feel like she did a awesome job because without her my labor would have been hard and I can call her at anytime and she she'll pick up the phone.

Telika was all I could ask for in a doula! She joined me for 11 hours of labor. She had a great balance of offering suggestions and giving space for me to do what felt right at the time. Telika is kind, patient, knowledgeable, and supportive. She encouraged and coached me through what felt like an eternity of labor. When I felt like giving up, she advised me to have my midwife check me because it seemed I was ready to push. Sure enough, it was time! She got me through the final stage and supported me in getting my healthy newborn to breastfeed immediately after birth. I couldn't have asked for a better doula!

As we prepared to give birth to our first child, we were very grateful for Telika's calming presence and knowledge. She took in our plethora of concerns and questions about childbirth and always responded quickly (sometimes within a matter of minutes via email) with options and suggestions based on our needs and her understanding of the birthing industry. Her kind spirit and years of birthing experience were an incredible reassurance throughout the journey. We highly recommend Telika's doula and lactation services and will definitely be contacting her for future births.
